You cannot witness these animals in a fun active manner, they are crammed in tiny cages in survival mode, mostly are freaked out. The biggest ones that hit me was about 12 lemers crammed in a tiny cage all together. Then a tiny monkey was clearly loosing his mind, screaming at us, very frantic, in a cage a size small enough for a parakeet. (Good thing he was behind glass for our safety :-( ) This is not a place ppl drop of their pets (very FEW have) and these animals are not turned over to this place by zoo's that will not take these animals. This is mostly black market purchases that have gotten out of control. No one that loved an animal/pet would bring it here to slowly rot in this place. This is not a sanctuary- it's hell for these poor animals. This place is someone's house, with small added sheds around the yard and 3/4 tiny outdoor enclosures turned into a major hoarding zoo with the smallest of cages, stacked on top and next to each other. Putting these animals in dyer situations. When will these ppl stop buying animals? They have NO room. Surely, there has to be laws especially for the exotic animals crammed up crying for someone/something to save them. Heartbreaking, disgusting, and just outright wrong. -and to the gentleman replying to these Yelp post about this business. Most people know doodles are very hard to care for their hair. I absolutely do my best to care for her. Yes, she was matted, and I was okay with shaving her for the summer and keeping her comfortable. Me and my husband dropped her off, and my husband picked her up because I could not. It cost us 200$!! I know my husband paid the bill he didn't know what to do since I wasn't there to back him up on it. Yes, my doodle was matted, and I was aware, and she needed shaved down. They charge way too much for services they charged 50$ for matting, which she was shaved completely down, so they didn't demat her. She is a 25lb mini golden doodle. Her face is all chopped up uneven cut. Her ears are dirty they were never cleaned, and nails are sharp and not buffered, which was included in the service. Also has razor/clipper burns. I left a review on facebook explaining my opinion and experience. The owner, Danielle, blocked me from the Facebook page, After she came up with every excuse in the book for each complaint I had. She also didn't groom my dog. Our groomer stated my dog did great during the grooming, and Daniemle said she didn't and has video footage, which she will not show me. All I asked was for a refund, and I would be gone. She said no refunds, which is nowhere stated on the website or forms. They offered to fix her, but I refused to go back after they botched her. They also removed my review from google. I also posted a photo of Leela previously groomed at another groomer that was done correctly!

My very thoughtful friend bought me a gift card to Tractor Supply in Orange, MA as a Christmas…read moregift. So I went there and tried to buy something with it. The employee at the register scratched off the back for me to read the number. He scratched so hard that a couple of the numbers weren't readable and so the gift card couldn't be redeemed. None of this was my fault, but the rude manager lady who came up to try and help this kid said I'm out of luck. I said none of this was my fault and they needed to let me have the merchandise after taking the money from my friend who bought me the gift card. She refused. Rudely. Then her manager, Mike came to the register and he said no as well. What a waste of money for my friend who was just trying to do something nice for me. That store sucks. I always have a bad experience there. I'm never shopping there again. If you're the farming type and live near Orange, MA, I highly recommend Greenfield Farmers Cooperative Exchange. He listens, cares, and creates a plan that works for you AND your dogs. He also trains right in your home (or wherever the unwanted behavior is) so that you know it is being addressed. We've found other trainers to be fine at basic obedience, but not with behavioral issues. Brian is both and more. I cannot recommend him highly enough! Bravo to him! We hired Brian to help us train our Springer, Beardsley when he was young. As you read here, Brian came to our house, Beardsley fell in love with him and nearly instantly wanted to do whatever, whenever Brian asked. He helped us understand our dog and train him to be the best possible version of human companion imaginable, and Brian's lessons have remained in our heads and been practiced through the acquisition of our family's future pets. I see no need to echo what everyone else here is saying, it's all well-said and entirely true. Brian is worth his weight in gold. But two things I haven't heard here do deserve emphasis. Brian is absolutely great at relating personally to the dog lovers he works for. He empowers them (us) to become good trainers ourselves without mentioning the fact that he's doing so, so that you become adept at how to manage your dog's behavior and understand his inner brain workings by the time the training sessions are completed. This is a very good thing. Also, I have perhaps never had more usable advice in teaching a pet (or a child, even) than when Brian said to me, "Linda, just saying Beardsley's name louder isn't a command. I love Family Pet!!! All of my pets went to them until I moved out of the area two and a half…read moreyears ago. They were the best! After I moved, though, they were an hours' drive away. So I felt that I needed to look for a local vet instead. Four days ago I took my cat to a different, local vet (It was NOT Family Pet) to have a skin condition looked at and treated.... and that visit was one of my worst experiences with any veterinary hospital. The only good thing was that my cat was handled kindly throughout the examination. THEREFORE, I've decided that I am returning to Family Pet. It's over an hours' drive away from where I now live, but their level of care is worth it. Dr. Sue Mowcomber has always treated my pets - and me - with kindness and compassion. She also let me be with them while she examined them and she always explained her recommended treatments (what they were, why she chose certain options and she answered my questions). Family Pet's prices were always very fair, too. After what I just experienced at a local vet, I wish I'd never left Family Pet. Hopefully that will be remedied just as soon as I can get an appointment with Family Pet.

Other vets I have been to, good and bad, would put several options and then say "well, what do you think is best?" How would I know, I'm not a vet. I've watched every episode of Doc McStuffins but that is as far as it goes. The guidance and direction went all the way to the end when we eventually had to say that last goodbye. They knew it was time and were gentle and understanding that it just sucks and though you'll always want one more walk or snuggle on the couch, it's not fair to your friend who is in pain with no relief in sight. Today I went to pick up my new buddy from a procedure. On the counter there was a candle and a nice note asking people to be mindful that someone was saying that hard farewell. It was just another way that shows me that they care about their clients regardless of how many legs they have and inspired me to write this review.
