Stumbled upon here as I was searching for hidden gems. It's a shame more people don't know about this kitchen. Came in on a Saturday night around 7pm. Ordered the Blackened shrimp po boy and the Szechuan Udon with shrimp which has noodles stir fried & tossed with veggies in a spicy Szechuan inspired sauce. Both were tasty. Seasoned beautifully. Had lovely colored and delivered with every bite. Honestly it was so good that two hours later I came back and ordered food for my family. They licked the plate clean. I got them the Creole Seafood Eggrolls and the southern fried shrimp po boy. There's a few seats outside the restaurant but most people take it to go it looks like. Tell your friends. Tell your family. Slide thru. It won't disappoint. Plus it's Black owned. Bonus info! If you don't wanna order in person you can get it with grubhub, door dash, and other delivery platform

We were looking for cajun food and stumbled upon this hidden gem. When I say hidden, its hidden tucked inside an old industrial building (with zero street signage) that now houses a bunch of pop up culinary surprises. On the second floor tucked in the back corner you will find Far East Bayou. This casual take out restaurant, is a fusion of Southern New Orleans and Korean flavors. The chef was extremely friendly and ready to take us down his culinary journey down the bayou. I ordered a bunch of different dishes for my husband and I to sample: Shrimp Bo Poy - blackened, shrimp po boy- fried, crab hush puppies and honey cajun udon noodles. Everything was extremely flavorful! The sauces were out of this world. They had a nice spice on them. Not a spice that sets your mouth on fire, but spice that is flavorful and enhances everything else on the plate. The fried shrimp was super crispy and the cornmeal breading was perfectly seasoned. My only complaint is the preparation of the shrimp. The shrimp are prepared with their tails on, which made it difficult to eat. We had to dig through the sauces and toppings to find each shrimp and pull the tails off . I learned the owner makes his own kimchi, which is made using more spices and vegetables and less fish. He allowed me to sample some, and I will be dreaming about this kimchi tonight! I will definitely be coming back to try their rotating specials menu, and grab some more kimchi!

It was disappointing. I got the drunken noodles with chicken, that is a vegetable base then you can add protein with additional cost. The chicken was very dry, and there were very little vegetables. The dish was very salty, I could not finish it. I think for $18 that is expensive. The ladies were friendly, I just wished the food was better.

I got the Pad Ka Pow with pork and an order of the spring rolls. The service was so fast here and friendly. I got my food to go and it was still piping hot when I got home 15 minutes later. This is quite the meal with a large portion of rice in the main dish and five spring rolls. It was delicious from start to finish. Each dish came with an extra sauce to use or dip into. The spring rolls were crispy and full of flavor. The pad ka pow was a perfect balance of savory flavor with the right amount of spice. I should have asked to get shrimp with it this time, but that will happen when I go back next time. The parking at Chandler Street can be a little tough but I found a spot which was nice. The building is full of businesses so it is a nice place to be when you're hungry. Tiny Thai is one of my new favorite places to check out in the city and if you're ever over near the Westside, you should too!

I ordered 2 tacos, the Touchy Feely ground turkey marinated in a red sauce and the 5 Star taco which was Cajun marinated grilled chicken. My husband ordered the All-America cheeseburger eggroll. Chef Josey does magical things with egg rolls. Think cinnamon roll egg roll! Didnt get that today but its one of her specialties. It's a toss up which taco I liked best but think I'll go either the 5 star. I loved the creole sauce. Both were good size and very filling plus all the meat was freshly cooked as we stood there. We decided to not cook tonight and grab something local since fast food didn't sound great. We decided to order from SZN since they just reopened yesterday and it sounded really good! Chef Josey is a master in the kitchen with how these tacos turned out. We got two birria tacos, two five star tacos, and a Cinnabon eggroll. Everything was so delicious that it didn't last on the plate very long. Do yourself a favor and order from SZN soon. They usually sell out pretty quick!

The restaurant is downtown, and we parked right in front. Found it strange that we could only order to go and there wasn't a dine in option on a Saturday. We still ordered and ate in the car. We had fried haddock, sweet potatoes, and collard greens, along with a slice of Hennessey pound cake. The food was hot. Had good flavor but wasn't a fan of the breading on the fish and the cake was very dense. The gentleman that took our order was very nice and the chef was also friendly. All in all the food was OK. The Ambiance wasn't there.
