We spent well over an hour on the river, including time when we could actually get out of the raft and float down the river. Yak was our guide, and he was very obviously quite experienced. He knew exactly what to do to give us the most fun possible while keeping us safe. When everyone fell out of another raft ahead of us, Yak kept his cool and directed us over to them so we could help rescue them (everyone was fine). This guy was super chill and very knowledgeable about the area. You should definitely ask for him; he knows what he's doing.

We were extremely happy with the courteousness of the staff all around the property! Check-in was a breeze and they had scheduled us to white-water raft twice (which we wanted), horseback ride, and mountain bike. They way they had scheduled everything was perfect! Gave us plenty of time to rest and relax, sight-see, and shop, with the adrenaline adventures in between. Now... about our cabin. We were so blessed to have gotten a deluxe cabin (Ranger's cabin) which was amazing! It was gorgeous, comfortable, and we felt like we had our own slice of heaven in the mountains. We were also lucky to have satellite TV (yes, we wanted to unplug, but we were extremely pleased that we could watch the hurricane details on the news of what was going on at home). The beds and furniture were comfortable, and to top it off, every night we had an awesome fire in the fireplace (thanks to the outpost for selling firewood and firestarter). The best part of the trip was the rafting. There are a lot of rafting companies in the area, but it was so convenient to just walk up to the outpost, check-in for rafting, and be bussed to the starting area. They also pick you up and bring you back. We rafted twice, once with Robert, and once with Abby. Though they were the same part of the river for each trip, the experiences were so different. Both absolutely wonderful! If you want a calm ride, let your guide know. If you want it wild, let your guide know. Our guides were absolutely fantastic and made the experience incredibly memorable. Can't wait to go again! Overall experience - 5 stars. The cabins are awesome. The staff here is amazing. The rafting is super fun. All we have talked about is that we can't wait to go back. There are so many cabin rentals not far from the Ocoee River - but we will just turn our head, because we're definitely going to be repeat customers of Whitewater Express.

Everyone was friendly, down-to-earth, and professional. Before we got started, they took their time explaining everything, especially the safety side of the ride. They answered our questions and made sure we felt comfortable before heading out. At no point did we feel rushed or like we were just another group coming through. Once we hit the trails, that's when the real fun started! There was a nice variety of terrain. Some sections were easier where you could just enjoy the scenery and the ride, and then there were rougher sections that made it much more exciting. That combination was perfect for us. We were laughing, having fun, and enjoying ourselves the entire time. My girlfriend definitely picked a winner for my birthday! I've already been telling my friends that we need to come back and bring our girlfriends so we can all experience it together. If you enjoy off-roading or just want to try something different and adventurous while you're in the Blairsville area, put this place on your list. We traveled far for this, were excited to be there, and within seconds we were being yelled at for their transmission breaking in their own parking lot. He even complained about how much it would cost to fix. If you can't afford to maintain a vehicle that breaks this often, you shouldn't be running a business around it. I truly don't understand how a business can operate like this. He claims he "does this every day," yet it's being run out of a garage and has zero reviews on Yelp or transparencies. Do not go here. On top of that, I was flirted with and the guy was extremely creepy.

A small business but definitely filled with the best and most intentional staff. They were so great accommodating for just over 40 girls. We all were split up into multiple rafts (about 4-6 per raft) but they still kept us as a group throughout the 5 miles we were on the river- making sure we could all laugh at each other. In partial, my group got lucky with HOLLY! What a GEM! She had the most contagious energy and you can tell she truly loves what she does. I didn't realize until mentioning her afterwards at our camp, that apparently she's pretty well known for all of her outdoor adventures. While guiding us, we also asked some questions about her life and some of her highlight experiences, which included some memories from rafting through Italy and the Grand Canyon. It's amazing the adventures she's been on and you can tell that she lives for what she does. She made our "dream team" laugh probably 100 times and kept the whole experience exciting even when we took a lil break. This place was light hearted, fun, and even for my first time rafting, I always felt extremely safe. THANK YOU CASCADE! THANK YOU HOLLY!!!!

Our guide, Spencer, was incredibly skilled as he could have navigated blindfolded... yes, he's that good! Spencer was also an absolute blast to surf the river with... very friendly, knowledgable and well-traveled... he had plenty of amusing stories to share and kept us all very engaged. I should also mention that Spencer was also seriously great at gaging our comfort level vs. our spirit of adventure... therefore, he was able to navigate us down various paths of the river making it challenging and thrilling for us! While there are plenty of white water outfitters to pick from, we intentionally picked a smaller outfitter and we were so glad we did... we felt our experience was more personal, less generic, and seriously less crowded! I only wished I had sat in the front of the boat where the photographer was situated... that would have made a fantastic birthday photo. The only other "disappointment" was that Cascade Outdoors advertised about their HOT SHOWERS which was super important to us and was one of the main reasons we chose Cascade Outdoors... but there was NO hot water available and the lack of being able to take a good shower after the rafting trip did impede on our other plans. Other than that, Cascade Outdoors and our guide, Spencer, offered us a fabulously fun white water experience on the Ocoee River! We can't wait to return!!! :)

My husband, my son and I took the 2 hour Valley River Ride. My son and I have never been on a horse before and Jess made me feel so comfortable riding with her instructions and passion that I didn't feel nervous at all. It seemed like the horses were perfectly matched with each of our personalities as well. The prices are fair, the horses are well taken care of and trained, the staff are awesome and it was just an all around great experience. For our wedding anniversary, we exchanged our original wedding vows again and shared such a lovely emotionally intimate moment that I will cherish for a lifetime. We rode through the woods, did a small creek crossing where the horses got a nice cold drink, and even took photos where we could see 3 places at once!
