It may seem expensive to set up a team, but when you consider how much it actually costs per person to play, and for how long, it's actually not bad at all. (When else would you ever actually get a ton of people together to play any sport on a regular basis?) They also offer individual registration for individuals and small groups of people who don't have a full team so that everyone can play. I should also mention that they offer happy hour specials at participating bar(s) every year for some post-game refreshments. I highly recommend!!!

It was easy to park on the streets for free, and many others did as well to avoid the parking lot fee at the stadium. They had a pre-game party on the lawn which was so fun! There were samples of beverages, games, and plenty of information booths. There are multiple entrances to head into the stadium. The stadium was epic! There is a huge Brewhall on one end of it, which was incredible, and they had lots of other food stations as well to choose from. We enjoyed the cheese curds! Lots of shops as well to get some gear. Evening games are gorgeous as the sun is setting just past the stadium. There is truly not a bad seat in the stadium! We were high up, but it was good so we were able to see the whole field. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Lots of fun chants to yell during the game, and of course waving your towel! Quite a crowd getting out of there but many traffic guards to help. Definitely worth a try!

They sponsored a picnic dinner for family outside the stadium. There's a huge pre- party area nearby for pre-game music and booths and some fun interactive experiences. I grabbed a free clear bag from Hyundai. We also checked out the kids playground area on the east side of the stadium. Loved it. Great for kids to get the wiggles out before heading into the stadium. The game was full of excitement. We sat behind the north side goal tender area. I did a nice lap around the stadium, grabbed drinks, ice cream and a souvenir for the kiddo. The only negative for me was one of the refs that had some very bad calls and the bugs. It was very buggy, I felt itchy quite often and maybe because they are constantly watering the grass so it's the only place the bugs are attracted to in the area since it's been so dry.

The team's first season was in 2017. I think the team has gradually improved since that time, finishing in the semifinals in both the 2020 MLS is Back Tournament and the 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs. Minnesota's 2020 team lost, 3-2, to the Seattle Sounders in the Western Conference Finals. Despite not making it to the final game, Minnesota's Kevin Molino ended up as the top goalscorer in the 2020 playoffs with 4 goals. Christian Ramirez is the team's all-time top goalscorer with 74 goals scored during his time with the team from 2014 to 2018. However, most of those goals were scored during Minnesota's time in the North American Soccer League (NASL), not MLS. If you count MLS-era goals only, Darwin Quintero owns the team record with 27 goals scored between 2018 and 2019. Robin Lod and Emmanuel Reynoso are the guys to keep your eyes on these days. And speaking of the MLS era, Adrian Heath, who came over from Orlando City SC, has been the team's coach every season so far. Good for the Loons for sticking by Heath for five seasons now. Since the stadium's opening in 2019 (Minnesota's third season), the team has played in Allianz Field in downtown St. Paul. Allianz Field was designed specifically for Minnesota United. Similar to my favorite MLS team, Atlanta United, Minnesota United spent some time in a college football stadium while its current stadium was being built. In Minnesota's case, the team spent its first two seasons calling TCF Bank Stadium, now known as Huntington Bank Stadium, home. Huntington Bank Stadium is the home field of the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football team. The City of Chanhassen offers personal training and fitness classes too. The locker rooms and showers are basic, but new and clean. It's a small facility, tucked into the east side of Bluff Creek Elementary School, so it's not glamorous. No rows of flat screen tvs or monitors and MP3 connections on every treadmill. All the cardio and weight training equipment is located in one room, but the machines are new and well maintained. It seems pretty quiet in the evenings, so their having only 3 treadmills shouldn't be a problem. There are also several ellipticals and stationary bikes, a rowing machine and what looked like a very complete weight lifting circuit. Sure, the Eden Prairie Community Center, the YMCA or the numerous private fitness clubs are larger and have more amenities. But they're also crowded, pricey and usually want a commitment of variable duration. For $2.50 (or even $3) a visit, this is the best deal I've found.

There are two sheets of ice and plenty of other amenities. There are really no bad seats for watching a youth hockey game. The locker rooms were clean and spacious, there is plenty of parking as well as nearby hotels if you are visiting for a tournament. This rink has a skate sharpener, small pro shop and a really nice concession stand. Parking is a challenge if there is a lot going on at the rink, but once inside there is plenty of room. The ice quality is great and they seem to be really well organized. Overall, this is a top notch facility.
