Nothing beats this Bandara location Snowflake Donuts! I don't know how they do it, but the just a little crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth inside... and that's just the regular glazed donuts. The others are just as good. The fritters are amazing as well. While traveling for work, someone brought a pink box of donuts in for my team and the next day, whatever was left over went into the trash. Got 4 boxes on Friday from Bandara Snowflake Donuts and Sunday night everyone was still grabbing whatever was left. I was bragging about them for weeks and when we were finally able to get some, everyone agreed they were amazing! The people at that location are amazing as well. I've never had an issue. Amazing doughnuts and boudin kolaches!! We walked over from the RV park behind the doughnut shop super friendly staff and gave us an extra doughnut that slightly broke when packing up the half dozen we bought. A couple of local retired veterans were dining and chatting with us while in line, we thanked them for their service. read more

I guess I'll be the grouch in this bunch of reviews, but I have to ask who ever heard of a doughnut shop that did not have any doughnuts at 6:20 in the morning. Reluctantly bought a kolache instead. Overall just your average donuts shop you find all over the place. Wish I had bought one of the sausage, egg, and cheese croissants to try. Counter help brings the review down because of the abrupt attitude compared to other places in Bandera. read more

The absolute best donuts around!!! The lady this morning was working all by herself managing the drive thru, walk ins, and baking in the back. She was very cheery despite probably being overwhelmed. We only waited in the drive thru about 10 minutes and she threw in some extra donut holes for making us wait a little longer than usual even though it wasn't a big deal. My husband and I had first been to the Snowflakes Dounut Shop on Culebra Rd. in San Antonio and we're totally bummed when it closed. By happenstance we heard of this location about the same distance from our home. We were so excited we went right away. I'm telling you now that if you have ever had one of these donuts you too would drive 20 miles or farther to get one. They are pure heaven on Earth. The family that runs this one were so friendly and the store was above average. I would drive there everyday for just one Dounutbut then I'd weigh to much to keep it up. You have to at least try it once. I don't give out reviews like this unless I honestly mean it. read more

BEST DONUT I HAVE EVER EATEN! We visited Bandera on our 10 road trip and this is by far the best thing that I ate the entire trip. My only regret is only buying one. I didn't eat it until I had already gotten down the road and almost turned around to buy a few dozen more, but we were on a schedule. I plan to visit Bandera, TX (I live in Virginia) just to eat these donuts again. read more

While this place has great doughnuts, be sure to allow extra time in your day if you go here. They don't seem to be in a hurry. That and if you want anything, you have to hope you're not too early or too late, or you take the chance of them not having something "ready" yet, or they're out of it. read more
