Weekly emails and a countdown calendar explaining to the campers what to expect at camp. I loved the online activity sign up; I was able to sit and work with my children to help have a fun day filled with new experiences and some do their favorites. Everything the camp does it top notch. It is located in a much forgotten about area of beautiful East Tennessee, tucked away just a few miles off the interstate. Multiple times on the drive there (about 1:15 from Knoxville) my breath was taken away at the scenery and gorgeousness of the farm land and mountains. The staff at the retreat was TOP NOTCH. It was clear they train and plan very effectively to meet the needs of the groups they are serving. The cabins we used were spacious and very clean. There were 8 bunk beds in each room with a full bathroom. I did not see them, but I understand they have very nice housing quarters for people like guest speakers, etc. The food was fantastic and exceeding all of my expectations for "camp food." I hope we are able to return here for many more years to come!

I'm so excited about camp this is the only one I've ever been to(except church camp) and I don't want to go to any other camp than camp ba yo ca (camp baptist youth camp) the only things I disliked was... -we were making a movie and I paid for repelling as an extra and I missed making the ending of our movie yeah that's it like i told you amazing camp Pointers -don't go on the blob it hurts -if you like repelling just fyi it is a good incline mile hike to get to your repelling spot - bring good shoes -don't plan to take a long shower -you WILL be sleeping and a wooden platform for one night (I LOVED this night) -take the bus it is a good way to make friends before you even get there My last words CAMP BA YO CA 4EVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -me P.S. camp counselor Rosey is the best!!!

Lt me first start by saying, I had a great time with our churches during our visit. But there are…read moresome thing's that really need to be looked into. First off, no cell service. While I know that is basically out of there hands, there is also no telephones in the buildings. Second, very difficult to find a camp leader/director when you need one. Those two things together isn't a good combo. Luckily we didn't have an emergency although we did have a scare as someone feel out of one of the top bunks during the night. The other thing is that the beds need brackets, ALL beds. First night + horrible bed = no sleep. I understand I'm not staying in a hotel but, adding brackets wouldn't be very difficult to do. A bed with no brackets means your head and feet are in the air while the rest is sunk in, similar to a taco. Other than those things, it's an overall beautiful place with many different things to do. It is a very large area that has multiple things spread out from each other. This is why we felt a telephone was needed. No outside contact.
