The deluxe bus arrived on time for all the eager beer drinkers. Fritz, our tour guide was knowledgeable and explained a lot about the process of how beer is made. We went to three different breweries. San Fernando brewing, Lincoln brewing and the Brewyard. A delicious lunch was included from Mendocino farms which we enjoyed at the 1st brewery. All 3 breweries had a little different vibe and styles of beers. Our favorite was San Fernando brewing and the Brewyard. We can't wait to explore more of the breweries in SoCal. I did the South Bay tour in April and it was great- Phil took us to hidden gems that I'd never have discovered on our own. The last brewery (Phantom Carriage) was an especially fun and unexpected surprise, it was this dark, underground den where they were screening vampire movies - absolutely loved it (and as far as I know every tour has a slightly different variation of breweries, but I'm sure they're all equally good). Overall vibe of the tour was also very laid back - I went with just me& my husband, but there was also a bachelorette party and another small group and everyone was really nice. Was great to have the brew bus as to not worry about transportation/lyft/uber between each location. Phil was a real pro and told us about the specific beers we were drinking, and even gave us an overview of how beer is made in general (I'm sure he simplified it so we could understand, which I am grateful for!). We highly recommended this tour company. We did the South Bay tour which takes you to three different Breweries. Out of the three, two we were able to go behind the scenes and but the last one was even better because we got to meet with the owner. (The following is more of an indept take on the tour, so no need to read the following unless you really want to.) The first brewery we went was the Iron Triangle Brewery. This spot was big. Here, we tired four types of beers. Phil (the tour guide) explained how these four beers are made. All four samples we tried was really good but my favorite was the BPA (Bavarian Pale Ale) where I bought a crowler From there, we walked to the various vats and tanks and explained how the beer is being made. The second brewery was the Mumford Brewing. We sampled tasted another four types of beer. I wasn't very fond of the beers they have here, 2 out of the four liked. The location is next to skid row so, something to be mindful of. The last brewery was River D Brewery. The beers here was amazing. I was surprise that this was even called beer. All four tastings we got weres so good. I had to get 'Lady Roja'. We got to meet with the owner, showed us behind the scenes and ask alot of questions. There is one beer there that is made involving hot lava stones. Overall, a great great tour. read more

I am giving a 5 star review even though my husband and I did not go on the tour. We scheduled it for Saturday, 9/08... and no one else did. Phil texted me the Thursday before that they still needed 4 more people to have the tour, and I appreciated him giving me a heads up. By Friday night no one else had booked so he called it - it was cancelled. I told him I was disappointed but obviously it was no one's fault. I also told him we were going to Torrance anyway because we'd gotten a hotel room (I knew we shouldn't drive home after a brewery tour!) that could not be cancelled. Phil was AWESOME about it. He refunded my money that night and sent me a long email detailing breweries in the area and which ones he recommended. We visited a few and he was right! We ended up having a great day after all. We took the art and craft brewery walking tour in the Arts District in downtown LA. It was a really cool experience. There were 7 of us on the tour. We tasted 4 different beers at Angel City Brewery. The Brewery had an art exhibit as well as indoor cornhole and an area for kids to play!! There was a Food truck outside for something to eat. We had Lawrence as a beer guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable. On our way to our next stop, Hector, our art guide pointed out the art on the sides of buildings, on the sidewalk and on utility poles. He was knowledgeable on graffiti art and pointed out the differences between graffiti art and vandalism. We had two more stops for beer. All in all a very fun 4 hours. read more

This was such a fun day to celebrate my birthday! The bus and guide were both on time in order to take us to the South Bay. On our way there our guide, Fritz, informed us of how beer was brewed and showed us barley and hops. Once at the first brewery, we got a tour of the machinery as well as sampled a few beers. They picked us up on time, gave invaluable information about beer and cool spots around SoCal to hit up for good beers and they were just so accommodating overall. Also, they had tasty veggie food for possible vegetarians (which worked out well, as my wife and I are vegetarians) and when people had requests, they went above and beyond to meet them. LOVED THIS TOUR! A+ First, booking online was very easy and seamless. Just pick the date that works best for you and then booking online is very straightforward. I also loved that I got a text notification the day before reminding me of the tour and a link to my confirmation page. The pickup location was great and really easy to find the bus. The bus was very clean, air conditioned, and there are water bottles for the passengers. We went on the downtown/east side tour and loved the Mumford brewery stop. There were great beers and we got a really fun and informative tour of the back brewery area. Our other stops were Golden Road and Highland Park which had great beers but weren't quite the same intimate brewery experience. We got 3-4 beer tasters at each stop which you were able to pick and choose. You are also allowed to bring and drink beers on the bus... Chill!!!!!! I have to give a HUGE shoutout to our guide, Tyler. He was super knowledgable and passionate about beer and the brewery world. He also was very friendly and very accommodating to all of us. He spoiled us big time and we loved it!!! Just a note... He's only lived in LA 3 WEEKS... WHAT? SO AMAZING!!!! We took my dad for a late Father's Day gift and I was little nervous because he can be picky, but he had a wonderful time and was super impressed with the service, beers, bus, and guide.
