They misdiagnosed, over charged and it took months to have it corrected. Plus, there was nothing they did I couldn't have done at home on my own. Go to Wasatch Physical Therapy. Don't waste your time and money here. Response to comment: btdt, after several phone calls and incorrect bills I left it for the insurance company to duke it out. I went in for the same service twice a week and every single time I was billed a different amount that wasn't just a few dollars off but hundreds of dollars! In addition, your people did not do anything special to deserve that kind of charge or price difference.

Although there are lots of things that happen at PCMC, that's probably one of the highest profile things that goes one. Rosenberg and Cooley and that's really all you need to know. These guys do a bajillion of these a year, but none so high-profile as when they worked on Tiger Woods. And many Olympic athletes. Skiing is hard on the knees, you know. Best of the best. But really, this review is about the Medical Center, and hot shot docs notwithstanding, it's a really nice facility. It's an IHC facility. If you're from around here you know what that means. If not.. well.. that's the big player in Utah Healthcare. But since when is anything simple? Check your coverage, check your providers, and on, and on, and on. Look at the map--you don't want to exit Kimball Junction. Instead, take Highway 40 and take the Park City/Kamas exit. It's the big beautiful building right off the freeway. Exit towards PC then take Round Valley. Park in front for patient care, but head around back for emergency arrivals. It's pretty gorgeous there. In Park City zoning tradition it doesn't look like a big medical complex. Arches, stone, timber and the like have you thinking it's a lodge or something. But that's the PC way. They offer an emergency room, orthopedic care, a women's center, physical therapy, and surgery. Or at least that's what I saw as I cruised around. Surely there's more (labs, etc.) but those are the highlights. Overall I was impressed. First-rate. For more specialized stuff or more services, you obviously have to head to SLC where there's a bigger population. But for Park City, or shoot--even for the county--you've got a terrific facility.

During treatment, several things made me question the quality of care I received. While suturing my wound, Dr. Lees asked the person who was with me, who is not medical staff, to assist instead of bringing in a trained hospital staff member. She also repeatedly broke sutures while attempting to close the wound. At one point, she left a pair of suture scissors in my bed, which were later discovered by an X-ray technician. At the time, I trusted that she knew what she was doing and did not question her decisions. Looking back, I regret that. After leaving the hospital, I shared photos of the stitches with family members, who immediately noted how poorly the wound had been closed. At the time, I was only concerned about proper healing and regaining full function of my knee, not the cosmetic appearance, which is why I did not seek a second opinion right away. I was not prescribed antibiotics upon discharge. I continued to experience pain, was unable to bend my knee, and could not walk without assistance. Despite this, I followed the timeline I was given before seeking follow-up care. When my primary care doctor removed the stitches, the wound had not healed and was still deep and open. Both my doctor and nurse were alarmed by the lack of antibiotics and the quality of the suturing. I was referred to a dermatologist, who had to redo the repair using absorbable stitches beneath the skin as well as a new set of surface stitches. The initial repair did not include these deeper stitches. As a result of this experience, I have been in pain for about two months and have had limited mobility. I strongly believe my recovery has been significantly prolonged due to the initial treatment I received. After going through all of this, I later shared the full experience with friends and family members, including several who are doctors or closely connected to the medical field. Their reactions to the overall situation were consistent and concerning, and their feedback is what ultimately compelled me to write this review. This was an extremely disappointing and alarming experience in what should have been a standard ER procedure.
