Considering its the only HD location on the Westbank, you gotta visit it right? Even more so after gorging myself next door at Reginellis and my diabetes is calling for more sugar, I gotta hit it. Friendly staff and as far as Haagen Dazs goes it has a really good selection of flavors. New location and all. It isnt cheap tho but it is good. Fun fact, they have the worlds loudest credit card keypad. BEEP!!

Brownie à la mode shake and pralines and cream milkshake.

It's was a little pricey compared to other ice cream shops. We had milkshakes it was decent.

Work hard, play hard. My reward for over 80 miles this week.

Look, I don't know who decided to open a Häagen-Dazs on the Westbank, but I'm not one to question small miracles. Also, whomever decided to open up a Häagen-Dazs next door to a Reginelli's is a damn genius and deserves multiple awards. Who doesn't crave something sweet after eating salty pizza? This is the only Häagen-Dazs location on the Westbank, and I'm excited that it's so close to my house. It's dangerously close, y'all. I had been passing this place for weeks, waiting for them to open, and the day finally came and off me and David went. The shop is pretty small with limited seating, but that's not a big deal. They can hold about as many people that usually lurk around at an ice cream shop. I decided to get a small (one scoop) pralines and cream in a waffle cone and David got a banana split caramel thing that came in a cup. I should mention that not only does Häagen-Dazs have the classic "strawberry, chocolate, vanilla" flavors, but they have fancy-pants flavors too. My pralines and cream was delicious and I MIGHT have finished it before we even got back to the house. Ooops. On top of that. they have hot fudge and caramel on tap- like a beer tap for hot fudge. And get this- it's warm, y'all. They put some on David's banana split cup thing and he loved it. I stole a taste and the warm caramel is delicious with the cold ice cream. This might be the place where dreams are made. If you're in the mood for something a little more simple, they have wrapped ice cream bars in a case. They also have ice cream cakes and milkshakes, because of course they do. They staff was super friendly and I know that this will likely be our new Westbank dessert spot. I'm so excited they're here!

Hidden gem in the Westbank! Although prices are a little high, Haagen Dazs is known for their high quality ice cream. I believe it is the only stand-alone location in NOLA. If I'm not mistaking, the other locations are in the Riverwalk, Zoo, or Aquarium. I had the brownie a la mode. Really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back whenever I am in the area and looking for delicious ice cream!

This unassuming spot in a strip mall was gorgeous inside. And it serves coffee, pastries, ice cream plus y'know candy. AND they roast their own nuts, spices and I guess coffee beans. There were definitely folks hanging out and enjoying a Turkish style coffee... I guess either the caffeine doesn't hit them the way it does me or they had no plans to sleep. The candy isn't labeled 100% correctly but you kind of know that gummy worms are not gummy strawberries. I tried an assortment bag of gummies and some of chocolates and the price was by the pound. Re got some freshly roasted unsalted cashews and they were delicious! Parking is easy in the strip mall lot. And as you step in you definitely leave Louisiana and step into another country.

They also carry some gummy and chocolate varieties, some spices, some boxed coffee, some Middle Eastern pastries. Only some things were labeled with either what it was or the price of it, so that was a little disorienting. I was surprised to find a cafe and gelato bar inside. The gelato flavors were incredible. I settled on popcorn caramel and baklava in a waffle bowl. An employee said that everything was made in-house. The price was standard considering that all was made there. The service was weird. I kept getting served after people who'd gotten there after me. My ice cream scoops were significantly smaller than my boyfriend's. Returning isn't high on my list of priorities, but I'm glad I tried them.

We went in pretty late (around 8pm) and were pretty disappointed. Half of the flavors that we were excited to get (Cheesecake, strawberry, cookies and cream, tart, etc) were all slightly runny :/. Some toppings were clumpy, so we couldn't add it properly in our bowl. The bathroom is disgusting, where water was running from under the toilet, causing the floor to be wet. The service was okay - we did want to try to sample some flavors but there was only 1 employee and she was busy at the cashier. The toppings are slightly flavorless.

Line for toppings was slow going but that's to be expected when you have kids making decisions. I went for a little squeeze of this yogurt and that yogurt. I ended up with coconut, pineapple, banana, mango and pomegranate. No toppings. I love that the price is by weight, because that felt fair. I think mine was around $6. The cashier was rocking it by herself, getting everyone through without looking stressed. The store itself needed to be cleaned: tables were dirty, the toppings were everywhere and the yogurt catch trays needed cleaning - even the garbage outside needed to be dumped and the outside tables had trash around them. I went because my cousin wanted to go, but I didn't feel comfortable with the sanitation. I'll try it again sometime during a weekday to see if it's any better.

We found Lucy Boone online, and hopped over since the reviews and photos looked good. Well, don't believe everything that you see online! The ice cream here really isn't very good, and our main complaint about it is that it's just not creamy. It has more of the consistency of a watery/diluted supermarket brand, and the flavors themselves aren't impressive either. Not trying to be mean--just being honest! Two of us shared their sampler, and we do have to say that we appreciated that as an option! The king cake was pure cinnamon, but the peanut butter nuddy buddy was really good--we'd say that was the best one of them all. The salted butter caramel was ho hum and the fourth flavor was so ho hum that we can't even remember what it was. Maybe nutella brownie?? Our daughter had the caramel in a cone and she said it was very small :( Oh, almost forgot to mention that on a holiday weekend, they had ONE person working, who was very sweet and clearly trying to do all the things. Needless to say, the place was pretty dirty and the (fake) marble tables weren't clean. The space is also kind of small and it doesn't seem like they've made the best use of it. While this place may look and advertise itself like an upscale hipster ice cream, it just does not deliver. We personally wouldn't recommend Lucy Boone, but it's not like you'll have a "bad" experience. It's just not worth it.
