Friendly and helpful employees. I've had to visit a few times, the wait time is reasonable. Staff is well informed.

I came to register the vehicle and get new plates for a used car that I just bought. I was not able to get new plates because I didn't have enough money at the time and they were about to close so I was running out of time. But Joshua was so very patient and helped me out. My mom was acting up and being intense, which made me upset and Joshua had to deal with all the madness. He was incredibly patient and tried his best to help me out. He was able to register my vehicle and set me up with appointments for the plates and other processes, I was really grateful for him. I noticed one of the coworkers next to him seemed annoyed by us, she didn't do anything at all to help him though and he seemed pretty new at this job and I wonder if this is how they roll here, he seemed like he could have used some help, but she seemed like ready to check out. Thank you Joshua you had the patient of a saint. Needless to say I have my plates and all documents needed, and thankfully it all went very well.

It would be nice to have an event calendar state what is the story time themes are, not just the time. My biggest complaint is by the front door. Nothing short of that was the event I attended at Central Library on 4/21/18. The library hosted a fashion show that featured area students that designed dresses made from trash & other found / discarded items. What these young people came up with was absolutely miraculous, and the juxtaposition of those beautiful creations over the fact that we have a massive waste crisis on out hands in this world was really moving. One dress was made entirely of green soda bottles curled and extruded to create a flowing, bouncing ensemble mirrored by a hairdo of similar curl and body donned by the model. Another outfit top was made almost exclusively with a young lady's grandfathers old ties. Very creative! This is why I live in this part of Florida, and why I will continue to support the community and events they offer for many years to come.

This place is definently disorganized to say the least and has a terrible way of prioritizing their patients. After this result is read, I will never come back here. To see the schedule for the mobile van, go to: http://manatee.floridahealth.gov/programs-and-services/infectious-disease-services/aids/outreach-and-testing/index.html from the website: " We offer confidential, 15-minute HIV tests to the public in our clinic and through outreach activities in the community. We also offer other STD tests; our package screening tests for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea and hepatitis A, B and C" The mobile van service offered by the Manatee County Health Department offers FREE and confidential HIV/STD testing for Manatee County residents. You can also pick up a discrete packet of free condoms while getting tested. Some results you will get on the spot, some you will have to call in to get 10-14 days after your initial visit. The van moves around throughout the county and you can visit at the various locations 5 days a week, no appointment necessary. Apparently Manatee County is brimming will all sorts of crotch cooties, so why not get tested if you've ever *ahem* partaken in the local, um, attractions. People lie, people lie more if they think there is a chance they might get laid out of the deal, so protect yourself and get tested and have the peace of mind of knowing for sure where you stand. Get your partner to come on down to the mobile van, too. Please note that the testing on the mobile unit is always free! You can also get tested at the brick and mortar location, but for some reason they may access a fee to you if you go to that location, which doesn't even make sense, so spare yourself the possibility of a charge and track 'em down in the mobile unit.

Piles of cards are left unattended at multiple stations, thereby allowing anyone to get one on their way to the checkpoint trivializing the need for the card. I am just always smiling so when she said I had some sort of hot spots around my thighs and she would have to pat me down, I said, "sure, no problem." I stood there smiling, and she said, " with my attitude would I rather have a private search?" I said, " no , I'm fine.". She spat out, "get your feet farther apart," which I, of course did. She proceeded to pat me down very roughly and was sure to touch my privates twice, then loudly asked me if I was wearing a pad. As I said, I worked as a Customer Services agent for Delta Air Lines and would be mortified if any normal human was treated as I was at my airline. She was a heavy set older woman who might have been a drill sergeant in another life. Other passengers came up to me afterwards and said they couldn't believe what she put me through. Please see that this woman finds a job where she does not deal with the public. Thank you Fran Strickler fran.strickler@gmail.com.
