The only issue is that I decided to go on a Sunday which is probably the worst day to decide to go to a laundromat. I'd suggest going on a less busy day/time. But even with it being crowded, we stood and stalked machines that only had a short amount of time left and hopped in when then people appeared to remove their clothing so I wasn't there that long. The machines were easy to operate. The least expensive machine was $3.50. It was REALLY SMALL inside but it did the trick. The dryers are only 25 cents and get REALLY HOT depending on if you choose high. My clothing dried super fast I love that they accept coins or you can pay with your phone. The place was also nice and clean and the attendant was nice and helpful. I am not super familiar with the area but it seems pretty safe. One man did approach my daughter and I in the parking lot asking if he could clean my windows but he wasn't a threat. While we are stuck in this hotel, I will definitely return when the need arises!

The laundry bay is opened on both sides as to allow air flow I'm assuming. I can't tell you as it is a rather chilly night for me! But the facilities is equipped with a large fan which is moderately and thoughtfully placed across from the folding tables above the vending machine if one needed more airflow! The prices are fair and the machines seem to be working as expected. Kudos to one of the better 24 he spots I've visited. Though a few things could use a little attention and less neglect. Heck, I even had to dig in the car for 32 cents to finish a dryer and SHE TOOK PENNIES!!! How cool is that!? When I raised the concern, instead of taking responsibility or offering a reasonable resolution, the company dismissed the damage entirely, hid behind "industry standards," and claimed the changes were within "normal tolerances," despite the fact that the garments were materially altered and unusable. What was especially frustrating is that a prior issue with a different garment had already occurred, which they acknowledged at the time by offering compensation as a "courtesy." Now, faced with a much larger and more obvious loss, they refused any accountability. I expected professionalism and care commensurate with handling expensive clothing. Instead, I was met with deflection and a refusal to stand behind their work. I would strongly caution anyone considering bringing valuable or tailored garments here.

But I had rugs to wash so I ventured to a laundromat. I found Suds Club online and it was GREAT! The store is located on Oakland Park Boulevard, east of University Drive and west of the Turnpike. The store is air conditioned - yeah! There are 100 machines (regular and large size washers and dryers) and vending machines offering food, beverages, and games! They even had a mechanical horse that would giddy up and give kids rides at a fee! There were several TVs on - one just started broadcasting Fiddler on the Roof as I sat down, so I watched a bit of the movie in one of their roomy chairs. There are bathrooms for men and women too. Store employees man a desk where they accept laundry drop offs and present cleaned and pressed clothes to their customers. There are shelves of detergent and fabric softener for sale behind their desk. There is a coin changing machine to convert $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills but the employees can change paper money for those who don't want to convert large bills into quarters. (The large machines cost $5.50 per load and the dryers cost a quarter per 8 minutes of high pressure hot air.) Throughout the store there are table tops for folding clothes and clothes baskets on wheels to convenience people needing to transport clothes between washers and dryers, or to folding stations. Last week I tried another laundromat - my first time ever in a laundromat and I thought it was ok. But today's experience was so much better! The A/C alone made it more bearable. But more than that, even though Suds Club was busy, several machines remained available for more customers, and the store's size kept us from feeling crowded. There is a bank of windows at the front of the store and inside the store it is brightly lit - so between the light and the walls' murals it felt like a happy place - even though we were all doing laundry! There are security cameras all around so no matter when you come here (they're open 24/7) you'd have a sense of security. I look forward to getting our new washer but if I had to keep coming here to do my laundry I'd be ok with it. There are many stores nearby, the machines worked quickly, and the store employees were friendly and helpful. This is a really great laundromat!
