There is something for everyone from fitness to galleries to coffee shops. What I was most excited for were the cool murals. There were so many and they were all great. I visited during a beautiful spring Saturday morning and it was not crowded at all, I assume it may get a little busier late afternoon into the evening. After checking out the murals, I popped into Cumbres Coffee Roasters for a mid-morning snack of some cheese bread that I really enjoyed. I spent under an hour walking around the design district, but that could be extended you you visit the merchants.

The Andre Design District is hidden off Congress Ave, just south of Atlantic Avenue. It's off the beaten path to avoid the high prices & pretension yet conveniently located off of I-95 and the Tri-Rail station. This former industrial Park is now attracting entrepreneurs and innovators. This mural filled incubator hub is 60,000 ft.² where locals in the know come for a bite, a brew, or a one of a kind look. 1-Star Review - Very Disappointing Experience…read more Lake Pavilion in West Palm Beach is a beautiful venue, but unfortunately, our experience with Christopher T. Burdick, Community Events Specialist, was extremely disappointing and stressful. Christopher was very disorganized and created a great deal of stress for us at the last minute. There was significant confusion and poor communication regarding documents that had already been submitted electronically to Tracy. We were repeatedly asked for paperwork that had already been provided, which made the entire process unnecessarily complicated. The parking situation on the day of the event was especially frustrating. If the venue is going to be so strict about paperwork and procedures, they should also have a clear and organized system for vendor parking. Parking spaces were not numbered, making it extremely difficult for nearly 20 vendors to know where they were supposed to park. The parking permits that were supposed to identify authorized vehicles were not properly provided or explained to us in advance. Instead, they were handed out on the day of the event without clear numbering or instructions, creating unnecessary chaos and stress. Even more disappointing, our contract stated that vendor setup would begin at 1:00 PM, yet the doors were not opened until approximately 2:00 PM. Nearly 20 vendors were left outside in the rain with all of their equipment and supplies for about an hour, unable to enter and begin setting up. This caused significant delays and affected our event schedule. It is very disappointing that such a beautiful venue can have such poor organization and communication. Instead of making the experience easier for their clients, the process felt unnecessarily stressful because of excessive paperwork requirements, lack of communication, and a lack of practical assistance when problems occurred. The venue itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, the organization and customer service we experienced were not acceptable. I sincerely hope management reviews these procedures and improves communication, vendor access, parking organization, and staff coordination for future events.

I call and we speak over the phone basically begging to keep the appointment for 7:15pm and she NO. Remind you all that this event was going to cost me $20,000. Most homes have their own private pools, but there is also a central "club" area with a gorgeous community pool. State of the art fitness club with free weights, machines, treadmills, bikes, etc. There are also separate rooms for spin classes, pilates and yoga, etc. They offer personal trainers as well. Multiple restaurants with stunning golf-course views and a beautiful bar. The food options are plentiful and delicious. Service is professional and friendly. Conveniently located within half an hour of downtown Delray. Only complaint is that golf carts and walkers share the same "sidewalk." You just can't hear those carts coming, and it seems like only a matter of time before there is an unfortunate accident.

Let's just say, the magic and whimsy that we've come to love about OtakuFest seemed faded this year and I sincerely hope that the organizers return to Miami next year. Their website claims they secured a "50,000 square foot space" with "improved parking" but this seemed to be misleading at best. The vendor and artist alleys were so small that we were able to tour the entire floor in less than 20 minutes... this includes the time it took looking at some of the merch. There was an upstairs where some more vendors were and rooms for panels but it seemed they weren't being used and it also seemed that many vendors that the convention used to have didn't join this year. Now, this is coming across, of course, as more of a review of the convention, and not the convention center. However, the convention center booked another convention just a few feet away and people were confused on where to go. I do feel that a lot of the disappointments about this year's OtakuFest came as a result of the new venue. We spent about 1.5 hours there in total and left feeling a bit disappointed. We didn't even see that many cosplayers which is a hallmark of a good con. I sincerely hope that OtakuFest returns to Miami next year.

They also had rows and rows of tattoo artists working their magic for anyone wanting to get one done. The carnivorous plants. They had a good selection of sizes and prices. I saw some plants I had only seen in books before. I ended up getting some. The plant vendors all very helpful. I was given websites and instructions with each plant. I felt confident. I would not kill these plants this time. The expo had the dark creative art. It was beautifully disturbing. Some of the taxidermy turned into art blew my mind. Some one made a lamp out of a ribs and spine and it actually looked cool looking. Meeting and talking to the artist and vendors here was a fun adventure for me. Everyone was helpful. They didn't seem to mind explaining the art process. This was a good show.

Once you get up the stairs or elevator, you're greeted with a cafe serving up delicious treats and drinks, and a wonderful lounge space with couches and a big table. There's also a balcony with great views of the area. There are two big beautiful studio rooms for the yoga and Pilates classes, as well as a mini spa, lockers, and incredible bathrooms. I love that the classes are not heated, and the rooms are super comfortable. Every class by every instructor I've taken has been really high quality and top notch. They really have high standards and know what they're doing. I do wish there were more weekend classes in the schedule, but I come whenever I can fit it in. I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for a wonderful upscale yoga experience.
