We stopped by in the mid-afternoon to spend a couple of hours. We paid for the 3-hour free-play that comes with some fountain drinks and free refills. Even though the space was not packed, our server was not very attentive. They waited a very long time before taking our initial order and didn't check on us for a long time for refills or any other orders. The game selection is impressive. I appreciated that things are labeled to indicate difficulty level and approximate time needed for play. Their staff is also on hand to give recommendations.

Absolutely fantastic place if you love games. Service was great, always very prompt. Had the garlic bites and they wee very tasty. Couldn't get enough of them. Great ambiance. Wasn't noisy. Noise was always at a very acceptable level. Go with family/friends. You will not be disappointed!

Great spot with a good happy hour deal. Fun games and staff are very knowledgeable. They have a drink of the month so that's cute.

Love coming here to try new games and play our favourites. They have a large variety of games to choose from, and board games are separated by category. If you have trouble choosing a game or want help learning the rules, they have game gurus who will sit down and help you with the game. I've always found it helpful to learn new games. I ordered the warm pretzel and a Nutella hot chocolate. They were both great especially on a cold day. I've been coming to this location for years and I always have a great time here. I'll definitely come back again once they re-open to try some new board game.

This place has a variety of board games options and charge a $8 cover fee per person to access the games. There's a very knowledgeable gentleman there, who helps you find a game and also explains you how to play it with your friends. The food and drink menu does not have a wide variety of options and also the food and coffee here was very basic. I would suggest visiting this place with friends who are really interested to okay for a few hours to fully utilise the cover charge you're expensing. My bill ended up being $32, and I ordered just one main and a shareable (which costed $5 for my share) They charge 15% gratuity if you are a group of 5 or more, which also impacted for bill to be higher. So for Students's on budget, I would suggest get the shareable and just a coffee to stay under $25 per person, because the food isn't that great anyways. Focus on the games!!!

I highly recommend Snakes and Lattes as a great two hour diversion or evening out. The best part are the staff. They are incredibly welcoming, happy and helpful. The server recommend a hot tea cocktail called The Duke. It's lavender, Gin, tea and a little sugar. Served in a clear glass, it was refreshing and oddly delicious! The shaken strawberry margarita had a slice of blood orange in it and was uniquely sour for a strawberry margarita. My University of Toronto daughter didn't like it so she gave it to me. I liked it, but nothing in it tasted strawberry. The snack platter was a little disappointing. The pita slices were good but the "fake" tortilla chips looked like pringles. Baby carrots were fine, just the platter was boring. The salsa and dips seemed from a can. The pretzel was dry. 100% it was a frozen bulk pretzel warmed up but made dry. For $7 not worth it. The s'mores shake looked great, but was extremely sweet. The Boozy Banana very sweet. I didn't detect any ice cream. It tasted like whipped cream, a banana, a little caramel an and tiny amount of rum. I'll return but stick to beer and games. Hmmm. Maybe they could have a beer pong contest!

This is actually my friend's Oreo's & Cream milkshake, I had already sipped half of mine by the time I realized I wanted a photo, $7

As much as I enjoy playing board games I have not stepped foot into a Snakes & Lattes til recent. Food: I am not vegetarian at heart and had the avocado smash wrap which tasted alright. The highlight for me was the Oreos & Cream milkshake, I would have gotten a second one but had to restrain myself. Service & atmosphere: I still do not know the order of how the humongous selection of games are set up, I prolly need to read other reviews to find out how hehe. The games are sectioned off in categories. There are coloured stickers on the boxes that indicate difficulty level! Service was not bad, I had some games in mind and honestly could not find it on the shelves. If you are not able to find a game they can bring it to you too. And if you somehow know how to maneuver through the shelves and cannot find the game you want and no one has it at their table, they can also look through their inventory at the back! They have so many games that the cafe is unable to shelve them all. During the summer, the AC can be a bit cold and if you plan to stay there for long hours, best to bring a sweater! Price: There is an $8 all you can play fee, prices of food was mid-range.

An absolutely amazing place to be with friends and family playing some weirdly different board games that you probably never knew existed or even some Of you favourites when you were younger. The staff is friendly and will show you how to play if you can't figure it. The food is reasonably priced and the cover charge of $8 does not hurt. With a large group from work as a fun event, we had a blast. The crowd was mainly millennials when we went and had some great time with them as well. Would go again for sure!

Great board game cafe and great food! No reservations at this location. You have to walk in and wait for a table and if you're lucky, you will be seated immediately; however, if they are busy, the wait time can range from 30-40 minutes. Its about a $8 to get access to unlimited games for an unlimited time. Great selection of games and the servers will even explain new games to you if you don't understand how to play it. The service is great as well. Servers are constantly refilling drinks and they even go into detail about the menu which is great. Their menu has a lot of vegetarian and vegan options which are super delicious! The nachos are very flavourful and their chilli tastes so good! You can get it with the nachos, the hot dog, or on its own. Their desserts and drinks are good as well. Overall, the food is amazing but very pricey for a game cafe.

THE PERFECT PLACE FOR A DATE OR TO HANG OUT WITH YOUR FRIENDS I LOVED this place - my experience was a definite 5/5! They have such a huge collection of board games to choose from, you could spend here all day and not get bored (there is a time limit though). They have snacks, drinks and brunch options in their menu and you can go there just for the food if you don't want to play. The staff if really amazing - they know all the rules for every game (which is so impressive) and really take their time to explain it to the customers. I think you can go there without a reservation but given how popular the place is - I recommend getting a reservation, just to be safe. Definitely a must try!

Some part of the Game collection, there's some more on the other side.

Yes I've rated it two stars (thanks but no thanks to the gal at front desk). The games collection here is good the only good part of our night. We all understand and know how busy Friday night can get at a fun spot like this. Generally I'm not someone to write a harsh review but unfortunately they had no one in person to convey our message and the staff made our experience was extremely disappointing. The concept is really good and if you're lucky, you might get a better staff to deal with and your experience might be really good. Few pointers for first timers and why I rated 2 stars. 1) They don't take reservations and if you have bigger group (6 or more) then chances of you waiting for couple hours are very high. Also they have no seats in the waiting area. Adding to the disappointment, you can't even order something to drink or bite on while you wait there to get a table. 2) Unfortunately, some of the staff here are too young to handle a busy night and are just not trained enough to manage it smooth. 3) They shut down the expresso machine around 10:55 even though the place is open until 2AM with limited items on the menu. We got the table almost around same time but another untrained server took her own time to come to our table after 11:05 just to say that machine is shut for the day. Anyway we had to get the drip masala tea which came with no sugar, no milk, no stirrer if not asked for it. Jeez..! 4) You've to pay $8 per person to play as much you want. Food charges extra. Nachos with Trio Dip is $13 and it was the WORST salsa , cheese and beans we ever had. 5) The female at the front desk who puts down your name on the list was a friendly but annoyed us the most. If you want to talk funny she will very much respond but when it came to showing her work performance it was down the drain. Taking her job too lightly. Kept giving us illogical explanations as to why we haven't been seated yet if clearly 5-6 tables were available. Extremely stubborn and stupid to be on the front desk. Direct msg to her-You need to go back to training to learn how to effectively manage a busy night here. It might be a fun place to work at but it's not a candy store. We are real customers gal..! Don't do a shitty job. Please..! you completely ruined the night for us. P.S To the management here-Please feel free to contact me if you want more clarification about my review and experience here. I may consider going to some other location of yours instead of this one only bcz of the untrained and unprofessional staff here. We paid bill of $90 for group of 6.

Always a great time here and definitely a place worthwhile to visit if you are ever visiting Toronto and are in the annex area. There are TONs of boardgames here and they are organized very well across several bookshelves - there is literally a boardgame for everyone and you will definitely find something to your liking. The boardgames are also very well maintained (eg. cards are laminated, boardgame pieces are organized into small bags). The food and drinks here are decent and are reasonably priced. I always end up getting a tea. + The flat fee to play here is $6.00 + Free wifi! + They serve alcohol! Alcohol and boardgames - great combination + They close at midnight most days. They close at 2am on Saturdays

First time ever at a board game cafe! Note: There is an $8 cover for each person to have UNLIMITED access to games so it is beneficial to stay here for a bit Drinks: Coffee was good but I was expecting more options for a place called snakes and lattes. It seemed they were pushing more beer than coffee on a Sunday early afternoon Food: Grilled Cheese and soup of the day (tomato) I was surprised how good it was! Definitely tasted more than just a basic grilled cheese and tomato soup Alittle pricey but it is what it is I ended up paying over $60 for two covers, soup/sandwich, a coffee and a beer. Definitely worth it if you are going to stay here a while but it was a good experience.

Iced latte and the ice coffee with a game of scrabble. Large table with space to play the games.

I went around 5pm on a weekday. Had a $10 martini (HH price), half dozen oysters, endive salad, French onion soup, and their crème brûlée... ate everything. Would have licked the plates. 1) it was a strong martini. Lovely 2) BEAUTIFUL oysters and I eat a lot of oysters 3) sweet and nutty endive salad. Crunchy from the nuts, crispy from the endives, sweet dressing with some chili flakes to wrap it all together. Didn't lick my plate, but I did lick my fork all the way to my fingers 4) hearty French onion soup. Wasn't too salty. Good amount of bread and cheese. Fabulous. Comforting 5) ended it all with crème brûlée. Not the smoothest, but they had vanilla bean in it and a nice crust on top, so I'm not complaining.

We arrived shortly after they opened, the aesthetic is eclectic and simple. The seating arrangements are comfortable and available indoors and outdoors. We both got their classic breakfast with double smoked bacon; I opted for a beer ginger drink and my friend ordered a chai latte with oat milk. She really enjoyed her drink, and it was a decent size. Whereas my beer and ginger juice was delicious yet on the small side, especially since ice cubes took up a lot of space. As for the meal itself, the eggs with crème fraîche was out of this world! They were the most delicious eggs I've ever eaten. I wish the portion was slightly bigger. The double smoked bacon was perfectly cooked and not greasy. It was thick and not overly salty. They fill up the rest of the plate with 3-4 slices of sourdough and I appreciated that they butters the toast and offered us jam. Overall the plate was fresh and delicious. I' savoured each bite. The service was good, attentive and friendly. Towards the end of our meal, it was getting busy and the noise volume increased, so just a heads up to anyone who doesn't like loud spaces. The music was on point though and I can imagine on a warmer day, the patio would also be a cool vibe to experience. One note I feel is needed to mention is the bathroom. I almost missed the steps descending down to the bathroom because the area is poorly lit. This is a safety issue. Secondly, if you're tall like me, the stalls are very tight and claustrophobic. I barely had any room in the stall and it was very uncomfortable; be careful if you're bringing your purse/phone cause there's no space and I could easily see how things can drop in the toilet. I would highly recommend the business investing into this a little more.

The fine folks at Forget Me Not Coffee obviously know exactly what they're doing. I'll be returning very soon, that's for sure.
