Way too overpriced for the amount of food that you get. and they're very Shystie about their barbecue sauce and the wings that they put out have no effort. They burn their wings less cook time on the barbecue wings and hot wings not all barbecue is burnt. I wanted to do an updated review for Smulligan's Pizza & BBQ. The last one I made was a couple of years back and we've been back several times since then and since they transitioned from newly opened to having been opened now since 2020. Their pizza is great. Their menu has expanded to include super good burgers and some other things like dessert and sandwiches. They have a great lunch buffet definitely worth stopping in for. They make accommodations to please (great service) and the venue is a fun BBQ theme. They've definitely worked out any newbie things. We love dropping by for a hot out of the oven pizza and breadsticks or lunch buffet. If you haven't tried it, be sure to stop by and see for yourself. If you aren't sure, try the lunch buffet first. Excellent BBQ. Didn't try the Pizza. I've had BBQ all over the South and Southwest and this place stacks up well. Tender brisket. Not as fatty as I prefer but I probably like it too fatty. Good sides. The dining room is pretty big and has a Texas vibe. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was so stuffed and left with enough food for dinner the next day. Had a group of 28 dine in for bday party. Had gone in a day prior to order & pay for pizzas. The gal was friendly & place is clean. However the day of our party, it was extremely busy probably because Chicos pizza is closed on Tuesday for winter. The girls working seemed a little bit overwhelmed. Our pizza's came out in to go boxes. Not sure why since we were dining in. the pizza taste fine. nothing to write home about. The toppings are minimal and the downside to having a large group is that there are no pitchers of soda or water. So you have to buy those individually and costs can get quite expensive.. i tried to order dessert pizzas and was first told that they were out of the cheesecake crumble, which I said was fine but she went into the kitchen to double check and came back and told me that they were sold out of dessert pizzas which seemed kind of odd cause I was under the the impression that they are not pre-made. Gave this place a try for the first time tonight. I'm pretty picky...I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad. Most people don't know that I'm a potato salad connoisseur... so I put on my snooty pants to judge it accordingly... and it was really good!! I did pick out the black olives. I had to give a two star because there was red peppers on my pizza but it wasn't supposed to have them on it. I ordered half Hawaiian and half Luau Chicken. There was hardly an BBQ sauce on the Luau chicken half, photos attached. I did like the crust! And I am very picky about my BBQ sauce. I don't like vinegar based sauces. But this was a great sauce just not enough on the pizza. My chicken was very dry. The grilled pineapple was amazing. There was no green onions. The over all flavor was OK. I went in expecting to have a rack of pork baby back ribs and some corn bread. The sign indicated "Out of Corn Bread, Out of Ribs." It was Tuesday night at 6:30PM. Poor planning? Well, I decided to have the brisket and talked by friend into the same. For sides, we ordered potato salad, cole slaw, and cowboy beans. Potato salad tasted of dill and not much else. The cole slaw was sweet with raisins and no sour (acid) note anywhere as is traditional. There was no seasoning (salt) in potato salad, cole slaw, brisket, etc. Does anyone taste the food before sending it out? Brisket arrived, warm at best. The bbq sauce was clearly store bought. I would have to venture a guess at Sweet Baby Ray's because that's the sauce I use at home when I don't have time to make my own. When the owner was confronted about these issues, he said "None of my other customers complain." There were 2 people in the restaurant including the two of us!. I was thinking, "What other customers?" Again..Tuesday night? Food was dull, uninteresting. Ordered a pizza to go. That turned out to be ok. Pepperoni was curled up and burnt on the edges, but the dough and store-bought marinara sauce were ok. When the cashier and owner were informed of their lack of seasoning, they both became defensive and almost hostile. If it were me, I would've welcomed the input and thought about what I could be doing better. They both stated "If you needed more salt there's some over next to the soda machine." IMHO, if the food needs more salt, you should know that before sending it out to your customer. Well what about acid? A drop or two of vinegar, lemon, or some other acid can turn a plain dish into something amazing. If you claim that your food was salted enough, then consider adding acid. Because to me, it was absent of flavor. Like Sara L. said. Pick your passion. Your BBQ is meh. Your pizza could work but we already have 5 or 6 pizza places in town. Focus on your BBQ and you'll survive. If not, I give you less than 2 years before you have to close...Sad. Besides the food, the restaurant and restrooms were clean. I had a view of the pizza ovens and they looked clean as well. Maybe because there were no customers but anyway, well done. A lot of people say they do BBQ well but unfortunately they just do not. But Smulligan's absolutely DOES do BBQ very well! Great taste, sweet, spicy, whatever you want it can happen! I ordered the brisket sandwich and after that I ordered a couple pounds to have at home! A few days later I found myself back at Smulligan's and had the pizza........is it possible they do both BBQ and pizza well? YES! Now if they added Pastrami on the menu my life would be complete! I ordered the salad bar and my husband and I shared pulled pork nachos and he ordered the sliders plate with mashed potatoes. The salad bar was basic but good. The nachos were actually homemade potato wedges instead of chips which surprised us and ended up being really good, but it would be nice to indicate that on the menu. The sliders were Turkey, Brisket, and Pork. They came with two kinds of BBQ sauce which were both good. My husband enjoyed his dinner as well. All in all it was good. The price was a bit spendy and the drinks are all bottled sodas and water. They do have a drive thru for those who don't want to come in. read more

Food mostly not bad but when I pay restaurant price for a meal I expect restaurant service. And at least in fast food service you can get a cup of water. Here you have to buy a bottle of water. Food is served on cardboard and styrofoam. The pasta salad was rather tasteless. The cowboy beans were the highlight. The Brisket was tasty but I wouldn't consider it barbecued. Someone said it was the best bbq in Moses lake, little did I know it's also the worst because it's the only bbq place. The portions we received were small and served cold. They use sweet baby rays as their bbq sauce and all of the sandwiches are served dry.
