Spacious, huge building that covers everything a pet owner needs which is super convenient! From boarding to grooming and vet care. Compared to smaller grooming boutiques, this is a big step up! There are multiple packages for grooming, which is what I came for + add ons. Customization of services is always great to have. Also, this is the only place where small dogs are considered to be up to 25 pounds. Other places I've been to will charge significantly more if your dog is just about 15 pounds.

Getting ready to go to summer doggie camp with his new blanket

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Paw Sweet Paw was so disappointing that I feel obligated to share it. We chose Paw Sweet Paw because it markets itself as a luxury pet hotel. We were happy to pay the premium price because we wanted the very best care for our dog, Elvis. Unfortunately, the experience did not match what was promised. We were told we would receive webcam access, daily report cards, and photos throughout his stay. After the first day, I had to call because no one ever sent the webcam link as promised. We received only one daily report during his entire stay, and it wasn't until nearly a week after he had already been there. There were also a couple of days when Elvis never appeared on the webcam, which was especially concerning because he is a timid and anxious dog. I tried calling the facility repeatedly over the course of two days to check on him, and no one answered the phone. When we picked him up, things only got worse. We had paid to have him bathed before going home, yet he was returned to us still wet and smelling bad. We were told, "He didn't like the blow dryer." That is simply not an acceptable excuse. Elvis is professionally groomed every two weeks because my daughter has allergies, so returning him wet and smelly after we specifically paid for grooming was extremely disappointing. The most upsetting part was Elvis himself. He came home withdrawn, unusually depressed, and hoarse. We were so concerned about his condition that we took him to the veterinarian to make sure he was okay. To add to our disappointment, we had packed a brand-new blanket hoping it would help him feel more comfortable during his stay. When we unpacked his belongings at home, the blanket was still sealed in its original packaging. It had never even been opened. We chose Paw Sweet Paw because we believed the premium price meant premium care. Instead, we experienced poor communication, services that were not delivered as advertised, and a dog who came home in a condition that left us worried enough to seek veterinary care. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. Pet owners trust boarding facilities with beloved members of their family, and that trust should never be taken lightly.

If you want half-effort, subpar care for your feline - go here. The staff don't even have company uniforms so you can tell image is unimportant. The sign out front is peeling so that tells you all you need to know about their attention to detail. They say feline reports with photos get sent daily - they don't. For a 5 night stay, I got one report on my cat. Food containers you provide for your cat are just open every time they're returned and bugs will fly out - disgusting. The kitty cat yard has a flickering overhead light and the staff just say they'll tell their supervisor about it - they clearly don't. Too much money for garbage service, I won't be a returning customer.

Amazing experience! The staff was incredibly professional and handled my pet with so much care. My fur baby looks and smells fantastic. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch grooming!"

I am so delighted, grateful, and relieved that we found this perfect place to board our dog when we are away. Our German Shepherd, Scout, is a big and energetic 5 year old female. She boarded other places before... I wish we had found Paw Sweet Paw sooner! The facility is immaculate, the group play dynamic is wonderful, the staff are incredibly kind and attentive, and the website for booking and uploading info and accessing video and photos makes it more modern and intuitive than elsewhere. There is an attached vet clinic, too. The price is fair for the peace of mind and the outstanding service. I am telling all my dog owner friends. And, they take cats, too. This is Scout's home away from home.

I brought Lucy in for a nail trim. Kevin did a great job! We always have a great experience here.

My dog's nail after the re-do of the nail trim
    Aniki Y.

I've been a long-time customer here, but today's experience was really disappointing. I took my dog in for a bath, and when they called me to pick him up, I noticed they had completely forgotten to trim his nails. I had to bring him back and remind them. A little while later, they brought him out again and the groomer told me that was the shortest they could cut them because they were "close to the vein." But honestly, the nails were still quite long and nowhere near the vein. Ive posted a pic of my dog's nail after the second trim. I don't think this is really close to the vein. I usually trust this place, but today felt careless and unprofessional. I hope this was just a one-time slip, but as a loyal customer, I expected better attention to detail.

Blue and Biscuit had a great vet check up! Blue just had her routine vet checkup and Biscuit had her second round of shots. The staff is super friendly and I've been going here for years.

We love getting update photos and see how much fun he is having.

My dog Jameson loves to come to paw sweet paw to see his hoomans and play. We highly recommend PSP for boarding, grooming and daycare. They do it all! We appreciate all the staff for being so flexible and accommodating to their customers and pet owners. The facility is nice and clean and I know Jameson is in good hands when we leave him for the day.

My Experience With Grooming Services at Paw Sweet Paw (This review reflects my personal experience under California's Consumer Review Fairness Act.) I'm sharing this because I believe other pet owners in Irvine and Orange County deserve to know what happened during my recent grooming visits at Paw Sweet Paw. My intention is simply to describe my experience as accurately as possible. Recent Visit - November 24, 2025 After picking up my dog, Suki, from grooming, I noticed he was squinting and keeping one eye partially closed, which was unusual for him. Over the next few hours, I observed that the eye became more irritated and developed some discharge. Because his symptoms were increasing, I took him to Pacific Care Pet Emergency in Irvine. The veterinarian examined him, performed a fluorescein stain test, and documented corneal ulcers in both eyes. The full medical report and invoice were provided to me. Suki was prescribed ophthalmic antibiotic ointment and an Elizabethan collar for several days. This was a stressful situation for both of us, especially because he had not shown any eye issues prior to the grooming appointment. I am not making any assumptions about exactly how the irritation occurred -- I am simply stating the sequence of events and the information given to me by the emergency veterinarian. Previous Visits This experience was part of a pattern I personally observed during earlier grooming appointments: * September 2025: After grooming, I noticed redness and irritation on his face and rear area. * March 2025: The haircut provided did not match the instructions and example photo I had discussed, and I did not receive the usual pickup notification. I emailed the business about both situations. I did not receive a response, so I decided to keep a record of these experiences. Why I'm Posting This Review My goal is not to accuse anyone or assign blame. My goal is to: * Share my personal experience as a pet owner * Describe the concerns I observed * Provide information that may help others make informed decisions * Encourage improved communication and follow-up Pets cannot express when something is wrong, so owners rely heavily on businesses to communicate clearly and respond when concerns are raised. I hope the grooming staff and management take this as constructive feedback. Final Thoughts Suki is part of my family, and seeing him uncomfortable and needing emergency care was difficult. I hope that by sharing this experience factually and respectfully, I can help other pet parents feel more informed.

This is what Bo looks like after a fun day at Paw Sweet Paw!

My 13 year old Cairn Terrier loves the exercise and attention he gets whether it's daycare or boarding when I travel for work. I occasionally log into the cameras to watch and am happy with the care he receives. Even though we only go once or twice a week, the staff all seem to know him and love him which always make a pet parent feel good. When I board him I have the option to bring his own dog bed which some other boarding facilities don't allow so that is a huge plus for me. You can also purchase boarding and daycare packages to cut down the cost. I follow them on Instagram and they follow my pup right back! Keep up the good work Paw Sweet Paw.

Dave is always available for our questions and follow ups, and he sends over progress notes and photos every day from training sessions. We also would ask him about problem behavior such as counter surfing or jumping up on people to greet, and Dave would target those specific behaviors as well. We also appreciated how fast and quickly they acted on our puppy swallowing something he shouldn't have, and immediately gave him some hydrogen peroxide to get him to throw it up, which saved us from extremely expensive and likely traumatic vet visits and possible surgery. Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

When I signed up, I was told the $100 promotion gave me "30 days of free daycare." What they failed to explain was that it meant 30 consecutive days, not 30 days of use. That's intentionally unclear and feels deceptive and shady. They also told me my dog was there for a "half day," about three -- when she was actually there for for about 8 hours. If they can't even track how long a dog is in their care, how can I trust the care provided. My dog left with a severe ear infection and now a has a very noticeable head tilt. When I called to ask about her care, the receptionist had no information whatsoever and even tried to downplay the situation. She didn't know who watched my dog, didn't know whether she was around water, didn't know anything about her condition, and even mentioned the manager had checked me out and left an open invoice on her account. Then proceeded to tell me I had a $45 outstanding fee, which was completely wrong as I had paid that when I picked up my dog. They also lost my dog's collar and told me they "never had it" because they make owners remove collars. But the moment I asked about reimbursement for a new collar and tag, they suddenly found it. That alone tells me everything I need to know about their honesty. And I'm not the only one dealing with problems. My friend -- the one who originally recommended this place -- has had her dog come home with kennel cough and severe issues that have lead to consistent vomiting and diarrhea from Smart Park. Clearly, they are not monitoring pets properly or maintaining a healthy environment. The lack of communication, awareness, honesty, and basic competence is unacceptable. I left feeling frustrated, worried, and completely unsupported. I would never recommend Smart Park to anyone who actually cares about their dog's safety.
