The taste was not too sugary and Tasted very much like ice cream more so yogurt of course I would recommend yogurt versus ice cream because of the sugar content. It's absolutely healthier than many other ice cream shops. The bathroom not so clean had stuff on the floor paper towels toilet paper it's a good thing I didn't step on toilet paper or otherwise it would look ridiculous on my shoe. In addition to the signage being totally misleading, the staff clearly has no clue what gluten is. Luckily for us, his recommendation was spot on as La Ola is a great little ice cream shop with a large variety of different cures to whatever your sweet tooth desires. Parking is pretty accessible as it's in a small strip of stores and restaurants and there's ample outdoor seating as well to take in a nice summer night. The interior of the store is also nice and clean, making you feel like you're in a well run place from the moment you step in. We ordered a banana pudding scoop in a cone and a scoop of the Cookie Monster in a cup. The line here moves pretty quickly which is good so we didn't have to wait long from the moment we entered to the moment we began eating outside. The ice cream was delicious. The banana pudding tastes just as advertised with chunks of Nilla wafer throughout the bites, incredibly spot on. The Cookie Monster also tasted great, essentially a cookies and cream scoop dyed blue, but why not have a bit of fun with it? The whole experience was great and if ice cream isn't your thing they have numerous other options like shakes and ice pops to get you by. The only ding we can think of is that the trash outside was overrunning and looked like it hadn't been changed in hours. Nevertheless, we're very glad we stopped by here to get a sweet treat and would highly recommend it to anyone in the far South Austin/Kyle area looking to cool off on a summer night.

We've come for the soft opening, the opening in April, and multiple times in between, and each time everyone is wonderful. Even when I knew they must have been exhausted - each person was lovely. They're patient even when someone wants every sample under the sun, and they're patient when someone is taking 10 minutes just to order a tadpole Italian Ice. The Italian Ice is also delicious, and same with the gelati! My current favorite is the Spicy Mango which is mango Italian ice, Chamoy, vanilla gelati, and tahin. ALL DAY LONG. It hits EVERY TIME. My kiddo loves the grasshopper, but he tried the Blue Razz today with vanilla gelati and Nerds, and it was also super good and didn't taste too sweet or artificial!
