Really nice place to stop by for some really good ice cream! I used to go here all the time as a kid and decided to go for the first time in years and it was great. The young lady that helped me and my girlfriend was very kind, the price was good ($9 for 2 cones), and the ice cream was great.

I've passed by this ice cream shop so many times over the past few months and wanted to stop in but the timing was never right. It's in the adorably quaint town of Allentown. The Main Street area is so beautiful, especially by the water/bridge I always want to pull over and walk around. Finally we made a special trip to Heavenly Havens! There's reserved parking directly behind the building so you don't have to worry about trying to find a spot on Main Street. I always appreciate that. The building is an sweet old house that has a small front porch with a couple small tables. Inside the interior is very clean and modern (see my photo). They had a good amount of small tables and definitely kept up on keeping them clean. There was a steady line of customers but the 2 young workers seems to keep up just fine. I had no idea what I wanted to order because they seriously have SO many flavors and they all sounded so good! I settled on the "Turnpike" which was a vanilla base with Oreos, peanut butter cups, and fudge. It was SO delicious. My husband got something called a "Scooby Snack" that had chocolate and cookies in it, also really yummy. In addition to hard ice cream they had soft serve, a few non-dairy ices, and even a few vegan varies of hard ice cream. Definitely something for everyone. You could also take pints to go from their freezer case and they had ready made ice cream cakes that looked and smelled amazing! The staff was very professional and friendly and we all left with happy bellies. We'll be back for more!

Today was my first time visiting this ice cream spot and I'm really happy I was able to support a small local business. This spot fits in perfectly on Allentown's old timey, charismatic Main Street. Right now they are not letting anyone inside, taking to go orders out of the back of the store only, due to the current global pandemic. I noted their efforts to practice good social distancing when standing in line and ordering (although I was the only customer when I went, which also put me at ease). They have plenty of classic flavors as well as several delicious specialty flavors. I got the Scooby Snacks flavor which was chocolate ice cream with brownies, Reese's pieces, cake crunch and peanut butter. Pretty much heaven for me! The ice cream was so creamy and the toppings mixed in were not scarce whatsoever. Highly recommend checking out their specialties. There's also vegan options (classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla) which is nice for those who are dairy free. Prices were extremely reasonable. I highly recommend enjoying your ice cream while looking out at the lake which is in very close walking distance. Great on a beautiful day. Very happy I discovered a new local ice cream shop and I can't wait to return!

    2 scoop Sunday
    Veronica A.

Had dinner at La Piazza and stopped here afterwards for some dessert. I had the best Sunday - 2 scoops: Vanilla peanut butter with Chocolate cherry crunch on top, toppings: peanuts, peanut drizzle and peanut butter chips with whip cream and a cherry. The Sunday itself was layered just right and I can't wait to go back for seconds. So yummy!!!!!

The one on 33 used to be fantastic. Not sure what happened at this one but the ice cream is pretty flavorless, very disappointing.

They've an impressive range of flavors, and I try to always try a flavor that I've not had in a long time, however I need to have my chocolate cherry more often than not. It's also very common to see people walking along the counter to pick their flavors. If you haven't made a decision, and the people behind you in line know what they want, do the right thing and let them go first. They give healthy scoops, and one scoop, although it doesn't sound like much, might be enough for someone with less post-dinner space available in their belly. If it's your first time visiting, watch the scoops being given to the person in front of you before making your decision. As an added bonus, during Spring and Summer Saturday nights, they have live music in the room as well. It's a cheap, fun date.

They keep leaving the boxes of ice cream on top of the counters to restock and then serve long lines of customers. This makes the ice cream very melty and causes freezer burn. Halo Pub does not allow tastes anymore so when they are out of your family's favorite flavors, it is a blind guess as to what to order. The hot fudge is delicious, but hard to enjoy when they give so little and the ice cream starts out melty. I hope the management will start listening to customer feedback and fix the stocking issues. The staff says that they request more stock of popular flavors, but don't get them. Lastly, the bathroom is nasty.

In fact, my main reason for coming was that I was curious about those. But after a meal in Btown the pale, medium sized specimens that had likely sat in their warming case for hours did not beckon me. So I checked out the 8 or so "artisan" options and decided on chocolate. All of the flavors appeared to be closer to gelato, but maybe because they were displayed in metal tubs as gelato places often do. It was dark looking and appeared to be dense, but the flavor was not dark. It was dense but not creamy. The best thing I can say about it is that it was not overly sweetened. My friend had the coconut flavor, and she was not wowed either. It's a cute shop that has housed other ice cream businesses in the past. I liked those more. But there are interesting items for sale such as candy, teas and gifts. The website states that they are affiliated with the Candy Jar in Collingswood, of which I have had occasion to visit in a previous life. Customer service was 4 stars, maybe I'll get back to try the empanadas......

The business owner then told my fiance that the wedding coordinator told her to have my fiance call the town for a permit, which this is a blatant lie because my wedding coordinator called me with concerns as a vendor typically will deal with parking. The coffee is really good, the breakfast I had was fantastic, a western omelette with the most amazing home fries I have ever had, and I do not say that like lightly at all, these were wedges that were well seasoned, and then cut in such a way that they had Spaces that flavoring and texture would creep into making each bite slightly crispy and dense, but flavorful and overall pretty light in the mouth, considering that their potato wedges I could not get enough of these and I'm a diabetic.
