We chose the classic wood boat, The Alexandria, for our memorial service since there were only a few of us. The deck hand met us in the parking lot as promised and directed us where to park. I found the captain and deck hand to be very respectful, polite and accommodating. The boat was clean and beautifully restored. They say the boat accommodates 11 but I counted 9 seats. I could see it holding 11 people, but it would be a tight fit. Overall, we were very pleased with the service that was provided and I would highly recommend Prince Charters. read more

From the moment I found this charter, I knew it would be great! They have a couple of boats to choose from and lots of times throughout the week. I chatted with Donna a little bit when I realized I had used a credit card that had been hacked and I had to update my contact info. AMAZING! I had no idea where to start and was completely overwhelmed when I was tasked to find a charter for my mother's ash scattering. My siblings and I would be traveling from 3 different states to California and had no idea what we would need to do. I reached out to Prince Charters through the website and Donna immediately called. When she got my voicemail she sent a very detailed email and from there the communication was just as concise. Donna took care of all the details and was ALWAYS so kind! When we arrived for the charter we were greeted by an equally kind and welcoming gentleman who was there to guide us to the boat. He wasn't going to be with us on the charter and was only there to show us to the boat, yet was so nice and welcoming. Once we arrived we were greeted by our two Captains, Captain Doug and Captain (I'm so sorry your name escapes me but you were so awesome and you run whale watching charters during the week!), they were great! We were given the initial safety briefing and were underway. From the start it always felt like we were cruising with friends and never felt like a stuffy business charter. We had 18 family members total and it was completely relaxed and laid back.....EXACTLY as mom would've wanted it! As we cruised my memories flooded back of the year her and I lived together in California and I felt like she guided me to this charter. We even saw a Thresher shark jump out of the water! As we approached the point of the cruise to spread her ashes the Captain lowered her basket. I was in awe of the beauty of it all and it was nothing I had imagined. The flower petals floated across the water as her ashes cascaded through the water. My daughter said, "mom, they looked like they had sparkles in there" . My brother, sister & I were given the space to just say goodbye to our mom, they respected our space, our grief and our family. They treated us like friends, not customers. They welcomed us on their boat and gave us the freedom to be with our family and relax. I never felt like I was in someone else's space, I felt comfortable and at peace. My mom would've loved being there.....she was there. My daughter did say she felt like she saw my mom on one side and my grandpa on the other when my brother, sister and I were at the rail. Surprise birthday for Rafa went well on board the vintage yacht for 30 people. It started a bit warm below deck but once She got moving we were comfortable. The restroom was clean although it had the faint smell of of old urine. A generous spray down with an urine neutralizer on a regular basis should do the trick. I had my travel-size PooPourri so my experience was saved. There was a bar available. We opted for potluck style meal/food for an emphasis on the bday boys faves. Two hours goes by quickly. But we did go out where the channel becomes the ocean and watched the sunset too! read more

Captain Doug and Crew member Jake were beyond amazing. They were so kind and patient and understanding. We booked this to spread the ashes of our loved one. Parking is in the Yacht Club parking lot and it's about $3 per hour to park. Brings a credit card. The yacht has a bar and alcohol available for purchase along with water, Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite. We were allowed to bring our own bottled water as well. We had food catered to our event. Captain Doug is such a skilled Captain. The water was fighting us a bit and he did a great job!! He was so friendly and a great conversationalist. Crew Member Jake was so incredibly kind with the perfect attitude and demeanor for the somber event. He had a gentle smile the entire time. He kept a great eye on the older passengers and was quick to help before they even realized their legs were about to come out from under them. There are blankets on board also.
