I got the reminder of the…read morehorrible experience I had by getting a call from a lovely associate from Dr.Coakleys office asking if I was in the area for an appointment to stop in ...to start this has nothing to do with the amazing staff and only the doctor/ practice itself. Mind you the disbelief I had after two years, my last visit for my Invisalign treatment was June 2021 and I was nearing the end of my treatment , I was sitting in the chair getting more spaces filed in between my teeth, and just had 2 sets left of Invisalign (wearing each set for about 2-3 weeks). The doctor had the assistant stop making the spaces between my teeth after I told him I would be relocating. I tried to tell the doctor I would be in NJ long enough to finish those sets and get my retainer molded ... when the doctor realized I was moving he said, " ok just get her molds done for her retainer and she will not 'need' the last two sets of Invisalign, I stopped and said no I would like to complete my treatement and the reason for the visit was to organize my appointments, clearly that did not happen.... I still have those spaces in between my teeth and it is causing gum irritation and I am now getting more treatments for that.... But that is beside the point. Let's back up, less than half way through my treatment I had two top teeth that broke and were replaced by permanent porcelain implants due to severe face trauma , therefore I needed to pause my treatment and get updated moldings for new Invisalign for just my top/upper set .... 5 weeks later when I was able to start my Invisalign again since my updated set game in to match my new top teeth , I was excited to proceed yet the Invisalign did not fit at all, I kindly ask the doctor to check to see that he gave me the "new" upper set and not the OLD ones and he refused to simply take a second look and told me I needed to buy AcceleDent (not covered by insurance $600 out of pocket) , he said after two weeks if they feel wierd come back, I went back after a week and knew when I called he was not there in office therefore I stoped by and had one of the lovely assistance take a look and not to my surprise , the doctor gave me my OLD set , now I never got an apology and I asked what to do with the AcceleDent and I was told to use it since I bought it , but to that point there was no remorse or ownership taken on behalf of the doctors practice and actions. Thank you for calling to remind me of the horrible experience and making me so much more thankful for the orthodontist/professional that I am working with now to evaluate exactly what was wrong about my previous treatment and how to get everything aligned/corrected !

Primarily, he did my crowns that I am ultimately going to do over, just a year later, which I am dreading going through this process yet again. My six front teeth are actually crooked (angled), which changed the shape of my face slightly, are too yellow, and affected my bite where one side of my back teeth no longer connect, which he denied many times. He even suggested that I perhaps am not remembering my bite correctly. The teeth are too large/long, especially where they now connect in the middle, which is what ultimately affected my bite, which has since been validated. Additionally, the last time I was there for my cleaning, he held a staff meeting - in the waiting room - that ran over into my appointment by close to 20 minutes, and he unapologetically sent myself and one other patient out in the cold (it was January). The front desk apologized for the inconvenience, however Dr. Schor did not and stated "you need to wait, we are in a meeting."

I searched for "Best Dentist" near me and found Bella Dental. Dr. Michael Alkon & Dr. Alex Shor immediately met with me and thankfully, the pain was soon gone. Dr. Alkon took an X-ray, explained what was necessary and performed the word that we as patients all fear. Root Canal! All I can say is that the procedure was painless, pleasant, and I really appreciate their bedside manner, confidence, and most of all, that I had selected the right practice for my dental emergency. I did my research and Dr. Champagne's credentials were top notch ( despite the fact it was a 45 min drive). Years later, and a considerable amount of work done, it is the best choice I made. Dr. Champagne and his team are extremely professional, personable and very customer focused. Their office team is very organized and work with my insurance seamlessly - makes it easy for me as it gets complicated. Most importantly, both he and Inga (his collegaue) ,have a very delicate working style which is rare from my experience- I learned the hard way. At the end of the day, their work speaks for themselves. Very pleased with their team! In sum, It's worth the drive and I wouldn't think about going anywhere else.

I was finally happy to find a place to address it. Since I couldn't fly back to Cancun to address just this yet..I went to GLENWOOD DENTAL ARTS in MIDDLETOWN NJ and all this 'used car salesman" wanted to do was take EIGHT X-rays to build his 'maintenance program ' for me! He then says he's not going to touch the temp in fear he can't put new one on!!!! Huh??!!! What?!!! Are you not a dental expert of 30 years ( he was proudly boasting to patients??). Back to that review another day. So this scam dentist at Pinehurst IN MIDDLETOWN NJ sheepishly walks out of room after he realizes temp is screwed in ( mind you I told them this all week). He has front desk woman strut in and ask for my Care Credit card saying it will be now $500 to replace!!!! I have the new prostheistic I got from Cancun so it was a procedure 1/2 the time and labor of a simple tooth extraction!!! ( they cost roughly $180-200). And speaking of extractions it would have been LESS painful today than this unprofessional digging into my fresh stitches to remove them and trying to unscrew 3 simple screws all while the old cracked temp is digging into my bleeding gums! I then ask for a antiseptic rinse to be applied before putting new apparatus in.., NOPE! Just bc he and assistant were now annoyed apparently for me moving their hand away from digging into my new implants!!..People, the only way these out of control dental studio s are gonna learn to take instructions and be humbled when they are told something by the PAYING PATIENT is by these reviews, submitting cost charges ( over the top ones) AND by going overseas to get your work done at 1/4 of the AND BETTER 'bedside services " The ONLY ones telling you of bad experiences are by the fearful dentists here afraid they will be called out by their $4200 a tooth implants or people who went to some hole in the ground in Tijuana 10 years ago and got bad treatment.
