The drivers are good, so are the people in customer service. But their system/dispatch is god…read moreawful, bad timing, no shows for stuff that isn't your fault. You will suffer, and suffer badly, i only put 2 stars instead of 1 because i feel sympathy for the drivers and customer service for doing their best.

I am a disabled patron of Sun Van Paratransit services. As a matter of fact, I am a Blind patron…read more At this point Sun Van's services are no where excellent. Almost every single time I ride the Sun Van, I have to call 311 and file a complaint with the city of Albuquerque. I have called the Mayor's Office with no resolutions or help. All I am told by the Mayor's Office is that Sun Van has loop holes and refers me back to Sun Van's supervisor, Phyllis. When I talk to Phyllis, all she does is make excuse after excuse. Yesterday, July 16th I was the Presbyterian Hospital on at 1100 Central Ave., I was taken there and asked for a call when ready pick up. I called and the dispatch logged me in at about 4:42pm.I sat in a wheelchair outside of the hospital by the main entrance by the valet because I asked valet to keep a look out for the Sun Van for me. Yesterday, was hot as are most days in Albuquerque during the summer. I was drinking lots of water because I didn't want to get dehydrated. I called dispatch at 5:45pm to see when the Sun Van would arrive. He said, in 5 minutes so, I didn't have enough time to go to the restroom. I didn't go during that hour because I was in fear of being stranded by Sun Van as it has happened in the past. I finally get picked up. Guess what?! The driver had another patron on the sun van and we drove from Presbyterian Hospital on Central to Academy near Tramway. I was clear across town on the opposite side of town of where I live. I live in Ventana Ranch passed Universe. Meanwhile, I needed to go to the restroom and the driver told me he's not allowed to make stops for the bathroom. If the driver can't make stops, why have disabled patrons on the Sun Van for an extended period of time? Phyllis did return my call today, except she left me a voicemail with an invalid phone number. I called the number three times and each time said, you've reached a number that has been disconnected or no longer in service. I've also been stranded by Sun Van. I've called dispatch and there was no answer. I called 311 and made a complaint. The 311 operator also called dispatch with no answer. I attempted to call five times. one call I let it ring for 15 minutes. I have the phone records to prove this. I eventually had to call UBER to get home. My list goes on when dealing with Sun Van. I don't recommend using this service. Some of us disabled patrons depend on this service. Changes are necessary!!! I've also started a petition on Change.org

Thanks to these guys, my wallet is $20 lighter. I was just getting acclimated to the high altitude…read moreof Albuquerque, taken aback by the beauty of the Land of Enchantment, excited for green chile and sopapillas, and was so enchanted that I didn't see that there was a parking meter along the street, which I (allegedly) never fed, (supposedly) breaking some law about violating their precious parking spot, resulting in a ticket. On the ticket, there's a website where you can type in your infraction number, and get the (supposed) evidence against you, such as photos. When I clicked through to see for myself the evidence of my crimes against the people of Bernalillo County that the prosecution had brought against me, the links didn't work. 404 Error. The evidence was missing! I should've been let off right then. However, Bernalillo County doubles (Yes! Doubles!) the price of justice every two weeks, ultimately resulting in incarceration if you don't get a speedy trial or pay up. Since I was a (harshly treated) guest in the town, I was forced to pay up for my (alleged) infraction over the internet, which saved me from having to visit this beautiful building. I drove by the courthouse (in a safe and controlled manner) to shake my fist at this courthouse, and their scheme to ticket out of state drivers who are too enchanted to notice parking meters. If they'd cover them in turquoise or dress them up like a Katchina doll, I'd take notice of them. The courthouse is a nice looking building that I was thankful that I didn't have to visit.

Ok, how you feel about this place undoubtedly depends on why you're here. I was here for jury…read moreduty, so my experience was a pretty good one. If I was here as a defendant, I think I might give it a few less stars... Objectively, the building is very pretty and the security staff are amazingly nice. There is even a little cafe here. On to jury duty. I've done jury duty in several states. This one was by far, hands down, the best... No contest. The staff treat the jurors with such amazing respect. You really feel like they value our time and effort. The staff explain what's going on, even the judges will come down and address the whole group (all 150 of us or so) and let us know the schedule. They provide free drinks too. The most amazing thing was that they let you bring in your electronics! They even have free wifi. Yes, as long as you turn off your phone when you go into the courtroom, you can have it all with you. Wow, so cool and makes the time pass much more pleasantly. I got put on a trial (Judge Flores) and the good treatment continued. Sure, there was snacks and drinks. But this was the first time, ever, that everyone in the court stood up in respect when the jury entered or exited. Even the judge. Wow. And, when the case got dismissed, the judge came in to explain what happened, why, answer questions, etc. Holy crap. Then she asked the prosecution and defense lawyers to come in and explain everything to us. Finally, the judge gave us all signed certificates of appreciation, thanked us by name, and said bye. I was blown away. It may sound weird, but I will not mind at all when I am called back for jury duty.

I was contacted a short time later by a nice attorney with the office, who actually seemed to care. He contacted the business, and checked back with me a few weeks later to see if anything had happened. (Unfortunately, the answer was no.) Although I didn't get so much as an apology from Midas, let alone a refund, I can tell you that the AG in New Mexico is far more interested in helping consumers than the AG in my own state of Colorado, where all you get is a form letter telling you to contact the Better Business Bureau.

NM DOJ Technician: Gina Ray…read moreI contacted NM DOJ because of a financial dispute I am having with an Albuquerque business. I filed an online complaint with the DOJ website. Their policy concerning disputes says: "NMDOJ's Advocacy and Intervention Division offers informal complaint resolution services, that are free of charge for the public. However, our complaint resolution program relies on the voluntary cooperation of both parties to reach a mutually satisfying resolution. The NMDOJ can never guarantee a particular outcome". Ms. Ray contacted the business I have the dispute with and I suppose explained my position to them. They replied back to her and said that I had no basis for my complaint, and have a nice day. I contacted Ms. Ray again to tell her that as for my part in this, I wanted the NM DOJ to use their resolution services to settle this. I also asked her if she would contact the company I am having the difficulty with and to ask what their intentions are concerning using DOJ to resolve. I asked this several times. Her answer was always the same: "It would not be appropriate for this office to provide legal advice to you". I was not asking for legal advice, I was asking what the intentions were of the other party. What did NMDOJ do for me? Nothing. I did not expect them to represent me, however I did expect them to contact both parties and to let us know how, or if, to proceed. I am at a loss to understand what utility NM DOJ has for the common citizen of NM. Why bother filing a complaint? All the other party has to do is explain away the complaint or ignore it, and the process dies there. Is it possible to not give any stars? I did not get any service.
