Sometimes other açaí bowls from other places are watery when delivered, but this bowl was perfect in consistency. I dislike when places that sell açaí pack all the ingredients on the top. I stopped in to get an acai bowl for dinner. The place is brand new and smells like wood. It's super clean. I ordered a regular. The acai bowl is topped with banana, strawberries, blueberries, granola, coconut, and honey. The have add ins that are extra like seeds and nut butters. I added hemp seeds to mine. I ordered a regular size. The regular is a filling size for a meal. It was one of the best bowls I had. I liked the granola on the bottom. It was a nice touch. My first time eating an acai bowl and I must say, I'm quite impressed. The staff at SoBol was very knowledgeable about their products and guided me step-by-step in creating my own bowl. They had their own standard mix on the menu topped with banana, strawberries, blueberries, granola, coconut and honey. I ordered a regular bowl (medium size) and I subbed out strawberries for mango (extra $1.05) for my bowl. Total for my bowl came out to $8 and change, but it was very worth it. Quite tasty and I was actually surprised at how filling it was! And if you wanted a different base other than acai, they have dragon fruit! (pitaya) I could see one drawback and it's that the acai, along with all the fruit toppings and honey has a lot of sugar. Depending on what size and mixture you choose, all that sugar can add up to as much as a bottle of soda. :O Therefore, I don't see how someone can eat acai bowls very often, more likely for a healthy snack every once in a while. read more

I love Sobol and have never been to this location. It was okay. I got a classic acai bowl with everything on it. Most of the strawberries weren't fresh unfortunately. I'm thinking that they had been frozen and thawed out. They were squishy and tasted bad. I was disappointed because every time I have gone to Sobol in my town the fruit is perfectly fresh. The rest of the bowl was okay. The smoothie part was frozen with big ice crystals in the middle which was weird. I'm wondering if they premake them, freeze them, and then let them sit out to thaw. It includes a generous amount of granola (which has 2 layers) strawberries, bananas, blueberries, coconut shavings, and honey. I usually add a scoop of peanut butter or nutella which is extra. I've been meaning to check this place out for a while and finally got the chance to. I've tried both the acai bowl and the pitaya bowl. Both are blended for each order individually like they do it in the acai places in the city as opposed to blending a big batch like a lot of Long Island places do, which is way better because the consistancy of the blends is creamy and smoothie-like, not icy! The granola is handmade and delicious. The pitaya bowl was actually the first I've seen on Long Island and really nice. It is a sweeter, more tropical version of the acai. I got a modified one with added banana and blueberry and they put my bowl in the large sized cup so the fruit wouldn't get squished. I've also tried their regular acai bowl. The base is delicious and the fruit is very fresh. This is definitely one of the better acai bowl places in the area. I only wish they had more options for bases, like a peanut butter acai base or a green smoothie (avocado, kale, spinach!) base. read more

This SoBol compared to the other locations is terrible. The bowls taste so bad, I don't know if it's the water or what. Also, they don't have the large menu like other SoBol locations. They only have bowls and smoothies. Others have salads, quesadillas, etc. Hate leaving bad reviews but that's what Yelp is here for , the good and bad. read more

I don't give five stars often but at the moment I have to give it up to this place. It's located right on Merrick Road in The Incorporated Village of Massapequa Park. There is street parking in the front as well as a municipal lot in the rear. The parking is all free but there are signs everywhere! All different signs and they are enforced. They have a lot of people to enforce the parking regulations so don't mess around. You'll food will be very expensive if you don't follow the signs! The outside front facade is nice with wood and a bright colorful sign. They even have benches in the front for you to sit on and enjoy the weather if it's nice out. Inside they have the same wood tones feel and it's nice and clean. The staff is really friendly and the bathroom is very clean as well. The bowls are always good but the açaí could use a little more and a little less freezer burn. Overall a good bowl and good service. read more

Great place to go to once in a while - couldn't imagine eating this healthy daily, but to each their own. The staff here are very welcoming and knowledgeable. I told them I've never had an açaí bowl before and they pretty much gave me a bunch of suggestions. Also, they were able to accommodate my allergies with a nut free granola as opposed to their normal granola with cashews and almonds. I took them up on their suggestion to add cookie butter on top and I'm glad I did. The whole bowl was delicious and because there's no dairy, it didn't leave me bloated. So I feel I need to write a review because something strange is going on at that store.I picked up a few smoothies at the store and when I went to pay they told me the register wasn't working and I had to pay for my stuff next store at the other place.I found this strange but they assured me that it's ok the owners had both location.So I proceeded to go though an open door that connects both locations and pay.They gave me a piece of paper with the amount on it and when I questioned the amount they said it was with tax but when I went to the register they wanted cash which I did not have and proceeded to get angry with me paying with a credit card and they never put it though the register so I said I need a receipt for my boss that was paying and they wrote out another piece of paper with the amount but no tax on that.I questioned this whole process to the owner Steve and he got very angry and I did not want to argue.When I showed this to my boss he was angry and thought it was so strange that a business would write out a receipt and not have something legitimat.We will never go back again.Customer beware!!! read more

Best Acai EVER! The açaí: one word - AWESOME. Fruit is super fresh, and the acai (I get it blended with almond milk) is perfect. Guarantee when you walk in here someone is always cutting the fruits fresh. The staff: These guys are ALWAYS super nice. I walk in with an order that requires making it differently (almond milk, Pb, etc) and the guys there have no qualms about it! I've been to other places and have asked the same and was told that was not possible. The folks here go to the schools in Massapequa and are from the Massapequa community - can't beat that!! My little one knows many of them by name at this point. Location: Off Merrick Rd so it's pretty easy to pull over in the front or park in the back lot and use their back entrance to walk in. No problems there Not sure about another review here that was really critical of Sobol pequa. Honestly after looking into it I recommend YELP to take measures like Amazon does and filter out suspicious reviews from fake sources. Love this place. Have been here a couple times now and the granola is gluten free. I have Celiacs so this is a must for me. The place closer to my home that makes Acai bowls told me they don't know if theirs granola is GF so not to get it. It's also a nice atmosphere inside if you are looking to sit somewhere and kill some time. I may sit here while my son is in religion at St. Rose on Saturday morning. Not much to say. Fresh fruit in a bowl with filling ingredients that are dairy free and look like a parfait. Is it expensive? Sort of but I would rather eat this and feel like i did something good for my health. It could be breakfast, lunch or dessert imo. It was delicious. Absolutely love this location!! The managers and workers are very accommodating to allergies, and the açaí bowls are delicious. Clear precautions have been taken in response to COVID-19, and I feel safe being in there. Masks are worn at all times and 6 feet distance is obtained. I went in to buy a regular sized bowl of Acai. I noticed the Bowl included many things in it like bananas, coconut etc. I asked to substitute the fruit for seeds and was told "no substitutes". Now I'm sure seeds are less expensive that fruit but they still charged me an extra $3 for 2 cents of seeds. Again they saved money on putting no fruit in. Needless to say I'll never go back.
