It's not a large store but they have quite a variety and it was enjoyable to walk up and down the aisles and just look at what they have, uniquely different from what you find in American grocery stores. They had some interesting looking honey but I wasn't out of honey yet so I decided to to hold on that. They had some Cadbury drinking chocolate with much more pure ingredients than anything you'd find in a regular grocery store. In fact, the ingredients are simply sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and flavoring. It even meets the Fair Trade standards. I'm anxious to try it. American-made hot chocolate mixes have so many chemicals in them. I remember once my daughter brought back some hot chocolate packets from her trip to France and gave them to me and it was just about the best powdered hot chocolate I'd ever tasted. When I looked at the ingredients they were basically cocoa powder and sugar, maybe a pinch of salt too, I'm not sure. As I was checking out I decided to try their baklava looking dessert. I also saw a yogurt drink in their refrigerator that I've in San Diego but never thought I would find in Amarillo so I grabbed one of those also. The baklava was absolutely wonderful. The only problem was the guy put the two pieces in a small paper bag and since they were made with sugar syrup and butter or possibly olive oil then they soaked through the bag in no time, leaked into the plastic bag with my other groceries and made quite a mess that I had to wipe up before I could put them away. They need to either get some styrofoam containers, even though I'm anti styrofoam, or use Ziploc bags that can contain the liquids. I would definitely get them again because they were so delicious. A lady was working when I first got there and she told me how good their brand of instant coffee was. I was interested but by the time I checked out she had left and a man was there and I wasn't sure if he would be able to advise me which of the three varieties available was the one she thought was so good. I had just bought some instant coffee that a friend recommended so I don't need any right away but it isn't very often someone will tell you how good a certain brand of instant coffee is so I was willing to try it even though it was $6.99 for a jar. It was a pretty good-sized Jar though. If you figured half of that was $3.50 that would fit in with what the grocery stores sell small jars of coffee for. I plan to go back for more of those baklava, although I don't know if that's what they call them, and maybe some of that instant coffee.

I was given a paper to take to customer service where you give them your information, and all they care about is "putting points on your card." Forget about getting discounts or savings, they think if you know you are getting screwed out of saving money the first time, you will come back and give them a second chance. Nope. Basically, if you are on social security, do not shop here. They only want rich people who don't care how much they spend.

I care more about my bad back and not having to carry bags by hand through the parking lot to the bus stop. Got asked by 3 employees to take my groceries to car in one trip. I appreciate the offer, but not every person in Amarillo owns a car, so stop bothering people! If they need assistance, they will request it. I lived in a city that had an amazing HEB where you put your own groceries on the belt, bag them yourself and take them to your car yourself. Prices are much lower at HEB because of this. Not all people in Amarillo grew up here and there are plenty of visitors. This is why this grocery store's prices are so high! All the employees doing unnecessary work that able bodied adults can do themselves. Save it for the disabled, elderly or anyone who requests assistance. It's not customer service, it's annoying and bothersome. Just have employees be on the lookout for carts in the parking lot. This location bothers me more than any other. You need coupons here to pay the regular price at Walmart or other grocery stores in other cities. High prices!

The positive thing I have to say is that the employees were very cordial and nice, and looked very busy, not standing around or goofing off. I did see one of the cooks in the back drinking something While she was preparing food, which I know is a health violation. I have been eating in the beef eater sandwich for years, it's my all-time favorite and I always order it when I go to Jason's deli. Today the roast beef tasted strange and it had a bitter type taste to it. I did not enjoy it at all. The salad bar was good fresh and clean. Well stocked. To my dismay, when I decided to get up and go get an ice cream (which was very disappointing that they did not have vanilla ice cream, but sometimes that happens), when I came back to my table less than 30 seconds later, they had taken my food and cleaned my table. Although I appreciate their promptness and trying to clean the tables and it's much better than food stacking up on the tables, I was not finished with my food and they took it away. I spent over $20 on a sandwich and a salad which is already expensive, and I did not even get to finish my food. Very disappointed. I don't think I will be back to this location. I went back-and-forth within myself, whether or not I should tell the manager, but I did not want to be one of those types of customers, so I didn't say anything. I left not feeling satisfied, the roast beef was weird tasting, and they took my food before I was finished. Very disappointed. One last thing, I went to the restroom twice. Each time it was dirty, and also the second time there were no paper towels for me to dry my hands. there were dirty wet paper towels all over the cabinet. I left the restroom feeling gross.

I was suffering from a tooth ache and the only thing I could eat was soup. I wanted Pho from one of my local restaurants but my wife convinced me to get soup from Jasons D. I had barely been able to eat but I was starving and chicken pot pie sounded great. My order was correct online. Jason's has the request pre-made. It only goes through two hands who both receive the order. The first person walks over to the large premade heated soups, and doesn't pay attention and makes a cup- not a pre-paid bowl. The second person is supposed to check the order and put it into a bag. Neither person- who have very little to do with the online system or make the food did anything to make sure the order was correct. Maybe Jason needs to automate this process as human interaction with the order is the point of failure/ twice.
