A light and airy new restaurant to the area. The menu has something for everyone. We were promptly seated and the waitress was attentive and eager to explain how their menu worked. My hubby had a coffee, granola bowl, and breakfast burrito. He gave the place a solid 10/10 which says a lot bc he's a tough critic. I had the complete which was a bec on brioche roll with hash brown and an iced cinnamon roll almond milk latte. Prices were reasonable. Only thing that was odd is their plate sizes are super small. I guess it's the vibe they're going with as most things are a la carte and things would look "lost" on the plate idk. I really can't complain otherwise and I'm ready to go back already! Went with my son on Saturday for a breakfast date. Lots of seating and cute look in there. I got an iced coffee and the special sticky toffee pudding pancakes. While I did not think they were very much like sticky toffee pudding they were great. Definitely heavy in ginger and so tasty. The butter they had on top was fluffy and delicious. I ate about half. It was big. The gem of this place is the cheap kids meals! My son got buttermilk pancakes for $6!! And he could only eat about half also. Ordered the Dana wrap and while I understand it's supposed to be healthy, it was downright bad. It's an egg wrap but I swear there was like 1 egg Felt like i was only eating spinach and avocado. The wrap was also hard and crunchy, like a crunchy peanut butter version of a whole wheat wrap. If you want an extra egg, the same wrap is almost 20 bucks. I can't comment on other menu items, but I'll remember to order from a local deli next time instead. read more

I've been to the Granola Bar at another location a few times for coffee, so I was excited when this one opened closer. I came here the other day for brunch, and it did not disappoint. I got a chicken caesar wrap and an iced french toast latte. The food here was delicious and the ambiance was very aesthetic. My one and only complaint would be the service... maybe it was just our waitress, but she rarely checked in on us and it took a while to get her attention at the end when we wanted to place an order to go. Other than that, the place is cute and I'd still go back again because they have a really good menu. read more

The service was good, nothing amazing nothing horrible. It was very bright and cute in there so it was pleasant to sit and dine. I will start with the good- the French fries that I asked for extra crispy were soooo good, nice and crunchy just how I like it and I also tasted my husband's garlic fries and they were delicious. I also really enjoyed the coffee.... I asked for an iced vanilla latte with extra espresso and it was perfect. Now for the rest of the food I was not impressed...wasn't horrible or inedible but just very bland. I got a chicken caesar wrap and it tasted like nothing I think they even forgot to put the Caesar dressing in it. My kids ate and enjoyed the pancakes but they aren't light and fluffy like they are at the diner they were kinda tough as I was cutting them up. My husband liked the burger and said he'd get it again but to me there was an odd sweet flavor that I didn't care for but again not the worst thing. The Granola Bar has ample parking and the decor is calming and beautiful. The menu is limited but the options are tasty. It is usually well staffed. I've noticed on 2 or 3 occasions they have problems with their heating in the winter. The wait staff seem ample but they tend to take/deliver order and give you the check. They don't come back to ask if everything is ok or if you would like anything additional. Tables are set with a fork and knife rolled in a cloth napkin. If you want to stir your coffee or tea you can help yourself to the table against the wall that has additional utensils and coffee stirrers. My biggest gripes is they do not give coffee refills. On my most recent visit we requested coffee be served in to go cups to keep the coffee warm while we enjoyed our food and chatted. When the bill arrived we realized we were charged an additional 50 cents each for the to go cups. This location is located across the street from a high school, when they first opened many people in the community raised concerns as kids were charged a "convenance fee", to ensure wait staff received tipping. Many thought that was a shady business operation. I think this place could do so much better if they did free refills on coffee as the price of a small coffee at Granola bar is more expensive then a medium coffee (in a to go cup) at Dunkin. I also think the wait staff should check back to see if anything else's needed. I can only guess they avoid coming back so they are not asked to put a hot spot on someone's coffee. read more

Was excited to try this new location since it is so close! We ordered the pumpkin iced cold brew and an iced cinnamon bun latte. The cold brew was good. You could taste the coffee and the pumpkin flavor wasn't overwhelming. I don't think I'd get the cinnamon bun latte again. I could hardly taste the espresso so it felt like I was drinking cinnamon milk. I actually didn't finish it :/ We order the pumpkin pancakes and the steak and egg burrito. The burrito had good flavor and fresh ingredients. The pumpkin pancakes were a large serving. It came with 3 large pancakes! They had good flavor too but they were a little cakey and it made them almost hard to eat because they just broke apart when you cut them. We also ordered a side of fries which were my favorite! You could revise it like this: I visited The Granola Bar in Massapequa this afternoon with my father and was really excited to try it. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and honestly left me baffled. The restaurant was not very busy, yet I waited 45 minutes for a simple avocado toast. After waiting that long, I asked the waitress about my order and was told it would be out shortly. When I eventually had to leave, she asked if I wanted to take it to go. I explained that I would if it was ready, but she informed me that it still needed more time. To her credit, the waitress removed the avocado toast from my bill since I never received it. I don't blame her personally, and she did what she could in the situation. What surprised me was the overall experience. Waiting over 45 minutes for an avocado toast when there were not many people in the restaurant is something I simply couldn't understand. I wasn't ordering a burger or a complicated meal--just avocado toast--and I ultimately left without receiving it. I was genuinely looking forward to trying this place, which made the experience even more disappointing. If you're planning to visit, be prepared for a potentially long wait, even for simple menu items, and hopefully you won't leave hungry like I did. read more

I placed a pickup order on the app and was told to pick it up at 2:51 the only negative thing was it was going to be 30 minutes from when i placed the order, which is fine they're popular so i expected a little wait- but for fries and a small latte it's kind of long. Nevertheless i went to pickup my order and was greeted when i came in and was told to head right to the pickup corner, grabbed my stuff and went on my merry way. Coffee was good and so were the fries, it was ready when i got there so i assume they were sitting out for a little while and they still weren't soggy which was nice. Came here on a Sunday morning, there were approximately 4 to 5 other tables with customers. Ordered our coffees and breakfast. Three decent sized pancakes came with syrup in a 1 ounce little shot cup sized cup. I would have asked for more but the waitress never stopped by our table and we couldn't get her attention. Ordered an avocado / pesto egg wrap and it was bland. I was shocked at the hash browns, literally a Costco potato patty fried. We were almost done with our meal and I finally got the waitress's attention and told her we never got our coffee's. She apologized and said the coffee bar was backed up. Absolutely must try! Such an amazing addition to our community. The atmosphere is charming and the staff of super welcoming and accommodating. The crunchy Elvis parfait does not disappoint, the combination of bananas, peanut butter and homemade granola is a perfect combination.. The seasonal Fall toast was on point and delectable try catch that while it's still in season. The Caesar wrap is unique and delicious with grilled chicken shaved and Brussels sprouts. If you're in the mood for a burger the bacon jam burger is to die for, the juiciest most flavorful burger I've had in a long time. I usually love granola bar. It was my first time at the massapequa location and I probably wouldn't go back. The lettuce in my salad was old, brown, floppy and not edible. The chicken was over cooked. Our waitress went on break half way through serving us (which she's entitled to) but no one asked how our food was until we were wrapping up. Me and my friends went and dined in today, service was less then subpar, as well as the food being quite bad. One of my friends got the Parmesan crusted grilled cheese which was completely inedible as it consisted of one slice of unmelted hard cheese and a pound of avocado. I ordered a classic avocado toast with an egg and the egg did not come out with the food and I had to ask the server to bring it out after the food was already on the table. The only good thing was the drinks, besides the egg cream which had chunks of salt and warm milk. The food for the table in general was also pretty bad. There was also no table presence from a manager and barely from the server. It also seemed as the server was struggling as there were only 2 servers with a completely packed restaurant. We have all been Woodbury location which blows this location out of the park, service and food wise. As someone who works in the service industry this resturant has a lot of improving to do.
