We were referred to Snuggle Pup Care by our awesome dog trainer who also used Snuggle Pup Care for her personal dogs (I mean...is there a better recommendation than that?). And originally, we were planning to hire Snuggle Pup Care for just for a month while I recovered from major ankle surgery. But Murphy literally loves Michael (we can't even say Michael's name in the house because Murphy will bounce with excitement). Our beloved catsitter moved out of state so we tried Snuggle Pup for a weeklong trip back in August based on the good reviews. Our cat is pretty low maintenance (auto feeder, no meds), but I just wasn't impressed with the service. Over the course of the week, we had three different people come. Updates and pictures were inconsistent, and one day I'm pretty sure they'd forgotten until I texted (it was after 8pm). When we got back home, the litter box clearly hadn't been cleaned in a few days, the plant hadn't been watered, and the top of the treat bag had just been left on the counter instead of put in the trash. A couple weeks later, our (100% indoor) cat also got fleas, which given the timing were likely transmitted while we were gone. I had to ask for my keys back when we returned, and there was no other follow up from Snuggle Pup. read more

Cassandra was incredibly responsible, prompt, professional, courteous and was always in constant communication with us. Even better, she didn't charge us for the medication because she said it was pretty simple and straight forward (just a couple pills). We were unable to exchange the keys on the day we got back and Cassandra was incredibly accommodating and came by the next day to drop them off free of charge. I loved that they had a GPS tracker that showed us when she went to our place! Also, the system tells you if they were fed, if medicine was given and the mood of the cats. I have trouble leaving my pups with anyone because 1) I am a control freak, 2) I don't have the easiest dogs to take care of, and 3) my pups have some mild separation anxiety issues. The best dogsitting service out there! I can't recommend it enough! My 13-year old pitbull/bullmastiff named Chomper had separation anxiety, so someone had to be with him at all times. I tried all the meds out there for him including the "thunderjacket" but in the end nothing compared to having Cassie and Brenda come over to spend time with him while I was at work. Their scheduling flexibility and great prices were definitely an added bonus to an already great service. I had taken my dog to a Petsmart dog hotel previously and was very unhappy when I found out my dog was not allowed to play with other dogs due to his breed, the fact that their "walks" never take place outside the building, and that my dog was left unattended with no water in his bowl a few times. It was a depressing place for Chomper and managers at that place didn't do anything to rectify the lack of care being provided to pets there. When I hired Cassie and Brenda to dogsit Chomper, I was willing to spend the extra $$ to have them take him out on a real walk in the outside world! It was also no problem for them to administer Chomper's special medication and special diet needs as he was an old man in dog years. One of my favorite perks of their service was definitely the picture texts I would receive from them with updates on how their day/walk/night went. With just two weeks remaining for my travel, I was getting really anxious as nothing was working out and many pet sitters whom I contacted didn't even respond. When I was almost about to cry, Cassandra replied within 2 hours of me filling an inquiry form. She scheduled a free consultation where she and Michael came to our house and took all the time to go through each and every detail of my pup's routine. I scheduled a vacation package which includes multiple visits a day and also got messages and pictures after every visit on how my pup is doing which, keeps you at ease knowing what your baby is doing and that he is in safe hands. A special shout out to Michael for tolerating my pup!! He is an 85lb Labrador who thinks he is still a puppy, jumps on people and is also mouthy. Yes, we are running a little low on manners there, sorry! But, he handled him really well and even mastered getting him into the crate after each visit (which is a huge pain as my pup either refuses to climb the flight of stairs or hides under a table as he knows that it's crate time. LOL!). So, thank you so much Michael for being really patient with him! The best part is the online client portal that they have for scheduling services, to add information about your pup's daily routine and vet, invoicing, real time conversations/chats with the pet sitter who is attending to your pup. I'm very picky when it comes to pet sitting. I've seen sitters slack and not come when they say or not stay as long as you paid for. I have multiple small animals including rabbits, a bird and fish along with my cat. My cat is fed a raw diet, so finding a pet sitter that understands how to handle raw correctly and thaw correctly it a task in and if itself. But now throw in custom bird diet with both seed and fresh and frozen fruits and veggies, plus feeding the rest of the zoo their hay and making sure everyone has fresh water and this is enough work for multiple people. But not only did Snuggle Pup get it done correctly, but they did it on time with an app that shows how long they were there so you can know nothing was lied about. The peace of mind that my zoo was taken care of and I didn't have to board the cat separately allowed me to be comfortable leaving town. I loved getting the daily updates and being able to see exactly what time they came and left is priceless. My cat isn't the type to hide under the bed when strangers arrive, so I was glad I could have them really play with her and give her the attention she craves.
