I am so delighted, grateful, and relieved that we found this perfect place to board our dog when we are away. Our German Shepherd, Scout, is a big and energetic 5 year old female. She boarded other places before... I wish we had found Paw Sweet Paw sooner! The facility is immaculate, the group play dynamic is wonderful, the staff are incredibly kind and attentive, and the website for booking and uploading info and accessing video and photos makes it more modern and intuitive than elsewhere. There is an attached vet clinic, too. The price is fair for the peace of mind and the outstanding service. I am telling all my dog owner friends. And, they take cats, too. This is Scout's home away from home.

I've been a long-time customer here, but today's experience was really disappointing. I took my dog in for a bath, and when they called me to pick him up, I noticed they had completely forgotten to trim his nails. I had to bring him back and remind them. A little while later, they brought him out again and the groomer told me that was the shortest they could cut them because they were "close to the vein." But honestly, the nails were still quite long and nowhere near the vein. Ive posted a pic of my dog's nail after the second trim. I don't think this is really close to the vein. I usually trust this place, but today felt careless and unprofessional. I hope this was just a one-time slip, but as a loyal customer, I expected better attention to detail.

My dog Jameson loves to come to paw sweet paw to see his hoomans and play. We highly recommend PSP for boarding, grooming and daycare. They do it all! We appreciate all the staff for being so flexible and accommodating to their customers and pet owners. The facility is nice and clean and I know Jameson is in good hands when we leave him for the day.

My Experience With Grooming Services at Paw Sweet Paw (This review reflects my personal experience under California's Consumer Review Fairness Act.) I'm sharing this because I believe other pet owners in Irvine and Orange County deserve to know what happened during my recent grooming visits at Paw Sweet Paw. My intention is simply to describe my experience as accurately as possible. Recent Visit - November 24, 2025 After picking up my dog, Suki, from grooming, I noticed he was squinting and keeping one eye partially closed, which was unusual for him. Over the next few hours, I observed that the eye became more irritated and developed some discharge. Because his symptoms were increasing, I took him to Pacific Care Pet Emergency in Irvine. The veterinarian examined him, performed a fluorescein stain test, and documented corneal ulcers in both eyes. The full medical report and invoice were provided to me. Suki was prescribed ophthalmic antibiotic ointment and an Elizabethan collar for several days. This was a stressful situation for both of us, especially because he had not shown any eye issues prior to the grooming appointment. I am not making any assumptions about exactly how the irritation occurred -- I am simply stating the sequence of events and the information given to me by the emergency veterinarian. Previous Visits This experience was part of a pattern I personally observed during earlier grooming appointments: * September 2025: After grooming, I noticed redness and irritation on his face and rear area. * March 2025: The haircut provided did not match the instructions and example photo I had discussed, and I did not receive the usual pickup notification. I emailed the business about both situations. I did not receive a response, so I decided to keep a record of these experiences. Why I'm Posting This Review My goal is not to accuse anyone or assign blame. My goal is to: * Share my personal experience as a pet owner * Describe the concerns I observed * Provide information that may help others make informed decisions * Encourage improved communication and follow-up Pets cannot express when something is wrong, so owners rely heavily on businesses to communicate clearly and respond when concerns are raised. I hope the grooming staff and management take this as constructive feedback. Final Thoughts Suki is part of my family, and seeing him uncomfortable and needing emergency care was difficult. I hope that by sharing this experience factually and respectfully, I can help other pet parents feel more informed.

My 13 year old Cairn Terrier loves the exercise and attention he gets whether it's daycare or boarding when I travel for work. I occasionally log into the cameras to watch and am happy with the care he receives. Even though we only go once or twice a week, the staff all seem to know him and love him which always make a pet parent feel good. When I board him I have the option to bring his own dog bed which some other boarding facilities don't allow so that is a huge plus for me. You can also purchase boarding and daycare packages to cut down the cost. I follow them on Instagram and they follow my pup right back! Keep up the good work Paw Sweet Paw.

I'm so grateful I found this place for my dog Hunter. The staff is so wonderful. They give the best baths and haircuts! I'm so grateful they gave me a discount as I am a victim of the wildfires in Pacific Palisades.. Yes, their website says all vaccines should be up to date for any services. The only thing I think they don't need for grooming is a fecal/giardia test.

Are they willing to board human aggressive dogs?

I highly doubt it. Nobody will be able to feed your dog, walk it, or take it to go to the restroom if it is aggressive towards them.

Dave was super patient and informative and gave us great tips for helping with Knox's energy and excitability. Not only that, he did a great job navigating our other dog, Maddox who was along for the ride and sometimes really interested in Dave's treats! Dave helped us with methods on how to help handle Knox's excitement when new people come into the house and to keep him calm when he sees dogs on walks and some things in-between, providing step-by-step instructions for ways we can work with him to get him to those calm places. We really liked his approach and the kindness he showed our dogs. So many places we looked at used electric collars and it was not something we wanted to do, so we were really happy when we found Dave!

He took time to get to know our family and tailor Hank's training to his personality and needs. He is incredibly knowledgeable and we have seen a huge improvement in our dog's behavior. Hanky is happier and now we know how to support him in order to avoid aggression. We also started taking both of our dogs to EveryDog Daycamp and it has been amazing to have a safe place where our dogs can play with other pups without me worrying something might happen to them. I don't usually leave reviews, but I want to forewarn other pet owners for the safety of their…read moreanimals. My dog contracted kennel cough after staying at this facility. This was my first time ever boarding my dog. I went away for five days for my sister's wedding and spent nearly $1,000 trusting that he'd be well cared for. The next day after picking him up, he began coughing and vomiting foam. I reached out to the facility right away to ask if anything had happened during his stay, but received no response for days--only after multiple follow-ups requesting to speak with a manager. By that night, my dog was crying while vomiting and struggling to breathe, and I knew something was wrong. I had to rush him to the vet for emergency care. Thankfully, he's now being treated and recovering. I asked the business to please cover my dog's vet expenses at the very least and sent them the bill. They have not confirmed or denied they can offer anything which I find very bizarre. In good faith you should offer a discount or cover SOME of these bills to show you care and are sorry this happened to a new customer. What made this even more upsetting was the lack of accountability and communication from the business. They refused to provide answers in writing and insisted I call them instead--after everything that happened, that felt dismissive and unprofessional. The manager even mentioned his own urgent care visit during the conversation, which was completely irrelevant. I also later learned that their contract includes a waiver stating they aren't responsible if your pet becomes ill under their care. That, combined with how my situation was handled, tells me this facility is not safe or accountable. I also have an autoimmune disorder and weakened immune system and felt chest sickness, sore throat and illness after my dog got sick. All of these medical visits and bills were the last thing I wanted when I got home to my normal responsibilities. Constructive feedback-- if you make pet owners sign off on illness they could incur at your business, educate them on what to do should your pet contract it. Half of the problem is being worried, confused and unprepared to handle the issue at hand. Had I known to get an antibiotic at the occurrence of coughing it would have been less scary. Also, refusing to respond by text if you extend that line to your clients, and demanding they call you to receive any kind of answers about what happened at your business is frankly ridiculous. This was an extremely distressing experience for me and my dog, and I hope other owners consider this before trusting their pets here. Bottom line, if I drop my dog off in healthy condition, I want him in good health when I pick him up or I would not choose or recommend your business.
