I ordered the pure matchalicous power smoothie. On the menu, it is listed as having banana, kale, agave, matcha, and coconut milk. In reality, there is no indication of matcha outside of the color. If I didn't know that there was supposed to be matcha in it, I would have attributed the color to something like kale alone. It wasn't bad, but it definitely is not what is advertised. Something I was also baffled about was the general poor service. The cashier didn't know what was in the smoothie when I made sure it was dairy free, and it was exponentially slow considering that I was the only person there. I can attribute both of those to training issues, but there's also the matter of the topic of conversation very loudly being held by the employees, which kind of ruined the vibes. read more

Can I post a ZERO STAR review? Excuse me but when you order a "latte" anywhere, that implies there would be coffee in it. Nope. Here you get a watered down coconut milk with an overly sweet, syrupy lavender that is so sweet it's sickening, and a mouthful of dried roses. Even when I asked about it, I was told no. And when I asked if they could toss mine in the trash they said I could walk down the dirty curb to the overflowing trash can that's probably been full for the entire week. I left it on their counter. This after paying almost $38 for two overly sweet bowls, and this "yuck water." No refund offered. And they kept the 20% tip. Don't come here. Let's also not forget the filthy outside tables, chairs, and concrete. Let me give a there a review as much as I possibly can. Because this place is definitely a really great spot to visit, with lots of drinks, foods and snack snacks to enjoy that are very nourishing and absolutely yummy. Firstly, this is a window service space. There is no inside seating and everything is handled through a window/door entrance. There is however, outdoor seating, that is quite limited with a small table right in front of it, a table just around the corner from it, and a bench with plenty of pillows available as well. However, this one can be in direct sunlight so maybe not the best option. It's located in a plaza so throughout the plaza there are different areas to find to go and sit and relax. The plaza is also where you will find the bathrooms that are used for the overall Plaza and all of the businesses in it. Some businesses have their own bathroom, but pure love does not. The space is in fact, accessible, there is a flat area on either end of the sidewalk away from the front entrance available for people to use who cannot access stairs. And plenty of upfront parking. Absolutely everything including the service as well worth a visit in my opinion. This is one of my favorite places to go to and I absolutely trust the ingredients and it's always great to see the friendly faces that are working on the counter. It's been a long while since my last review and over the years, PLJ has grown up a lot and improved. They're still in their small spot but somehow manage to pump out smoothie, juices, and food galore! I keep it simple with my smoothies. I'm a blueberry, almond butter, and protein smoothie type of girl. While I am not personally vegan, I love that they have plenty of vegan friendly menu items. In regards to food, I am a big fan of the avocado toast. The combo of the Greek yogurt, avocado, and cilantro spread is so good! Their spring rolls are also delicious and refreshing. I love that their online ordering show calorie totals for each item as well, which I find helpful. Looking forward to the PLJ cafe that will be opening soon with more food options! read more

Was in the mood for a healthy juice and found this up the street and said why not! Let's try it... so I took a look at their menu on Yelp and was intrigued. I thought I'd try to order online but it took me longer to do than to just arrive. It's hidden a bit but to the very right side of a business complex. It's kind of like a little corner store with a window you can walk up to. There is a sweet inviting outdoor patio with pillows and gets a nice spray of the sun, it's so cute. There is a menu on the right post and a walk up window for pre-order or to order your items. They have a variety of drinks, smoothies, coffees, and açaí bowls, they all looked so good. But I remained with my choice of healthy juice. The lovely gentleman at the counter helped me decipher between two and I went with the Pure Rainbow - it has apple, pineapple, orange, beet, carrot, lemon, cucumber, ginger / brain boost, and it says "glowing complexion, enzyme rich" on the menu. It was DELICIOUS. It was so crisp and fresh and healthy and wonderful and it made me feel great all day. Took about 10 min for them to call me up, and I was on my merry way. Talk about a little hidden gem. I had the açai bowl with gluten-free granola and it was absolutely delicious. Layer after layer of fresh fruit on top of that açai ice cream hit the spot. You order at the counter and they've got two or three little tables you can sit at plus is an additional one around back and down a couple of steps. Smoothie was fresh and delicious and I tried their pecan/hemp energy bite and my goodness was it great! I ordered the pure glory smoothie and you could tell it was mad with fresh fruit and ingredients. The staff was super nice and bilingual in Spanish and English! This is my second time visiting and I've been happy with both of my experiences. Both last time and this time I got the Pure Revive smoothie. I love my green smoothies, and I'm not big on extra sugar so I ordered it without the agave. I love that they will customize the smoothies in this way. This time around I also ordered the beet chips. While I was expecting them to be made in-house and therefore was thrown off a bit by being handed a product in a bag, I was pleasantly surprised that the creators of the chips are actually local to Tucson. The chips were just the right blend of salty, garlicky, and spicy. The smoothie was exactly what I needed and was blended perfectly. I am not a fan of chunks of unblended fruits and vegetables in a smoothie, so I was very happy with the smooth consistency. I only wish they used organic produce. I didn't take any stars off for that though, because it's clear that they don't so it's not as if it were unexpected. At some point I'd love to try other things on their menu. I arrived a little before 8 o'clock on a Monday morning. The place was quiet, I didn't see another soul around. I was a bit confused if there was an inside place, so I ordered from the outside kiosk. The cashier was friendly, hopefully what I ordered was vegan. The menu was not clear. I went with the banana, strawberry, peanut butter toast without honey. I didn't think I'd like coconut flakes on it, but I was pleasantly surprised. The bread was hardy, it was filling which is what I needed. I also got one of their juices which was $10, a bit pricey And it was OK. There was a weird aftertaste I couldn't figure out, like biting into the skin of a lime. Overall, a bit pricey for breakfast and a bit slow but I was thankful they were open early in the morning which so many Tucson places are not. Especially healthy options! I had a gift card and free wellness shot coupon which I used today for lunch. This was my first time here. It's outside window service only with one table to sit at. It was HOT waiting for my food but luckily didn't take more than 15 minutes. The wellness shot was ginger and pineapple, it was ok, not really my thing. I got the spring rolls and a coconut cacao energy bite. I wasn't blown away by the spring rolls, I wished they had cilantro inside instead of mint. The spring roll wrappers were torn on 3/4 of them. Admittedly, I haven't been to many smoothie bars but I really enjoyed my order here. I got the Pure Divine smoothie with a scoop of chocolate whey and it was really good! I usually make my own smoothies at home for breakfast but since I was out I thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did because the difference in taste is noticeable! My only grievance is that I ended up waiting 20 minutes for my order, which I'm not sure if that's the standard amount of time for other smoothie bars, but seemed a bit too long to me given that nobody else was waiting for their orders when I placed mine. Another small nitpick is that I wish there was some more seating available. Only 3 small outdoor tables were out and taken when I arrived so I was just standing around for 20 minutes waiting for my order and since I had just finished my first ever Muay Thai class prior to coming here, I was already feeling shaky and would have appreciated some more seating.
