So I called spoke to Jen who was very sweet on the phone and said she would check my insurance to make sure I was good to go. Made my appointment a couple of days later. I showed up to the office with my 6yr old son and immediately was greeted by friendly smiling faces. Dr.So is a very cool easy going Doc. The rest of the staff was also great and was very helpful when it came to breaking down what my insurance would cover and other costs. They were very patient and helpful when it came to ordering my frames as I tend to be indecisive. Overall it was a great experience and I felt really well taken care of. All the hype is true. This is the most professional and welcoming optometrist I've ever been to. The staff is amazing, they work with you to minimize all your costs and show you every penny of where the money would go based on how to your insurance is allocated and any costs that you have to handle yourself. I've never waited more than 5 minutes for anything at the office and they're incredibly prompt on informing you when your new glasses have arrived. Amazing team, customer service is on point. I called to make an appointment and was not too sure how the insurance works. The team in the office really helped me out. Not to mention Philip is amazing answered all my questions was extremely helpful. Mind you I haven't been to the eye Dr since I was a kid. My brother had told me that he had came a yr ago to Dr. So and was really pleased with the services. So when my glasses lenses were super scratched I thought.....time for new lenses!!! I went in person to talk with the receptionist about whether my insurance was accepted, scheduling an appointment, and of course pricing. She was super nice, informative, and able to quickly schedule me. When I went in for my appointment I wore my contacts because I wanted to get the prescription checked. Glad I did because apparently my last optometrist srsly screwed up on my script. Dr. So was so amazing. He explained to me WHY I felt my script for contacts was wrong, he explained the type of astigmatism that I have, how my contacts should be, he spent careful amount of time to prefect my glasses script too. I left the consultation feeling MORE informed about my eyes than I have ever been in 15yrs of wearing glasses. When I returned a week later for a follow up, again Dr. So was so nice and never making me feel like he was rushing to get to the next person. Philip helped with the purchase of my glasses. Omg, he's such an awesome guy. Uber friendly which just makes you smile. He made sure I knew what I was paying for, pricing, insurance coverage, total cost. He too was informative about pricing and product. I ended up purchasing some new glasses I prefer over my Ray Bans. Overall amazing experience. Dr. So and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. So takes his time to explain your eye condition and will not simply just prescribe you a lens with a stronger prescription just to get you out the door. He is thorough in his examinations and makes an effort to connect and engage with his patients. I enjoy having a doctor who has passion in what he does. Phillip is also really amazing. Both he and the office staff are very patient when assisting you in picking the right frames. I really appreciate how they give me their honest and friendly opinion when I ask how a frame looks on me. They genuinely want you to look your best and it shows! I also like how fast the turnaround time is to get new frames and lenses done. You should check out the their amazing selection of frames, especially the huge variety of Asian-fit glasses for people with a lower nose bridge such as myself. Having your glasses slip while you're studying is never fun. All the glasses I've gotten from here have outlasted multiple prescriptions because they're all high quality so only my lens gets changed when my prescription has worsened. But honestly, my prescription has been been a lot more stable as a patient of Dr. So's than with previous optometrists I've had...maybe it's just me, or that he's just great at what he does.
