Low key, casual spot but the food is anything but low key! The chicken is amazingly prepared, full of flavor and the perfect crispness. Also their crab Rangoon is some of the best I've had. Perfectly stuffed and not over cooked as so many local places do. I've had so much bad crab Rangoon locally that's too crispy, not enough stuffing or very low quality stuffing but this place gets it done right! I was slightly reluctant to try it since I'm new to the area and not sure what a Korean fried chicken place is doing in this strip mall, but I was pleasantly surprised. The friend chicken is crispy, golden and delicious. However, charging 3$ for pickled daikon and 3$ for a seaweed salad is a bit steep. I also tried the bulgogi bowl and was not a fan. The rice tasted and has the texture of uncle Ben's and the house sauce/ their version of yum yum what way to much fish sauce for me. Maybe some people like that. I took a few bites and ate the salad aka chopped romaine that was in the bowl. Will not order again but I'll get the fried chicken. Driven by this place so many times- I was super excited when I found out it is a Korean restaurant. Fast casual, didn't take very long to get our meals. Maybe 10 minutes total for the 5 of us. We ordered a Mac n chiz for the little bit they ran out, they were able to substitute it with a smaller portion of chicken bites and threw in a kimchi. Tried out the mango smoothie and added in some boba , and my little had a Korean lychee drink. Overall, we really enjoyed the flavors of the food. I finally tasted that yummy fried chicken from the Korean Dramas I watch on TV! I was so happy when my hubby came home with the bulgogi tacos, bulgogi salad and that fried chicken!!! The crunch and seasoning on that fried chicken had a hint of sweetness and I was surprised by the taste but it was delicious! We ordered the 20 piece the second time around since we devoured the first order of 10 so quickly. I keep on forgetting to take pictures since the food is so yummy! literally just came back from no So-Ju Chikn, i will start by saying the bros that own this place have a noodle bar on New Haven that is absolutely the best. We were hoping for the same at So-Ju Chikn but was disappointed, the drumsticks were perfectly korean-style cooked, but the sauce was too salty and too sweet, i still have the salty taste in my mouth. Sauce was Spicy Garlic Soy, could not taste anything spicy. It was still good, i scarfed two down quickly. wife had the tenders, they were a great size, they must pound the breasts into that size. Also yummy but again, too salty and too sweet. we ate two tenders and will make bokum bop out of the take home leftovers. The kimchi was salted and covered in weak Gochujang. Boring. They should purchase authentic kimchi from us. Restaurant need more anime art and some K-Pop on screen. How about some employees familiar with korean food?? Was super excited to see a Korean restaurant near my job. I ordered 2 chicken tenders (honey sriracha) and onion rings using grubhub. After waiting 30 minutes, I got a notification that my order was ready. I walked in and the employee didn't see my order. When I showed her my confirmation, she told me they no longer accept orders from grubhub. They acknowledged that I paid, apologized and offered to get my food done quickly lo which I appreciated. The chicken was delicious and the skin was light and crispy and the sauce was very good. The one downside is that my onion rings were completely burned. Make it a combo. They do not top the fries, as to i wanted to add Kimchi so i got it on the side. For a Sunday, it was quite and thank God, cause them wings came out quick and fresh and i wanted to enjoy them in peace and not be judged lol. That crunch on the Korean fried chicken is something you have to partake right in the restaurant. This sauce was so good and not spicy at all. Discovered So-Ju Chikn by chance when driving past it one day. After reading the reviews, decided to give it a try. Wow is all I can say. I ordered the tenders with garlic sauce, chicken sandwich with red sauce and wings with garlic sauce. Everything was gooey, sticky, finger-licking fantastic! We have been here three times now so I'm sure that it wasn't a fluke that I was blown away my first trip. We ate there last night I had the Bulgogi bowl with a perfect egg and the tastiest little pickled accompaniments and kimchi..the kids had their usual jumbo sized chicken fingers and coleslaw that they love.. they're super crunchy and I love the garlic soy. It should also be noted that no less than 3 of the owners or cooks came to our table and make sure we were happy with our food, didn't need anything, etc. it was a wonderful experience and I hope they do well. We decided to try a new restaurant and I must say that it didn't disappoint me. We both had the bulgogi bowl. To me the bulgogi was a not as sweet as I remember but it was cooked perfectly. There were pickled radishes included that provided the sweetness that I expected for the bulgogi. The kimchi that accompanied the bulgogi was perfectly seasoned. I also ordered the fried chicken wings and the heat level was spot on for my taste buds. Not too hot but spicy enough to still taste my food.
