We re-insulated the exterior walls too. The project was about 16 weeks long, maybe 2 weeks longer than the original estimate but that was all due to sub-contractor timing. Coffer Contracting worked to keep things on track and worked around the subs. The kitchen is beautiful the attention to detail is very well executed. There were very few changes to the original project and they were all at my request. Like adding the insulation to the project. Coffer was fair on the quotes for the changes. They have a reliable and trustworthy crew and we were very comfortable letting them work when we were home or gone. We took a little vacation during the heaviest demolition. They worked hard to control the dust and keep things clean. The transformation is so amazing that we have a hard time remembering what the old kitchen looks like. Coffer Contracting did the following work - demolition, rough carpentry, management of subs for electrical, plumbing, heating, and drywall. They hung the cabinets, doors installed the shower stall and did all the finish trim on the cabinets. I had a separate contractor do the floors because they were my friends. I would hire them again to do more work. But, I think I will take a rest for a while.

There is a certain amount of panic that sets in when the power goes out and your car is trapped in…read morethe garage. Some of you might be thinking, "Why not just disengage your garage door opener from the door, and open the damn thing manually?" And that's a great idea. However, it requires that the original installation was done properly. In my case... it was not. Thus the panic. My wife said that I would never be able to get the garage door fixed within the day, especially since we were in the midst of a city wide power outage. Thanks to the Yelp App and the mobile internet, I was able to find A2DS. Indeed, they were scheduling service calls a few days out, but when I explained my predicament, they were able to squeeze me in with an emergency visit within a few hours! The door did not get fixed that day, but the technician was able to work enough magic so I could free my car from its tomb. Then we were able to schedule a follow up visit to actually get the thing fixed. I wasn't even charged for the call. My heroes! As luck would have it, on my long list of to do items, was installing a new opener for the second garage door. So I was able to take care of that as well on the follow up appointment. The A2DS installation crew came as expected, made short work of the project, asked for my input when needed, and were able to complete the job for less than the originally estimated price! Now I have two working, modern, garage doors. Both are programmed into each opener, and I have new openers for each car. Plus there is a spiff new keypad on the side of the house, so I can open and close the doors manually. This all makes me more excited and happy than I had ever imagined! Oh yeah. There was one teeny tiny problem with the button inside the garage to open the old door. But after one quick call, and the problem was taken care of the following day. I recommend this company whole heartedly and without reservation. If you need a garage door, or a repair, give 'em a call.

I called several places but finally settled on this one and hoped for the best. Well, here are the reasons I would call them again in the future: 1. An actual knowledgeable person at the site answers your call. Not just an answering service who schedules a house visit but cannot give one a firm estimate on the phone. 2. A company that has an actual listed local physical location. 3. A company that is listed as an authorized installer by the manufacturer. 4. Very good customer reviews. 5. A detailed quote that enumerated the cost of each part should it have to be replaced. 6. I was texted the ETA of the repair person along with his photo. 7. ETA and cost was as quoted. 8. The repair person did not try to upsale me more than what was need to do the repair. I was so satisfied I asked them to also replace the torsion spring of my other garage door as preventive maintenance since both doors probably had been installed at the same time.

They backed up too far towards garage and dented the gutter above my garage in two places about 18 -24 inches apart . It also dislodged the downspout on left of garage. The gutter had to be replaced; it cost me time to find a company and 385 dollars for install of a new gutter. At first I thought it was an Amazon truck that was at fault - the height was right. But then I looked at the photos and the placement of the dents. As soon as I saw the Wolverine Glass truck again on 11/8 (my installation was delayed) with metal stuff/ladders sticking out about a foot from the back end of the truck, I knew based on my photos that they had done it. Their demeanor with me was also very different from the first time they were here - they knew I knew. I am owed an apology - and the company's insurance should pay for the 385. In addition, the customer service was below par. They never did courtesy calls to confirm appointments; I always had to call them to confirm. And at the end, I did not even receive a thank you - dirt on shower floor and an invoice via email for the last 50% of the bill. I do not recommend them.

The communication and scheduling was lacking, so we were a little frustrated, but it didn't prepare us for the ordeal we were going to be dealing with. We live in an old house, 1920's. My husband expressed this many times, that appropriate measures would have to be taken as we had lead in our old windows and trim. I heard him over the phone as well as in person and he was assured they would take the steps necessary. The day the windows were to be replaced, my kids and I left the house. Two windows were in our daughters room, the other in our guest bedroom. One window was oriented the wrong way and still installed. The worst part was, after removing the old windows, the workers took leaf blowers out to blow debris out into the yard below and all over the rooms. My husband ran upstairs and yelled at them to stop, that once again, there was lead paint involved. They stopped and cleaned up, but not well enough. My husband wiped everything down afterwards, not trusting it was cleaned properly. A few months later, my daughter received test results showing elevated levels of lead in her blood. It was quick and not a single other person in our family had any detectable levels. I was livid. I'm still livid. I don't care that one of our windows is wrong or that it took forever to arrange communication. I'm livid that lead safe practices weren't followed as promised and my child had to pay for it. You can't put a price on that. Thankfully, she's grown, and the situation is under control now, but if you have an old house, I would absolutely not recommend this company. To the owner, if your business gives homeowners your word that things will be done safely and following safe standards, you need to follow through. Safety should be top priority. This could have had a very poor outcome.

Had Mike come out to cover up a window…read more Honestly the thought of getting rid of a window never crossed my mind and we initially thought we would would move our window from one wall to another to open up the living room space since we have a living room layout that is a bit awkward. He came in with the idea of just covering up the window (especially since a window can be installed later if we wanted). Instead of making it a bigger profit job he focused on what is best for the layout even if it meant the job was smaller. The conversations with Mike have been very thought provoking and really made me focus on what is best for us rather than him just doing what I thought we wanted. We asked about a skylight for the bathroom since both our bathrooms don't have windows and he said he wouldn't as its the number one cause of leaks so he once again showed that he cared to make sure we are after peace of mind. So we ended up just covering up one window to move our entertainment center. He hired a drywall contractor (one with 42 years of experience) to make sure the wall looked seamless. Mike said you can do most of the job yourself pretty easy but the Dry Wall part is a work of art and it showed. I had a unique idea that since this was an exterior wall I wanted to build a PVC shoot for cabling for future proofing a TV hanging on the wall in case we had to change cables. The drywall contractor made it look so clean. Initially it was a 1 day drywall job but because it was cold the mud wouldn't set in time so they came back the following day to make sure it was done right. Truly couldn't be happier with the quality of labor. Mike's scheduling might be a little random at times but rest assured the quality is superb.

While the slider itself is amazing, the best part of the investment was the attention to detail and care Mike had for install- I have a 1920s home with original wood trim work, but in the addition where the slider is located, they put up standard white 80s trim. My plan has been to transition the addition over to the same feel as the rest of the house, so Mike custom stained the one I ordered to match what was already in the house, then took the time to trim it out in the same Craftsman style for a cohesive look. Install day was super easy, the team made sure everything stayed clean, and dealt with some surprises and challenges with the uneven walls of an old home. This is someone you can trust and will make sure they care for your own home like it's their own. When it's time for new windows, I'll absolutely have them come back out.
