The BEST! I have been using Soapbox products for years. The soap and especially tallow butter is amazing, and it keeps getting better and better. When my daughter had skin issues as a baby (15 years ago) it was Ginger that told me to try her tallow butter and it was the only product that worked. I tried everything that the doctors recommended at the time and nothing worked, it was just getting worst. Tallow butter cleared it all up. I personally have been using the tallow butter as the only face cream for years and I get so many compliments on how beautiful my skin looks. What can I say about the soaps? They are the best! Even though the space is really small, I didn't feel pressured to buy anything by the proximity of the helpful shopkeeper. We spent about twenty minutes perusing the wares and sniffing about twenty different soaps (orange, lavender, lemongrass, patchouli... the list goes on and on!). We eventually settled on three different soaps, and I was most excited to try the frankincense-scented soap that I found hiding behind an oatmeal soap bar. The soap bars are so detailed, individually crafted, and visually appealing that it is difficult to make a choice. The shop keeper recommended one of the best sellers, Lemongrass & Oatmeal Soap. My bag smelled amazing for the rest of the trip. I waited to use the soap before writing this review. I've tried homemade soap in the past and some tend leave a dry sensation on your body, this soap did not, which I'm happy about. If you're like me, the only time you've ever used bar soap in your life is at cheap motels and your grandmother's house. I had never understood why anybody would choose to use it over body wash until I met SoapBox. Seriously, the bar soap here is unbelievable. I'll never go back to the body wash life. I have been to Soap box probably a dozen times in the past 7 months and I leave with beautiful, aromatic products every time. I visited the first time for some cleaning supplies that don't reek of chemicals and give me a headache. I bought Thieves! Disinfecting spray, which is magical (I say this because it is a great mosquito repellant, floor cleaner, cloth refresher and disinfectant!), and the delicate scrubbing powder, which goes a long way. I also got some shaving soap that has red clay in it, which is very soothing on my skin, I wish I could remember what it's called so you could ask for it by name. The second time I went in I was looking for some soap for eczema/really dry skin. Mia was behind the counter that day and gave me tons of advice for eczema and even some notes. Though they didn't have the kind of soap I set out to get I was sent home with a free sample. Now I'm going back to restock my thieves and shaving soap about once a month! love the soaps that I have used so far! My favorite is is the loofah. It exfoliated so well my skin looked ten years younger. Maybe I had ten years of exfoliation accumulated, but it did the job. I knew I had to move here after I walked into this place. it was a hot summer eve, and there was a sign on south pointing to this locale. I could smell it from there. It was meant to be. I love the products, the soap is amazing. It literally permeates throughout my entire apartment whenever I open one of the tiny sink bars and spread them around every water spout imaginable. I want to have more body surface to wash so I can use up the bars faster and get to try another one. The grapefruit cream is not my cup of tea, I find it too fluid and sticky for my taste. I like moisturizers either light and whipped or soft and buttery. I suggest you try the smaller sizes first, like I did, and this way you can find the one you like the most. Or you could take advantage of her great testers and slather yourself in all scents imaginable. How they all work together without making you smell like you fell into a puddle of perfumes I will never know, but what happens in this tiny shop with the loveliest of owners is pure sorcery. read more

I couldn't possibly have anything better to say about this place. I pass by it all the time on my way home from work (late), and it has just closed. It smells absolutely amazing from outside the shop. My sisters and I went in on my birthday last weekend, I couldn't be more impressed by everything! I bought a sea sponge, face toner, and lavendar soap with a sea sponge in it. I don't think I'll ever have to buy another loofa again, the sea sponge is amazing! However she makes her soap, the recipe is perfect! I work in an ICU with a lot of bodily fluids so I want something a little "heartier", without drying my skin out at the same time. I've never felt as clean and amazing after getting out of a shower as I have with the lavender soap and sea sponge! The face toner has been a game changer for me as well. It's all natural ingredients. Before I bought it, she said "Did you try it first? Because there's apple cider vinegar in it, so it smells at first." The smell goes away in minutes, and it's SO effective. She is an honest, hard working shop owner who makes everything herself. Everything is incredibly reasonably priced and all natural! Can you ask for anything more in a business? I think not. Not to mention she had up to date technology as far as advertising and paying. For those 3 items I bought, it was under $25, and they are some of the best products I've ever used. I will be visiting her regularly for sure. I look forward to trying her other products!
