Well I guess SoBol is becoming a weekly thing for me....this time it was a new location. The locations seem pretty similar, which is very nice. This one had a good amount of space and seating outdoors. They had a good selection of bottled drinks including the Celsius pre-workout and Recess (CBD) cans. The staff was friendly. Today they were only accepting CASH OR VENMO, glad they had the second option! I got the pitaya smootie, it was ready very quickly and tastes perfect. So amazing. Todays my birthday so I was claiming the free birthday bowl I ordered for pick up asap. Store hours claim to be 8 am they weren't open ... 8:10 am still wasn't open . I have work in the morning can't just wait till someone decides to show up. So I called left a voicemail to not make it because I had to go. Sad I wanted my birthday bowl. If they don't open at 8 am they should change it on every platform and the app. So now I have no bowl and I was late to work. :( Update: The owner was kind enough to personally call me and reach out to me. I am so disappointed with the acai bowl I just picked up. I ordered online and said ASAP. Drove from Long Beach Walgreens to Sobol- 7 min drive and come home with a cold liquid soup! Not only that but it was not put together like they normally do- granola was only on bottom, I said no strawberries so I got mango? Why? I would of came back but I did not- there was no parking when I got there. Just wanted owner to know. Please respond! Went back this past Sunday and back to the best! It was the absolute best Acai bowl ever! Perfectly proportion fruit, granola and acai! Only thing I would suggest is when someone walks in the store; acknowledge them!!!! Say hi! I went to Sobol today with a friend and we ordered açaí bowls. The açaí seemed a little strange in taste and I later thought the açaí wasn't as red as normal, a bit darker than that but the strange taste was over powered by the fruit. A few hours later we began to feel sick, both of us had very bad stomach reaction. Obviously I'm very disappointed in this Sobol as I feel the açaí was most likely bad or had turned which really hit home!! read more

Love going to this place on the weekends with my boyfriend. They open early so it's perfect for breakfast. They are generous with the toppings (favorite part) and the service is super quick. I'm saddened to hear that people received bad service because my husband and I stopped in BUT was met with TOP NOTCH service. There were two gentleman working today (older guy and younger guy). Awesome Acai bowls for a good price. Acai bowls are relatively expensive anywhere you go but we were surprised that we paid around $16 for the largest Acai Bowl and an Iced Coffee. Let me start by saying they would get 0 stars if I could. I have been a loyal customer at this place since it has opened in Long Beach. Unfortunately there were two acai bowl places that opened up at the same exact time 2 stores down from each other not knowing because there were different landlords. This fuels a lot of competition and obviously one will be going out of business because Long Beach does in the winter. I am not giving this place one star because the freshness of the food, but today I went in there ordered a regular bowl for my husband and a kids size for myself. There are a lot of kids working there so sometimes the bowl is made inconsistently with not a lot of acai and too much granola. So today it was totally off and not proportioned so my husband noticed before me and asked if there was any way they can put a little extra acai in top. The young associate got all disheveled and ran to her manager for help. Not sure why it was a simple question yes or no? But anyway her manager starts yelling from the manager NO it is a measured scoop for the kids size tell her order a regular (which is not the case I order kids size all the time is just wasn't made proportionately). So she finally comes over and in an argumentative tone tells me she can't give me a little extra. My husband responds that's ridiculous we come here everyday for breakfast since it is opened and she nastily cuts him off and tells us she's never seen us a day in her life. She then followed her statement by telling us to next time go next door at the other acai place. I will finish this review with shock because it's hard enough for small businesses to stay alive in Long Beach but the lack of customer service and low class they have running that place to argue with customers and tell them to use their competitors is sick. I will never go there again I will make sure I advise all flint friends and family not to eat there. Long Beach has many options with respectful staff I don't need to support unprofessional people. BTW two people in the store when this happened left and said it would be the last time they will be eating there and will go next door from now on. Hopefully this establishment can learn and hire people who have common sense and some sort of customer service. read more

These Acai places are becoming so popular. This is actually a really good place. I got a regular acai bowl with nut free granola. The first thing they want to know is if it's an allergy or preference. If it's an allergy. They make your bowl in the back away from any possibly contamination. They do such a great job, and they're delicious. Add some cookie butter or Nutella, and it's perfect! read more

As a loyal customer to sobol Long Beach , the treatment we received today was far from the work ethic that I know Sobol encourages. After ordering a regular bowl with peanut butter, we got into the car and noticed there was no peanut butter on the bowl. Naturally my girlfriend went back into the store to get the peanut butter added, but when she said something to the girl she was met with an attitude and basically a hissy fit as if her conversation was interrupted behind the counter. She was also met with back talk that she didn't order the peanut butter. The girl behind the counter took the bowl and sloppily added the peanut butter on top and closed up the container. Upon opening the container at home, all the fruit and granola came out on the top attached to the peanut butter. This isn't how they usually pack their bowls. We will continue to go to Sobol as normally it is a pleasant experience and orders are handled with ease. There is usually a staff there that isn't annoyed when people come in and want to support local business. Everyone makes mistakes, however when they are handled in a certain manner it can turn people off. I hope the staff that was there early today reads this and can take this as a learning experience. read more

This place definitely has good acai and pitaya bowls, but their no substitution "rule" is what gives this review two stars. I come here a few times a week, but I just recently started ordering the pitaya bowl. Instead of the pineapples kiwi and other fruits they put on it I prefer strawberry and banana and blueberries that come with an acai bowl. It took me a few days to realize that they were charging me for these toppings because they don't do substitutions. I refuse to pay extra for wanting the original acai bowl toppings on a pitaya bowl when I go there almost daily. Such bad customer service! read more

This is normally our go to place on weekends for the green-bowls with excellent service but this morning the cashier mistakenly took the order as an acai bowl instead of a green bowl as we ordered. We weren't provided a receipt so we thought our green bowls were being made. Long story short , we received acai instead of green, mentioned the error , and were told thats what we ordered.
