I frequent smoothie kings all over the Texas and Louisiana. This has been my first negative experience ever. Walked in after my flight to get a strawberry hulk with a scoop of strawberry gladiator protein. Why? Because I want 42 grams of protein. But instead of a simple transaction I was standing there and a young lady walks from the back in a black hoodie and doesn't say hi, no "welcome what can I get you" nada. Just "what can we get you". Fine whatever I'll just order. Got my order and when I asked for the protein she shot bad "it doesn't change the flavor". I don't give a rats ass if it does or not. I want the protein. They had some bars there as well and I picked one up and asked "hey these any good", because normally folks say "tried it, not for me" or "there are better ones" , etc. She she said "I don't know" sharply. Fine. Paid for my smoothie and left. I will actively avoid this one next time my travels take me to Nola. Toodles. read more

I went for an açaí bowl. Came home and found these plastic remnants in my bowl as I ate it. Called the store multiple times and even reached out to customer service. No response. I believe customers deserve better. Placing this review in the hope that management see this and makes a more conscious effort to provide higher quality products and more open, responsive communication. read more

This morning at 8:45am I came into this smoothie king. A women was the only person working at this time and she greeting me by saying. We only have 6 smoothies due to the water advisory and started to name those smoothies really fast. I barely heard what she said. Following that she refused to repeat the list again so I chose the first smoothie she yelled out which was angel food. I asked her if she could use almond milk instead of regular milk. She said "we out of it". Then I asked for regular strawberries, so said "we only have the soaked strawberries". Next I questioned her about why were y'all out of everything, and I asked to speak to a manger. She says "I am the manager, and you can leave". This is by far my favorite Smoothie King in all of Metairie. It's the corporate store so I feel it is run a little more efficiently because of this. The staff here are always so friendly and helpful. They are quite knowledgeable about not just smoothies but the supplements, energy bars, protein bars, snacks, etc. that they sell as well. I get coupons sent directly to my cell phone so when I go in, I just pull up the text message and show them at the register and that's it. How awesome is that?! These smoothie makers are the real deal. I've been to so many other locations that I can't even begin to count them all, but these people at this store make THE BEST smoothies. They're always consistently good and perfectly blended. The manager Alex is amazing. He is always so upbeat and happy to help customers. read more

This location recently got a new manager maybe a year ago. After speaking with the new manager, blonde hair and tall, I learned although she was new to this location, she has been working for Smoothie King for ten years!! She also told me that this is the Corporate training store which I never knew. This store is beautiful, updated and smells like fruit instead of a bad, "chemical like" odor. I noticed the employee turnaround here slowly happening and wondered what happened to the existing staff, which I had grown comfortable with, but the new staff here is more friendly and wiling to help any way they can. The smoothies are also always consistent and blended perfectly. There's been a positive change and I drive out of my way to come here now. Great job! read more

Just went in today. 5 people ahead of me and only one girl working the smoothies. She got everyone out, but when it was time for my smoothie, she stopped, washed 5 blenders, went into the back to replenish some ingredients, then worked on the order behind mine. I questioned where my smoothie was and she pulls out a blender that had been sitting on the base for the past 5 minutes and says, "Sorry." I said, "No, I'm sorry." She shoved the smoothie at me. I got no straw and no thanks....her name was Cristina. This location should have kept the last crew they had...better personality and quicker service. read more
