Not having to "come up with exercises" is a plus for me. I signed up for the Elite membership which averages about 3 workout sessions a week. As a plus, initially and every 2 months you'll receive an InBody Scanner to measure your body composition (muscle/fat %) . Talk about an eye opener?! So far I've truly enjoyed the high-intensity studio experience, which combines cardio and strength equipment (treadmill, water rowers, TRX suspension trainer, weights). Orangetheory stands out from other fitness regimens with interval training, and individual monitoring via heart rate technology. It's very motivating to "view and track" my progress during and after a workout. I'm still a bit confused with the verbiage and understanding of the color codes but I get a good sweat each time so that's enough for me. This personalized approach helps me to maximize my calorie burn. Coach Preston is super motivating and the music and exercise selections have all been fresh and different each sessions. I also love the flexibility to attend different locations. I'm early on in my journey but so far it's been good.

Even after the gyms opened back up, the big mega gyms still made me a little uncomfy. I kept seeing ads for Hotworx and figured I give it a try. I'd done and rather enjoyed hot yoga, so I was intrigued by workouts that were all done in a sauna. I called and arranged a tour with the gym manager and was sold. It was small, had individual rooms, was open 24 hours, and the workouts were total body. Sign me up! Membership is a little more than $60/month, but you can take as many classes as you want at any time that you want. The start up cost is a little bit more as you have to purchase their special mat and towel due to the sauna temperatures. The classes are virtual, so you just follow along with a video instructor, but they're easy to keep up with while still providing a challenging workout. I also love that in addition to the sauna workouts there's a selection of free weights, ropes, and a few other pieces of equipment. On days were I just don't have it in me to do a class, I can do a quick circuit. I've never had any issues, can always find a class at the time I need, and the staff are friendly and helpful whenever I've had any questions. So glad I decided to try something new and join!

So this is my first review of a gym, typically review restaurants which looking down at my waistline, this is where I need to be. I signed up via the website Dec 2021 and a few phone calls to the establishment to ask some simple questions relating to finances and membership pricing. I was provide the information, the representative that I spoke to was professional and was able to answer my question and articulate it in a manner in which I understood. Kept an eye on the progress of construction so it gave me a general idea when they will open. Got a nice card in the mail welcoming me, then I got a phone call to setup an initial tour and the onboarding process. Scheduled my appointment and showed up to a very sleek, clean facility. A couple of smiles and 1 employee opened the door for me, took my breathe away. As I stepped in the place was inviting, no blaring music and a little casual conversations going on. I can hear some go-getters getting some in one f the saunas. That's awesome because that will be me soon, hopefully no loud yelps of despair. I was helped by Monique (hope i spelt that correctly), what a wonderful lady. Very professional, clearly briefed me on the agenda then down to the nitty gritty of policies and a quick electronic signature of acceptance. After the paperwork, they gave me the keys to castle (trumpets sounding) actually I got the WiFi password which to some children is their lifeline. I was kindly introduced to another associate who was able to set up 2 phones apps, one to unlock the front door during un-attended hours and the other to book sessions, track calories, and develop a plan to take first place in the local eventually global leaderboard. What better way to meet your fitness goals than to have a fun challenge with like minded people. After the technology setup, i was given a tour of the facility. Going over the use of the sauna, location of the equipment based exercises and the none equipment rooms, restroom with shower and additional restroom, kettle bells and dumbbells, rack and a vending machine for snacks beverages and keys to towels should you forget one. So folks that wraps up my review of joining this Gym you may experience something else so go ahead an give it shot and make your own assessment of it. Look for my upcoming reviews, i thinking making a review of each exercise they provide and a few tips on what I do to maximize my experience.
