I never believed in Heaven until I visited this place. I took my fiancé here as a surprise and was surprised myself to see him falling in love with all the mini pigs and watching him swoon as they fell over to accept belly rubs. So much fun and interactive! Definitely wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that you dont mind getting muddy. Some areas are wet and some pigs will nudge you with their muddy snout. There's a hand washing station when you leave. You'll get dirt under your nails after running their bellies. If you need to bring a purse or jacket, they'll watch over it for you. Most of the animals are friendly. There was one mama hog that was protective of her piglets so just be mindful. They have some veggies for you to feed the pigs so don't bring your own (for the animals' safety). There are chickens, turkeys, dogs, lambs, goats, a small horse, pigs and piglets. The smaller baby piglets tend to run away more than the bigger piglets so don't chase or corner them! Bend down and don't scare them away with sudden movements/grabs. Don't pick them up either! Once you're able to get near a piglet, scratch their belly and they'll fall over to the side to let you scratch more easily. They may even doze off! So adorable!! It's a 1 hour booking so arrive on time to take advantage of the full experience. The hour flies by quick! You can't arrive earlier either and if you're late, it'll just cut into your petting time. They'll email instructions for parking but it's easy to find with their signage. Super nice and inviting staff! They're more than happy to answer questions and take photos for you. Well worth the $25 and it's only 25-ish minutes from Escondido (without traffic). Very therapeutic experience for kids and adults. We had such a great time visiting all the piggies! We were super lucky because they had so many babies running around and they were all so precious. Besides the pigs, they also had turkeys, cute furry chickens, big fluffy sheep, little goats, dogs, and even a mini pony! Parking is easy and they have plenty of benches and shade. We loved visiting the SoCal Mini Pig farm! The family that owns the farm is so kind and it was really fun to hang out with them and learn about the animals. I loved getting to feed and pet all the pigs, goats, sheep, dogs, chickens, and mini horse. The turkeys were cruising around giving us plenty of laughs. I took my boyfriend here today for his Birthday since he loves animals (especially mini Pigs) and WE LOVED the EXPERIENCE. The pigs, goats, chickens and sheep were so sweet. We were able to pet them, feed them and of course take some cute pics too! The owners WES and SANDY were so friendly, hospitable and made the experience so enjoyable and memorable. I called and Sandra was so sweet, said she could get us in for the date and time we wanted! Started following these folks on IG because I sure do love potbelly pigs and always wanted one! Not in a position to care for one at the moment, so I'm just window shopping! I responded to an IG post when they were soliciting VOLUNTEERS (as in, FREE labor) to help around their farm. Perplexed but not wanting to call them out on their post, I sent them a private message. Just wondering why a reputable breeder would ask for people to volunteer to help out around their farm and care for the piggies (and not pay them a cent), but charge $1200 per pig they sell? Understandably, if they were an animal rescue or sanctuary I totally understand the need for volunteers, but breeders are for profit. Didn't get a response BUT they did end up blocking me on IG for asking a private question. When I am on the market to add a pot bellied pig to my family I definitely won't be buying from your establishment. Your lousy customer service (and incompetence in responding to my inquiry) swayed my decision to look elsewhere. 4 stars because you've got cute piggies but please do work on your customer service. 4/14/21 In response to your reply: When I inquired PRIVATELY and sent you a direct message instead of putting you on blast in your comments on social media, I was being polite. Instead, you guys got offended and decided to block the so-called "negative energy" because you didn't like accountability? If you had taken a moment to share your passion (like you did in response to my Yelp review), maybe you wouldn't have gotten a 4 star review in the first place. Good job in taking in rescues but that isn't an excuse for your lousy first impression. Sure, go ahead and toot your own horn now so you make yourself look like a victim of "slander".
