READ WHOLE REVIEW. this gym doesn't want you to get bigger. the lack of 45 plates is actually funny and the weights on the machines is probably the lowest i've seen in a gym and i've been to a lot. i like the loaded leg press, but that being the only loaded machine with no attached weights is ridiculous as that's arguably the machine you'll go the heaviest on. walking across the gym to grab 45's because you have maybe 14 in the premises literally makes me never wanna go here. ESPECIALLY after treacherous sets. every other gym i've went to has like double the amount of weight on their machines than this gym. SUPPLY YOUR GYM! IT DRIVES PEOPLE AWAY. read more

The key card doesn't work to scan you in frequently and they make you pay for the key card. They're staffed limited hours so I've been locked out several times... definitely a waste of time and money. I went tonight and 4 people with memberships were locked out due to their key cards not working. The sauna in the women's bathroom has also been broken for six months. read more

Not a great experience. Went in and bought a prepaid three month membership with an additional $20 for a keycard. The manager was nice enough. Went in to work out and was confronted by what you see in the photos below...of about ten treadmills, nine are not working and will be down for maintenance for THREE WEEKS. This is really poor management of a facility. I run on treadmills in the winter, okay? So does almost everyone. It's December going into January. Maybe repair your treadmills, I dunno, half at a time so that people can still exercise? Not a great thing to be greeted by on my first day in a new facility that has just charged me $140 upfront to use the place. So, canceled and am looking elsewhere for my needs. They assureds me of a FULL refund, including the charge for the keycard which I only swiped once and then returned. Will keep you posted. This was overall a weak experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. Extra star because the gym was attractive and the price was okay. read more

This is the worst gym I've ever had a membership with. After three years of being with them I experienced a extremely stressful harassment issue with a young man. All they wanted to do was terminate both of our accounts and not deal with it. Do not waste your money on this piece of crap gym. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

I signed up to the Talent location 30 minutes before it burned down. I was the last customer to be in it before it was destroyed. It was the first real shower, after I worked out, I had had after living out of my car to work on a nearby farm for the month prior. My job was greatly affected by the fire. After the fire, I tried my best to find a shower from another Snap Fitness. But every other location within driving distance all had closed showers "because of covid". They refused to refund my $60 because I had signed into other locations - to try to find showers - that were closed. I took pics of everything and will be returning to this review to upload them. I don't understand how they could be so heartless- that I had only signed up 30 minutes for a location that burned down. I was signing up *for that* location and they immediately could no longer provide that service. I feel bad of course they lost the building but they have insurance and gave zero cares about someone who had literally just signed up and then was put out, so they could not fulfill what I thought I was going to be able to get from them. I did try talking to a couple reps from the company and they told me to take a hike, because I used the card to try to find other showers, that I was using the membership- even though I was at each location less than a minute and found I couldn't shower. read more

So the four stars is really for the members that were working out late Friday afternoon, since the staff was already gone for the day. In town and needed. A place to get a work out on before a weekend of bachelor party drinking. Went to another local gym (won't mention their name) but their staffed decided to close about 20 min earlier than their posted time. Anyhow, came to Snap and a member was cool enough to let me on. Nice little gym, clean and had everything I needed for a great Friday workout! read more

Ashland South Snap Fitness is super convenient, clean, safe and friendly. I have only had my membership for a month, but have already made more use of it that the membership I had at a different gym for years. The manager was exceedingly helpful when I was setting up my membership. My complimentary orientation session gave me the confidence I needed to get into the gym. The trainer helped my with all the knobs and settings and gave me a schedule to follow, which was awesome 'cause I'm using the equipment without hurting myself. (In the past, my husband and I would just hop on a treadmill and push buttons until it started moving...and a painful 15 minutes later stumble off cursing. Or try to row, row, row the boat nowhere and have strangers say, "You're going to hurt yourself." Of course, I was like, "Pshaw...I've got this!" Until I woke up the next morning and couldn't lift my toothbrush to my mouth. Anyway, I digress...) My husband loves my workout days, because I come bouncing into the house and make him feel all my new muscles. read more

First time I've been to a Snap Fitness. I go to my home gym 3 days a week and incorporate a lot of functional training (use of bosu and ball). Seeing plays in Ashland and I usually go to the YMCA, but our B&B (McCall House) had a card for it and it was just 2 blocks down the street. My trainer sent a routine that relied on barbell, dumbbells, and the cable machine. I was able to do my circuit routine, and perhaps because it was Sunday morning, no problem lining up the weights in the order needed to do the circuit (no waiting... darn!). Clean facility. 1 shower for men and 1 for women (private restroom), so if someone is taking a shower AND someone else has to use the toilet, that could be a problem (although maybe they have a toilet only facility too - I might have missed that). All in all, it certainly suited my needs. read more

We're long time visitors to Ashland/OSF. We just signed up with Snap after going to Anytime for years. The Snap Fitness was easy to join with our Silver Sneakers card. The machines are newer and the gym isn't crowded (at least on weekday mornings). Tyler, a personal trainer, was very welcoming and helpful. The gym is clean and has a sauna! And 24/7 access - love it! read more

Let me say that the gym itself is lovely, however The manager of this snap fitness is unfriendly and hostel. Makes me want to erase my membership from this company completely, and tell my friends to do the same. I misplaced my pass but my husband had his so I assumed it would be alright to just use one; I thought wrong. Minutes later I am being harassed, approached by the owner in a very unfriendly manner "excuse me may I see your pass!" "Where is your pass" blah fcking BLAH. This gym is top notch in all categories. I've worked out in 8 different gyms over the last 20+ years locally and while traveling. It is clean, safe, modern and well-managed. When the North Ashland Snap opened several years ago I was hopeful it would be a good fit and it hasn't disappointed. The South Snap is even better. The manager and staff have always been helpful, thoughtful, respectful, honest, courteous knowledgeable and fun to be around. You can tell that the manager, Eric, has been in the business a long time. As a member of a 24/7 gym, I appreciate the efforts made to ensure my safety and fairness making sure that members are who they say they are. Thank goodness Snap came to Ashland! read more
