Some years back, I was being hounded by the owner, Nicole, about creating a website. She came out of nowhere and said she was successful at building websites for court reporters. She would contact me about once a week. I was a sole owner of a business without any support staff and crazy busy. Although I was interested in creating a site, she kept pushing relentlessly until she finally had me sign some sort of contract. She claims it contained payment terms, although I can't remember seeing any. Before I knew it, I had been charged $1600 for a website that had not been created, nor was I prepared to embark on the project. When I informed her that I unknowingly discovered the charges, she put some flunkie on my project who offered no help at all and of course Nicole was nowhere to be found. Stay far away from this company. They misrepresent what they do and the attention they will give you, push hard until they get your money, and don't deliver on services. I have since worked with another company whose process was seamless.

After spending over $1000 to list my business in the trusted yellow and white pages used by most residents of the North Shore, I have received nothing but confusing calls and visits from multiple sales people, unfruitful promises to correct their mistakes, and immature begging for unreasonable fees. My small business has been proudly providing my community with quality service and sponsorship for over 10 years, and this is the first year we will not be listed in the phone book. It is as if we have inexplicably disappeared, allowing our competitors a free share of our customer base. We have been relying on Community Phonebook to help us reach our customers, and this failure to deliver is extremely hurtful and disruptive to sales. I am extremely disappointed in the chaotic disorganization of this year's Community Phonebook, and have received no compensation for the error as of yet. I would hope that they will correct their mistake next year by providing customers that have had similar experiences with free listings and free advertising.
