I've been recovering from a hamstring autograft ACL reconstruction (+ meniscus stitch), and Dr. Taylor Sillekens has employed the perfect balance of pushing me to progress quickly while demonstrating holistic care for both my knee and overall wellbeing. He puts a lot of thought into his programming, which is both challenging and creative- I believe I've left every session having tried a new exercise. My mobility and strength bounced back so quickly that I found myself stronger than I was prior to the injury within less than 6 months. Core Performance has a lovely staff team as well! The PT aids are quite attentive and consistently check on my form/correct me if I'm off. I've had an incredible experience with Cat Stephens (who has not only helped me through painful moments but also brings smiles to all the patients' faces), but have always felt well-attended by all of the aids. The staff is super welcoming, knows us by name when we walk in, and are very responsive with scheduling. I look forward to each session since I know I'll be surrounded with such friendly people when I come in. I know this is verbose, but I'm just trying to convey my incredible experience here. For my three week home physical therapy NOI prescribed Mobile Therapy Specialists (MTS). I highly, highly recommended them. My physical therapist is Mark Singh, and he is wonderful and very professional. When he comes to my house, he has a massage table on which he performs my physical therapy. When he arrives, the first thing he does is check my blood pressure and temperature to make sure that I'm healthy enough to actually get my physical therapy. Then he massages my knee and starts to bend it for me. He is gentle and strong and by day three of his therapy I had my knee bending at 85°. Now I am doing exercises on my own as well to continue the bend and make my leg stronger. I can't tell you how thrilled I am with his work on my knee and MTS. They taught me how to do exercises and they never touched me. This practice has been super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The space is clean and spacious and usually not over crowded. I started PT beginning of June and after 3-4 weeks, I started to experience positive effects with my recovery. Josephine and the rest of the staff are super great. I personally went to a doctor for my issue several years ago and was dismissed. I saw Josephine, and she immediately validated my concern and actually identified the issue. Updating this review as I had the opportunity again to spend a few months here recently in…read morerehabilitating my lower back pain - the experience with my therapist, Mike, was truly exceptional. All in all, I ended up with close to 20 sessions by the time I was done, over a period of 4 months or so, with a break in between. The first session was about measuring range of motion and identifying weak spots and areas that needed improvement and more flexibility Mike was able to quickly diagnose and identify the best course of treatment. He also spent a lot time working on the mobility of my back and lower body, being very methodical about it and drawing from his vast experience and training to customize it appropriately. Here I should add he does not hesitate to encourage you to push yourself further to the limits of what is possible, while at the same time being very mindful of any associated pain and fine tunes and adjusts accordingly. I was also given a printout as a home exercise menu for me to practice in my free time. My pain that was close to 8/9 on a scale of 1 - 10, had improved to between 0 and 1 by the time I was close to finishing my program here Scheduling is very easy with Tommy at the reception and they deal with your insurance, making the whole process very convenient and seamless. What I appreciate most about this clinic is the personalized attention from the physical therapist, who dedicates the entire session to one-on-one care, a rarity in the field. After working with a couple of therapists, I found Ross to be exceptional and the ideal fit. His expertise in sports injuries and nuanced understanding of human movement is impressive. Moreover, his encouraging and patient demeanor is essential when dealing with patients in pain (and who might be feeling down because pain has prevented them from doing what they love). Over the past couple of months, I have seen significant improvement in my injuries under his care. I have regained my range of motion, and he has correctly diagnosed and treated what has been the true cause of what's been causing my lower back/hip/ sciatica pain. I left my appointment with no pain and wound up going into labor less than 24 hours later! I continued to see Sharon for postpartum rehabilitation and pelvic floor PT. She has been an essential person in getting me back on track post-baby as well as addressing my continuing health concerns. She assisted me in getting diagnosed (finally) with POTS, helped me optimize my fertility to get pregnant again, and walked with me through my miscarriages. Sharon is not only a wealth of knowledge, but is one of the kindest practitioners I have met. She has given me the gift of knowledge of my body and I recommend her to everyone I meet.
