We enjoyed are stay at Smuggler Notch. The check in process went well. You get your keys than go over to the Wyndham team for map and letting you know about the place. We did not get pressured into a 2 hour presentation though it was mentioned. No Monday morning call inviting you to a presentation. We were in the off season point so not much open. Country store on site worked. Pricey as one would expect. Pizza place on site would not use. I would go to the one just down 108. Did not eat at Hearth and Candle. Had a dinner at Morse Mountain Grille. For what we ordered expensive. It was about $60 for burgers, fries and one beer plus the tip. Food was good but not worth that price. Option go off site and probably spend a bit less but give up time for travel. Two close options brewery and pizza resteraunt about 5 mins drive. We were in the Willows unit 2. No elevators so if you have a good amount of luggage and other things. Plan for it from car to room and room to car. It was a two bedroom. Gas Fireplace. It was clean. Everything worked. No central air but wall units. We never needed to utilize so cannot speak to how they worked if it was hot. Window treatment worked well. Window crank system worked. All windows in living area open easily. Nice breeze. King size bed that was comfortable. The shower system worked well. The living area was great. The windows provided a panoramic view of the trees and some of the mountain side. The road system from the time you enter is all dirt. So at certain wet times it will be muddy. We did not have rain while we were there. You need to drive to many things. If you enjoy walking a number of excellent trails. The unit we had was at ground level. There is a small deck and we had a picnic table off the deck. Small charcoal grille. The interior is dated but it was ok. The fall colors had not yet started but I can only imagine what it would be like. With all this said we would return but time it for later in September to experience color change.

Stayed 9/20-9/27/23, beginnings of the fall color change. Stayed in a Tamaracks 3 bedroom deluxe. Very spacious and comfortable for the whole family. We plan to make reservations here every 2 years for family get together. On-site dining at the Hearth and Candle was very nice and convenient. Dined here twice. On site store has everything we drove into Jeffersonville for. Might be just a tad more expensive but worth it for convenience. Check in as Wyndham VIP owners was a breeze. We skipped the sales talk as we already been down that route several times....(haha). Property is beautiful and the grounds and our unit were well maintained and clean. No ice maker but there were two trays to make ice and an ice bucket to put the ice in. No kitchen sink strainer and no disposal but they can deal with that with a plumber. Large jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. Nice stand up shower with a seat for the wife to shave her legs. Seating was standard and fairly comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and restful. Deck/porch was spacious and had a beautiful view of the mountains. On-site plex had everything teenagers could want and the upstairs was designed for 2 year old to about 6 year olds. Out 20 month grand daughter enjoyed it immensely. 2 nice 18 hole disk golf courses and lots of walking trails onsite. BBQ grills (charcoal) located behind the unit, along with a picnic table. We saw a shuttle bus but didn't use it. We looked at the heated pool area and it was nice and in use. One small hot tub next to it. Nice kids pools also. Will be back in 2 years.

Great place to stay In northern Vermont. There is a ton of stuff to do with kids especially in the summer. Rain? They have an indoor play place. Sun? They have like 8 outdoor pools. The dining can be a little limited but the on-site and nearby restaurants are pretty good!

I've been coming to Smuggs with my family for the past three years and have little if any complaints. Sure, the TVs and amenities are a little dated and the mountain doesn't offer as many trails as Stowe. But for everything you get - spacious rooms with full kitchens and multiple bedrooms / bathrooms, speedy shuttle service to anywhere you want to go within the resort, daily and nightly activities, a pool, Fun Zone and plenty of dining options, you really can't beat it. The on-site restaurant Hearth and Candle is some of the best food I've had anywhere (this coming from a snobby New Yorker), and everyone working here are extremely friendly and always in a good mood. If you're looking to take a family ski trip this is definitely the place!

Smugglers Notch is the smaller independent mountain next to Stowe. First do not let your GPS take you via Route 108. It's closed during the winter and you have to go around Stowe. This is truly a family resort. So much for kids & teens to do. The two main peaks are Madonna & Sterling. Both have some really nice runs for intermediate skiers. Plenty of challenging runs for experts. Madonna tends to be icier than Sterling. It was fun for a few days of skiing. They do have shuttles that run from village base to Madonna base. Most parking is at Madonna base. Not much food wise tends to be open on Sundays.

Great resort with phenomenal activities. Plenty of water options with pools and water slides. Good on premise food options . Enjoy traveling in resort on golf carts!

SMUGGS! My home away from home. We've been going here since before I could walk (and definitely before I could ski) for a beginner or a expert nothing beats Vermont snow and nothings beats Smuggs. There are three mountains and you take a shuttle to two of them if you're staying off property. Staying on property in some areas you can ski right from your room. Which is so freaking cool! The prices are high, but it's a resort, and it's way worth it to spend the money in Vermont with fresh powder, amazing hot chocolate and phenomenal instructors. This place will always be my home away from home and the reason I continue to ski to this day! Look into a time share and staying on the property, it's really worth it if you're into winter sports

Smuggs is one of the best skiing terrains for families and intermediate skiers. The conditions are always epic and the glades are a blast. Entertainment options mountainside are the best around. Affordability and accommodations make this one of our favorite places to ski every year!

So we went to smugglers notch for the 4th and that was great. The facilities have major issues. The restaurants are either closed or in some cases selling outdated food products or have no stock. The half of the pools are closed or not opened. The weather is great but the amenities are non existent. The condo we are staying in has a major any issue. They are everywhere. Oh and there appears to be a major bear issue, as areas are closed off and signs everywhere to be careful. Not exactly comforting with young kids around. I would not recommend going, the first time we went it was great this time not so much.

After filling all our info in the tablet including: age, hight and weight we proceeded to buy the tickets. the person at the cash did ask his age but failed to mention that the younger could not race with us, We did not ask either as last year we went to another E karting in Brossard and we all raced together. We were all sitting in the car ready to race as they pulled out my youngest saying he could not go. My husband and myself got out. They would not reimburse us our money ( we were willing to pay for the 3 persons that was in the car racing). we've been there all but 15 min, time to walk back and listen to the rules. We had to race separately as they could not fit us in the same race level, they pulled my youngest a second time after he was sitting in the car for the same reason, they have put him, again, in a race that was not his age group/category. Twice within a hour (and most of that hour was spend arguing for a reimbursement . It was the worst time, money spend and experience I ever had.... So do I recommend?? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Go find another place and save yourself the hassle of that incompetent place. Even 1star is more that it deserves. That experience happened in June I'm writing this review today in October as I wanted to see if I would feel differently after time had passed. NOPE feel the same.

As recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records, Funspot is the LARGEST arcade in the world. Originally opened as the Weirs Sports Center, then 21-year-old Lawton opened it as an indoor miniature golf course and penny arcade with $750 borrowed from his grandmother. It was originally located in the top floor of Tarlson's Arcade building across from the Weirs Beach boardwalk. In 1964, Lawton purchased 21 acres of land nearby and relocated his business there. At this time, it was renamed "Funspot". By the 1980s, arcade cabinets and pinball machines had become the most popular attractions at Funspot. The business soon switched from quarters to tokens. Lawton continued to expand the business and even opened six satellite locations, but they all closed down by the late 1990s. Funspot was heavily featured in the 2007 film "The King of Kong": a universally-acclaimed documentary about competitive arcade gaming. Today Funspot has over 600 video games (both retro and modern), pinball machines, ticket redemption machines, an indoor miniature golf course, 20-lane ten-pin and candlepin bowling, cash bingo, a restaurant, a tavern, an ice cream stand, kiddie rides and several other attractions on its grounds. It is also home to the American Classic Arcade Museum. My extended family and I visited Funspot this past summer while we were spending the week in Maine. On one day in particular, it was a little too rainy to go to the beach. Funspot was just an hour drive from where we were staying, so we made the trip and arrived in time for the opening. I have wanted to visit Funspot ever since I saw the film "The King of Kong"; it had been on my bucket list for a while. This place is HUGE; they have so many classic arcade cabinets and pinball machines from the golden age of arcade games (roughly late 1970s to early 1980s). "Donkey Kong", "Pac-Man", "Galaga", "Frogger", you name it and they had it. My wife and I had so much fun taking turns on all of the various arcade cabinets and pinball machines. I especially enjoyed playing "JAWS" pinball in a shark cage of all places. Our two sons especially enjoyed all of the various driving games as well as all of the vintage kiddie rides. My family also enjoyed a few rounds of skee-ball and air hockey. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun; I never wanted to leave. If you are a fan of classic arcades then you simply must make the pilgrimage to Funspot!

This place is known as the biggest arcade in the country and as a retro game collector and someone who loves pissing loads of money away to win tickets to buy literal garbage, this place was right up my freaking ally. When I first walked in I was surrounded by a bowling ally, pinball machines, and a ton of ticket games that I wanted to start working on right away, however, I used some restraint. Next! I checked downstairs and stumbled across the prize center and a bunch of other random ticket games, but the real gold was found on the upper level. When you go upstairs you are greeted by hundreds of retro arcade machines from the 70s on and I was in my own form of heaven. I checked out a bunch of the obscure machines and sucked at most of them, before coming across the likes of X-Men, Mortal Kombat 2, Centipede, and hundreds more. I wanted to stick to retro games but after seeing my nephew on the ticket hunt, I joined in and won myself about 1300 tickets before tapping out and just giving them to him. What I didn't know is that he thought it would be funny to spend 4500 tickets to give me a Bluey bag that Funspot definitely ordered off Temu or something because it's quite possibly the worst quality item i've ever seen at an arcade, kudos to my nephew though for being awesome. Overall, Funspot is a, well, a fun spot to go for a bit. We spent maybe an hour and a half messing around and playing games and I definitely enjoyed myself. The insane amount of machines was great, the vibes were retro arcade, and the fun was endless. My main complaint with this place is the absolute trash prizes they have. Come on guys, give people a reason to actually spend money.
