I love this place. They have great equipment and a very helpful staff. I love the fact that it's open all the time.

The owner is very nice and when he saw me and new I was new, went out of the way to introduce himself. I had a tour with one of the trainers who works out of the gym, and he was both super knowledgeable and nice. I have been when pretty busy, and when I was the only one in the place and never had an issue getting in my full workout. If I was to give any criticism it would be that the locker rooms are small (well the mens one is) but they cannot really do anything to change that, and they are adequate.

I called the gym, but no one answered; typical. However to my surprise, I received a text from the owner saying he was in a meeting and couldn't get to the phone but wanted to know if I needed anything! I told him my situation and he gave me an entire weekend pass! The gym is a fob entry system, I went in the morning and had the whole place to myself, they had an awesome environment with lots of options. I enjoyed the place so much I decided to support it and buy one of their awesome fitness sweatshirts, which was only $20! I had a great experience and when I'm back in Lansing, I know where I will be.

They started billing me on a monthly basis in the fall...I placed a call multiple times to the phone number on my credit card listing-517-749-3003 and requested my membership be cancelled and money refunded. They continued to bill my credit card. The message I left at the above # indicated I would be contacting the Attorney General's office if I did not receive a call back.--no call received- I looked up the phone # for the gym on line this a.m. and called that number prior to my filing a complaint with the Attorney General. I called 244-0300 and spoke with Brandon who has agreed to refund 50% of the monthly charges and terminate my membership---(says this isn't his fault because I did not call the landline # listed online and he had never talked with me). REALLY? should I HAVE TO GO ONLINE TO GET THE PHONE #? Brandon states he does not know who the phone # of 517-749-3003 belongs to and/or why the number is coming through on the credit card itemization-but will follow up and advise me of the findings. I was being billed for $29.99 at SNAP per month since I only anticipated being in the facility 1 time a week. I have been a member of Planet Fitness since last fall-$10 a month with unlimited visits.....can have the deluxe membership through them for less than $30 a month! I simply drive an additional 5 miles to get there. I was so excited to see that SNAP was here---but so very disappointed at the manner in which things have played out with them. I hope that Brandon and Ryan are able to get things straightened out so they will have a thriving business! Willie P.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews here and I've read each one of them. I see where they all are…read morecoming from and I, too, have experienced those things. I came from Texas and this was my first paying gym. I've never had to pay gym fees before because either 1) my last job had a free gym (military), 2) my apartment had a gym. So I had to look for a new playground as soon as I moved here recently. I like my squat racks and free weights, so I feel like this was my only option. There's Planet Fitness (no olympic weight sets), and Crunch Fitness (wasn't even open at the time). I got my membership, got a tour, and I've been coming here every single day for about 4 months now. So here's my review... - The staff is pretty friendly. The gentleman that signed me up was pretty knowledgeable. I mean, I never really had to interact with them other than whenever I scan my card coming in. - You get the campus gym vibe. A lot of young college students and that alone can get intimidating. My first impression here was: "wow, they are all wearing Gymshark!" If you look around, girls are either wearing sports bra or high-waisted pants, or a combination of both (I'm guilty of this too. Lol). And boys are wearing their tank tops. I say it can get intimidating because when I walked into this gym for the first time, I felt so insecure of my body. You get stares every time you walk in. I get past that fear the more I come here. - Plates everywhere! If you come during the peak time, you see barbells and plates not re-racked, and cable machine attachments all on the floor. They're just on the ground. It can get really annoying! If you're strong enough to load the bar, you're strong enough to unload it. - There's a lot of squat racks to use. I don't think I ever had a problem needing one even when it's busy. - The women's bathroom is clean and very well lit. - The machines are constantly renovated. Like I said, I've only been coming here for about 4 months and although I've had some bad experiences, it gets better the more you come here. I've met new friends and I enjoy this gym now than it was the first couple weeks.

Some of the staff members are rude, equipment is barely maintained (some worse than the IM gyms on…read morecampus). Ridiculous pricing compared to other gyms around the area. You're better off going to crunch or the campus gyms.
