If you are planning to go as a group, there are better and more professional establishments which are cheaper and/or same priced. The only saving point of this establishment is Mark (seaplane pilot) who made all the efforts to not only ensure that our experience on the air was great but also to redeem the Company. Overall, in the state where aviation is one of the major industries, there are better, more professional, and cost efficient companies and small businesses. Try them. They will have more respect and consideration for your experience. If you insist on booking from this establishment, exaggerate your weight to make sure that they cannot fly anyone with you.

Jay gave us the choice of where we wanted to fly, it was a great evening flight where he flew to see Mt. Rainier, Mt Adams and Mt St. Helen. Then he flew us to Bellevue circled around the city and headed to the Space Needle. It was unbelievable how close he flew to the Space Needle and downtown Seattle. He then headed down the straits back to Gig Harbor, explaining all the sights along the way. He then circled around Fox Island did a great landing at the airport for a great flight. This part may make you ill; the day before I bought 4' Blue Painters Tape went on the roof and taped a huge I LOVE YOU. The day of the flight the pilot maintained the surprise for my boyfriend; they were professional, kins, bend over backwards kind of folks! It's going to go down as one of most memorable and unforgettable adventures! When we're old and grey, will still look back and remember flying the bright beautiful blue skies with you as our Captain. From plane to sea, you get the best of both. Not only did we get to enjoy a ride over the water passing boats, kayakers and se life, we got to experience a 20 minute flight in the air overlooking Seattle. The views were spectacular! A special Thank you to Captain Reed. Our flight was private with just the Captain, my better half and myself, and him being a huge aviation lover, the Captain allowed him to co-pilot. As more of my friends have crossed this age milestone, I've seen the full spectrum of responses: people who downplay it and later wish they'd done something special, people who throw huge parties and regret the stress and effort, and people who choose extreme adventures only to find the adrenaline crash leaves them feeling depleted afterward, bringing '50' home in a hard way. This struck exactly the right balance. It was special enough to feel like a true celebration, offered a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and created memories (and amazing photos) I'll carry with me for years. While it's certainly not inexpensive, once you see the amount of equipment, preparation, effort, infrastructure, expertise, and care that goes into each flight, the pricing feels more than reasonable. It's a significant experience without being financially out of reach. If you're looking for a memorable way to celebrate a milestone event--or simply want an extraordinary experience--I highly recommend it.

We really wanted to do a sunset flight with Seattle Ballooning last year (Aug. 2025) for our 10 year anniversary, but our flight got cancelled on our way there due to high winds, which was quite the disappointment since it was on our anniversary but understandable for safety. We rescheduled for a few days later, made it out to the launching point for the rescheduled flight only to have it also cancelled... again due to wind. We were told we could reschedule again, but we decided to let Seattle Ballooning hold our tickets until the following summer (2026) so we could do a surprise sunrise flight (since we were told sunrise flights are much less likely to get cancelled) for our son's 10th birthday, which is also in August. And even though there wasn't a cloud in the sky and was a perfectly sunny day on Aug. 20th, we got cancelled on again for the 3rd time... due to fog (even though there was no fog and fog doesn't usually start in western WA until the fall). Needless to say, it's been a very disappointing experience all 3 times, especially since we keep seeing posts about all the flights happening and how now is the perfect time to schedule. While it has been a disappointing experience 2 summers in a row and was also quite the long process to get our money refunded, I can say that the balloon pilots we got to meet last year prior to our 2nd flight getting cancelled were very nice, and the office staff have been friendly. I just wish we could have actually gotten to fly since all the posts I've seen have looked so nice. So if you do book with this company, please be prepared to be cancelled on and maybe have a back-up plan if you're trying to celebrate a special occasion.

This is by far, the smallest aircraft I've been inside, so I wasn't really expecting the…read morefear-of-death pangs that reverberated through my body once we were airborne and at the mercy of the bay breezes. Thankfully, our pilot, James, was a jovial fellow with a good command of his craft. A short three minutes later I felt my pucker give way to a state of enrapturement at the Seattle skyline from several hundred feet in the air. There is a certain giddiness that comes from laughing in the face of your own mortality, especially with James on the mike. The time will fly by and before you know it, you'll be descending back to Boeing Field. It's so surprising to realize how little runway this plane needs in order to land. Since I don't have the kind of rugged job where I get to fly around rescuing seals or people or whatever, the dream came true in the form of a helicopter tour I arranged for my husband's birthday from SKY Helicopters. Their service lets you choose from an array of tours out of either Vancouver Harbour or Pitt Meadows Airport, and since it's just you and your party (up to three passengers) and the pilot, you can customize a bit. For our tour, I chose the North Shore/Howe Sound tour, which normally takes you in behind the mountains and through the Lions. The day I booked ended up being cloudy over the peaks, so our pilot Bryce took us up along the North Shore and around Cypress, up Howe Sound, getting amazingly close to the steep, forested mountainsides. I was also amazed to see how all those big mansions of West Van looked like miniature dollhouses and the cars on the highway all looked like toys. Coming back, we were able to spend a bit more time flying over Stanley Park and circling over downtown - which was great because part of the point of the trip was to get some shots of the city from the air with my husband's new GoPro. (If you're really serious about photography, they can even take the doors off, though I wasn't quite ready for that thrill on my first ride!) It was a little sad to touch down again after spending half an hour floating above the world, but the experience was great from start to finish, from the prompt response from Bryce on my initial inquiry through the website to all the emails, phone calls and texts keeping in touch about the itinerary and weather changes etc. (you never know out here!) to just taking us on a fantastic flight. I think we can all agree that Vancouver is a good-looking city surrounded by spectacular scenery. And it looks even more amazing from the air! I have experienced my city from a new angle, plus had a great subject for my 800th YELP REVIEW!!! The SKY is the ultimate high!

The USS Nebraska's keel was laid down in May 26, 1987 ; it was launched on August 15, 1992 and commissioned on July 10, 1993. The sub is home to 1 of two crews for a typical deterrent mission under the MAD strategy for an average of 77 days. Each crew consists of ~17 officers, ~15 petty officers and ~122 enlisted men. The USS Nebraska has completed 18 deterrent missions as of September of 2010. This is the second Navy Ship to honor the State of Nebraska. Duty rotation for the crew is 18 hours with 6 hours at the primary duty station, ~6 hours of other duties. However, officers, however, typically are on for 14 hours or longer. This is the routine for the entire tour of duty. Aside from 24 Trident Ballistic missiles complete with MIRVs (Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicles), the sub features 4 forward torpedo tubes. 4 of the 18 Ohio class submarines are designed SSGNs and are equipped with cruise missiles instead of Trident Missiles. The tour allowed us to see the silos and torpedo bay including the control rooms for each. We also the Mess, the Ward room, the Petty Officers room, the berths of various personal and the bathrooms. The Control center and sonar rooms as well as misc machine rooms were part of the tour. The only areas pretty much off-limits to the friends and families touring the Nebraska was the engine room, nuclear reactor room and sail. We were treated to lunch which was 2 star food with 5 star service. During deployment, the kitchen is active 24/7 and the lunch we were served seemed to reflect what was served on board Kudos to the men (and soon woman) who go on watch on this sub.
