Fast service, I visited around 1:30-2:30 only 4 other customers were waiting. Clean area customer service was excellent

If I could give no stars I would ! The reps at the desk are rude and unprofessional. Everything was clearly done online and the lady there was being rude about the whole appointment telling me everything needs to be brought in. I brought in my marriage certificate GIVEN BY THE COURT, ID's & Social Card & she still did nothing to help me and my wife. All in 5 minutes! Being very dismissive and rude the entire time to us. I called for guidance on getting a new social security card for my son. The person I spoke to sounded like he was miserable and did not want to help. He let me know all the offices are closed and that I would need to mail in my son's original drivers license. I had follow up question on timeframe and additional documents since my son would be without a drivers license for the time being. The rep advise me that my son should not serve so he doesn't get pulled over. He never actually answered my question and I had to call back. Horrible service. read more

I needed to correct my date of birth with the SSA so I read the reviews posted online on the best location and time to go, and I saw that after 1:30pm Wednesday and I will add Thursday also was best. That being said I must Post about the Security Officer, Stevens. From start to finish He greets everyone and sign you in, checks on everyone, and make sure you are taken care of in an orderly, and professional manner. Be aware that mask must be worn and only 10 customers are allowed in at one time do to Covid, so some of the elderly sit in their cars with the A/C on He even keeps track of them to make sure they get they get taken care of also. If I could I would give Zero stars. Took more than 40 min for someone to pick up and just to be hung up on 3 times in a row.. for an address change. It's ridiculous, we ended up visiting the office on Dunn Ave to be told to call the number listed on the board. Not helpful, why doesn't the physical office have a change of address form? Why do you not call your client back ? And why don't you mail a "temporary" password out so I can change my address online! It's frustrating that no one wants to understand or help. read more

This is another one of those "It is what it is" kind of places. Like the dentist, every now and then you're going to find yourself in an office doing something important and boring. I'll say this right now though: If you don't have a copy of your SS Card then please make an appointment with your closest facility and get it out of the way. Don't be like me and go when someone steals your wallet and now you need an ID but you need*** a SS card for the ID so first you gotta come here. The most impressive thing about this particular office were the security guards. They greeted everyone who came through the door, walked them through the procedure and sometimes even punched in information on the sign in screen for a few people. They were knowledgeable about what the place does, and I could tell they were genuinely interested in interacting with the public. I was similarly impressed with the wait time. I ended up coming twice in one day and total time waiting was under 35 minutes. Not bad. The first person I spoke with could not help me at all (note: a Birth Certificate is not enough to get your SS Card, but it is enough to change your name on your SS Card and get a new one) but she went out of her way to be helpful. Instead of saying 'well there's nothing I can do for you," she went with "let me think of what I CAN do to help." Between her information and the security guards, I was able to get my problem resolved. All in all, it was a good experience that I hope to never have to do again. ***The DMV website says you need to bring in proof of your SS# in order to get a license, but what it doesn't tell you is they are able to electronically validate your # at their facility. So not only do you not need your card, you definitely don't need to go to the SS Office to obtain a card before heading to the DMV. Again, don't be like me and make two trips to the SS Office when only one will do. read more

This location is great! I called to ask some clarification questions and they answered the phone right away, were respectful and kind, and walked me through exactly what I needed to do. I came to the office, was greeted at the door and helped from there. Amazing experience and very fast as well. Their set up for COVID is perfect and ensured that I was helped in a timely manner. read more

Typical government efficiency. I established my online account with them thinking that would allow me a way to handle routine matters efficiently. Change of address? Sorry, can't do that online. These are the rudest government workers yet. They are dismissive. They mess up your benefits and then blame you for not using an online system when they missed up. Unfortunately SS won't let you work with a different office. This incompetence and rudeness has to stop! I usually get upset at people who say police work for the tax payer. In this situation SS does work for us who receive benefits. Mr. Wissenger and Ms. Allen are the worst. Run if Mr. Wissenger is assigned to you. read more
