    Very impressed

This gets 5 starts. I enjoy finding local ice cream spots that set the bar high and this place did that. All of the ice cream was so creamy and was so good. They have many flavors including seasonal, vegan, and sugar free so many options for many people. They also have soft serve, water ice, sundaes, and multiple cones to choose from. Prices are reasonable. I want to try more flavors.

My daughter shared her teachers advice to try this ice-cream shop because they had this really really really good Cookie Monster cream. I stopped and the external appearance was kind of cute. There were seats with umbrella tables. It was empty inside only 2 girls on duty. As my daughter and I walked in they said hi and offered their assistance. As we were making our minds up the one young lady touted the good old Annoying anything else? Not even 2 mins later I heard it again, Anything else? I looked around to see what the hurry was all about. None the less we moved forward with the mint chocolate chip and vanilla peanut butter something. My husband ordered a butter pecan. I was able to taste it all. This ice-cream is supposed to be home made. Home made doesn't always equal special. At least not in this case. The ice-cream was okay. It is missing that rich, creamy, sweet, and yumfulness that I've experienced from other ice cream parlors. I was disappointed because of the missing richness in flavor in addition to my daughter's teacher's seal of approval. Although this ice cream parlor did not give me the 4th of July experience that I enjoy when eating home made ice cream It was okay.

What's wrong with homemade ice cream on a brownie, smothered in fudge and whipped cream.....NOTH'IN!! Super nice young lady behind the counter and a great selection of homemade ice cream, sherbets and even sugar free ice cream and chocolates. It's enough to throw you into a sugar induced coma!

I was having a serious sweet tooth and it was super hot outside, so ice cream was perfect. I have to recommend the cookie monster on sugar cone. It has oreos with cookie dough and is nut free. The girl working there showed me the difference between one and two scoops. I went with the one scoop because that was enough ice cream. If I'm in the area, I will come back!

    Cotton Candy is yummy!!

While it's primarily a walk up spot with very little interior area, there are seats outside where you can enjoy your purchase. Service (5/5) is incredibly friendly, and they're more than happy to chat with you and sample any ice cream flavors you want to try out. They serve Bassett's ice cream, which runs out of Philadelphia and boast themselves as America's oldest ice cream brand. While I hadn't tried out their ice cream before, I took a look at several cartons of their ice cream and was quite surprised at how many ingredients they had, including fillers and preservatives. The ingredient list was less of a mom & pop local ice cream, and more along the lines of a mass market processed ice cream brand. I tried their cookies and cream ice cream (3.5/5), which was decent, but wasn't as rich in texture as I usually like my ice cream to be. Perhaps I just chose the wrong flavor, but wasn't overly impressed with my first experience with Bassett's ice cream. While I loved the shop itself and the employees, I wasn't sold on Bassett's ice cream personally, but would recommend them to others seeking an ice cream treat while visiting Rancocas Woods.

The bent spoon always commands that kind of line and is always worth the wait. In addition to their rotating flavors, they also have pints for sale, some baked goods, and even some hot chocolate (in the colder months)! The ice cream itself is perfectly rich and creamy, with a great consistency. The flavors are always unique, but not unwelcome. I always make a point of trying to stop in whenever I'm in the area. The shop itself is very small with extremely limited seats (if any) so plan to walk around town while you enjoy your ice cream.
