Typically...we always have a good experience here , but today was very disappointing. We both ordered the watermelon hydration smoothie ( 32 oz ) and were both very disappointed. Could vaguely taste strawberry, but not watermelon. Not sure if too much electrolytes were added , but tasted salty. Very salty. Perhaps it was an inexperienced server, who botched the formula. The worst customer service at this location... It was drive-through only and you could not go inside. The wait was very long. apparently scanner is broke so they can't scan for any rewards. The smoothies are good but make sure you have time to wait at least 20 min or more even if there's no line. I'm not sure how much it takes to just put some things in a blender but apparently it's not quick. Came here before my shift at the hospital with enough time and they still managed to make me late. I've been coming here for around 3 months and the drinks are always delicious and if you go on Friday only $5 for the 32oz size. I have done the drive thru and inside counter and I think the counter is twice as fast since you dont need to wait the extra time for cars in front of you. I timed them the last time and the inside counter was 5-1/2 min for two drinks from receiving the reciept to holding the drink, not too bad, and it was a busy friday. read more

I don't think this has been open long, maybe a couple months? Running errands, I decided to hit the drive-thru for a quick treat. There was nothing quick about this visit. It looked like they had a good variety of smoothies to suit anyone's needs, lots of lower-sugar, vegan, protein and vitamin boosters. It would be great for those who like to get smoothies post-workout. But the staff needs some training. It was not busy on Sunday afternoon when I pulled through. I had to repeat my order a couple of times. I also asked for my smoothie to be made "skinny," and I don't think the guy understood me and kept telling me to hold on. I'm pretty sure I got the non-skinny version. Whatever. Also, 20 oz. is a decently sized smoothie, and that is the smallest size they have. There was one car ahead of me in the drive-thru, and I have no idea what they ordered or if they even got it. I saw an employee talking to them but never handed any drinks to the people. It seemed like there was a problem. A very young kid apologized for the wait and took my payment ($6+ for a small fruit-based smoothie with no protein or any boosters). And a minute or so after he took my payment, I see him making my smoothie. What are the staff doing? I was probably in the drive-thru for more than 10 minutes. Only go if you want to be belittled. Insane! Cannot believe that as a loyal customer and someone that is so polite to the staff that I would get told off bc they didn't receive my order on THEIR APP! Then they wanted me to pay twice for the same smoothie. Told me what a POS I was in front of my 7 year old. And the only reason I was there was bc my kid had surgery and asked for it!!! I really wanted to give this place a chance. If there is a car in drive thru before you, expect to wait at least 15-20 minutes. Today there was no one in drive thru and I didn't even get a full 20oz smoothie(see photo). Cup was all bent too. Workers just don't seem like they want to be there or know what's going on (at least in drive thru)know I usually have to repeat my order multiple times. The service here sucks. Every single employee is rude & lifeless like they don't know what customer service is. They never say high, they're always mono toned, they never thank you or tell you to have a good day. They have this amazing app that lets you collect points to save money on the smoothies which are expensive but THEY NEVER AS IF YOU HAVE THE APP!!!!! Then when you ask them to scan your phone they deny you and tell you they have to do it before you pay. BUT THEY N E V E R A S K!!!!!! There are multiple reviews that agree on how subpar the service is here. I truly hope the owner or manager reads these reviews and makes some changes . I love their smoothies when they are right but their customer service is horrible! No smiles, no personality, it's sad. They act like it's a burden to work there. I don't like bananas in my smoothies and somehow it always ends up in my drink and it has to be remade. They remake it but the time it takes is ridiculous. My latest with them was that I sent one of my co-workers Debbie, to get drinks for the office and of course they added banana to mine. Even after it was made wrong the first time and they had to remake it. Unfortunately the second mistake wasn't caught until it was in my hands at the office. So back Debbie went after I called and spoke with the manager asking to have one remade and waiting for her when she arrived. It was like speaking to a drone. He was monotone and did not apologize, just said it would be ready. Our office is not close to their location and did they offer to make it right? No. I was hoping they would offer a free drink in the future so that I could give it to Debbie for her troubles and time. I ordered a veggie smoothie, and it has a strong drug syrup taste to it. It's super sweet. I asked if they added sugar, they said not at all. I asked for a remake without the banana, cause I suspect the banana makes it sweet. They are very nice to remake one for me. However, it's still way too sweet and it's surely not from nature fruit. Later I think it must be the pineapple juice (frozen) used in the ingredient which must contain a lot of added sugar. The employee should be educated to know what is in the ingredients. I usually always come to this location and the service is usually awesome but the person who took my order and gave me my smoothies were just straight up RUDE. Extremely unprofessional and made me feel very unwelcome. Jamie, Khalistan was her name. When she took my order she didn't seem happy at all or even smiled just attitude all around and when she gave me my smoothie I put my hand out for the straws and she threw them on the counter, again with attitude instead of handing them to me. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the wait time, I have no problem waiting for a GOOD smoothie. Went here my first time and was extremely impressed by the menu. I'm vegan and very strict about what goes into my body. They had me sold, loved the smoothie and decided to go back. Except this time I went inside. There is NOTHING all natural about this place. They use goo and syrup and jellies to fill their smoothies. No fresh fruit, no fresh juices, and they have the audacity to say they are all natural. I will never return. Who knows how long those bags of syrups and jelly sit before being used. Went in as 2 employees left at the same time to get Jimmys Pita and Poke, the three left inside didn't greet me or look up from what they were doing(talking) the two girls on staff were working while the boys kept joking around until they finally asked if I was ready to order - I had never been in so I was still looking at the menu. My order printed out and a good 2 full minutes went by as the boy who had my order stood there talking about his lunch and his associates lunches - he finally started my smoothie and walked away. They blender stopped and I was curious how long it would take for someone to notice. Nobody did. I had to get the attention of the woman who took my order. I used to Co manage a smoothie bar and know this is not a difficult job, one that should NOT take 5 individuals. However if these individuals are mostly children then it makes a little more sense. I went in at 2pm ish on Saturday the 8th if the owner would like to watch the video to see how amazing his employees are at having fun at work and eating in the back room food items from another establishment. read more

Smoothie King offers the best smoothies anywhere and no store does a better job at making them than the 3820 W. River Road location in Tucson. The staff is super friendly and they go out of their way to make your experience a memorable one. I like my smoothies really icy, which requires a lot of extra work. I've been waiting for a long time for this place to open and I was very excited. I usually don't write reviews until I've been there multiple times. The first time I went in, no one could figure out how to use the register and didn't know how to accept my card so I couldn't order anything. Even the manager couldn't figure it out. I gave them a month before I went back hoping more training was done. I went in everyday for a week and decided to check my receipt because the price seemed a little higher than advertised on the board. I figured out that they were charging me $1.49 for an add on when it clearly states $.99 on their board. I came back again the next day and the they started charging correctly. After that I decided to only come on $5 fridays. Every friday I would pay the same price $5 and a add-on for the same exact drink, except today. Today I was told my drink is $6 because its considered a meal replacement. I don't know if I was charged incorrectly today or all the fridays before because a manager was not on staff at the time. The smoothies aren't bad here, just a little overpriced. There is an obvious lack of training. If you decided to come here, I urge you to check your receipt because there is a good chance you are being overcharged. read more
