Yvette and Samantha have done a phenomenal job making my now 4yo very comfortable with getting his haircut! It was baby steps for him and they were very accommodating. He loves the extra tricks of bubbles, animal crackers, lollipops, and a prize at the end. I am beyond appreciative of their kindness and hard work! read more

This place is awful, under estimated the wait severely and one of the hair dressers takes a half hour to do a whiffle. Do not bring your kids here. Finally got our hair cut and the A-hole hairdresser scared the crap out of him, so then we got shorted on the haircut...great business plan. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Arrived right at opening to find a small line waiting at the door. First person in line checks in 2 kids for cuts. Rather than have one kid from the same family follow the other with the same stylist, they choose to occupy two stylists with the two kids simultaneously. Thus the second and third people in line at 10 am are waiting 24 and 45 min for their cuts respectively. Super annoying. On the plus side, the staff are always friendly and patient despite a lot of screaming kids. Cuts are usually good quality and the concept is great. If they could fix the wait times for walk ins so parents can better plan, it would be great. read more

I want an appointment. I want you to actually be ready when I am Customer service: 4 - the staff and stylists have always been really friendly and helpful and patient Haircut: totally fine. He's been a couple times now and always looks good when he leaves. I think I have walked away due to hour long waits, as many times as he's actually got his haircut. Great concept but poor execution. It's clear they don't invest in furniture or technology as here, both are antiquated and not cared for. Same with the kids toys. Also, the stylists seem annoyed and didn't make my child feel welcome. Management should provide training to the stylists in customer service and share the vision or goal of the company as its lost on this group. For the price, you can make an appointment at a real salon and that's what I recommend you do. Two stars because the hair cut is ok. read more

We recently took my 2-year-old daughter here for her first haircut. The stylist who saw her did a great job and she was very friendly, so my daughter had a great time. I don't have much to say about the actual haircut--my girl still doesn't have a lot of hair so it wasn't anything fancy or elaborate--but we were perfectly satisfied with it. The prices are somewhat steep--$17 for a child's haircut--so we probably won't come here all the time, but for her first haircut we liked the idea of a place specifically geared toward kids. I brought my son here for his second haircut because I brought him for his first one at the Peabody location and they did a great job despite his squirming. I do really like the atmosphere and the toy dispensing machine but the woman that cut his hair did a HORRIBLE job! It's uneven and choppy on top where she used scissors and there are stray hairs where she used the clippers which generally indicates that they haven't been sharpened. It's by far the worst haircut I've ever seen. I won't be coming back here again, I could do a much better job and keep the $20 or maybe I'll go back to Peabody. read more

Back to poor service. This place changed management a few months ago, which was totally welcome because the old management was horrendous. We had a few good experiences with the new management but our last two haircuts for our two young girls reverted to the old way of doing business. Specifically, both my girls walked away with unevenly cut, generally poor haircuts. And that was after 45 minute waits because they only had two people working on weekend mornings. And when it's finally your turn, the stylists are surely and don't seem to like children. Definitely avoid this place until they can get their act in order. read more

If i could give it a 0 star i would!!! I brought Both of my sons! 2 years old and my 15 month old! And we went with my nephew who is 11 months old and was going for his first haircut! IT WAS AWFUL! All 3 of the boys got their hair butchered! My oldest looked like he got a bowl cut! Think of Loyd from dumb and dumber! My youngest was patchy all over! And NOTHING was blended in either of their hair! My Nephew literally had holes in his haircut! Granted this was a Saturday, and they were a tad busy ( we waited 20 mins) there is NO excuse with how my sons and nephew walked out of there looking like! They knew we were unhappy and tried to just ignore it! We went there for the first time because of my nephews first haircut and wanted to have a fun experience for the kids! (And ya they have fun stuff for the kids, but not worth having to walk out looking like they did) I left there and drove straight to another shop to fix both of my sons hair ! My honest opinion if you want your boys haircuts with buzzers, DONT GO!!!! Seriously! Find a GOOD place! That is good with kids! And there are a lot out there!!! DONT GO TO SNIP ITS! Because literally they will just snip hair in all different places and have to pay double getting its fixed! read more

My daughter, and myself, absolutely LOVE this place... it's the only place she will get her haircut! We were sad to see it had closed down for a a few months, but now that they are open again (and under new management) it's an even better experience than it was before! My daughter loves that she can get ribbons, clips and sparkles put in her hair after her haircut and this mommy loves how painless and easy Snip-its makes it :) read more

If you are looking for a good place for your child's first haircut, move along. This is not the place. My daughter was terrified of the woman, and I kind of was too. Not kid friendly enough for a kid friendly place. Better off going to a regular salon. Management commented like they cared on my Facebook review but then never followed through. read more

My grandson has gone here several times, and ends up with an ugly haircut, that grows out poorly. My peeve with hairdressers who won't do what you ask is exemplified by this place. Go to the barber shop on Main St., right next to the fire station, now THEY give a great haircut for $12! read more

North Andover location = Lousy haircuts but friendlier employees and short waits (most of the time). Burlington = Decent haircuts (most of time). But rude employees (1 or 2 are okay) and always have a wait -- and no one rushes. I have been there when they disappear for 20 minutes at a time in between customers -- despite a waiting room full of kids. read more

Went to get my 13 month old sons haircut today and it looks great! The hairdresser gave him a lollipop that kept him entertained most of the time. I am taking off one star because she could have been a bit friendlier, but other than that great job. We will definitely take him back for the next haircut. read more

I love Snip-its in North Andover! If you are looking for a friendly and very clean place to take your kids for a great hair cut this is the place! Both of my children have had their first hair cuts there and despite the tears and moving the hair dresser did a great job! She has to have alot of patients!!!! My kids especially loved the "prize" at the end! That always works!!! read more

Cool place to bring kids for a haircut. Very friendly staff and the prices were decent to reasonable. We don't really have loyalty to a certain hair retailer but we may have to reconsider to come back. Its nice with multiple kids to simply stop at one place and just rotate them in for haircuts.
