You need to register in advance and show up early. I was there at least an hour early and that helped. There is free parking and I walked up to the line from there. When I arrived I had a hat, wallet, keys, phone, and a Bible I wanted to give away. An officer politely told me that you cannot bring any of that in. No keys, no phone, no Bible, nothing extra. You lock things up, then go through the line, and take a bus to the area where your visit will be. The officers I dealt with were kind and professional. They explained the rules and kept things moving. They say the visits are about 30 minutes, but I was given more time than that, which I appreciated. You do need to understand where you are and follow the rules. Within that reality, my experience with the staff was respectful. I do wish there was a way to bring in a Bible but I understand they have strict policies. so three and a half stars, which rounds up to 4 on here, based on how I was treated.

Once I arrived I was appalled by the amount of parking there is, usually one has to pay or park far but here parking is not an issue. The check in process was super straight forward fill out you're form get in line go thru security then check in. You will ride a bus about 5 min to the facility and as soon as you get off go inside the facility and hand over your form to the officer. From there it's just a wait till you hear your loved one's name and they'll tell you you're booth. Staff and officers were very nice and understanding something I would wish I'd see more in L.A. Dress code is not so strict from what I've seen but I still try to keep it toned down casual just in case! Sometimes there will be lockdowns and unfortunately that aren't the facility's fault. They go thru a thorough process and as soon as everything is green light then they will almost always let you in to see your loved one. If you need to use the restroom try using the ones passing security for a cleaner experience. Stay strong everyone God is good!

What I really wanted to say is thank you. I've lived in a lot of places over the years, and I truly believe the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Department does a great job. They have a strong instinct for what they do and seem able to spot trouble a mile away. That kind of awareness makes a real difference in the community. Cleaning up the wash has helped a lot. I walk my dog there often, and while I have a great deal of empathy for the homeless community, the trash and mess had become overwhelming. The deputies are doing good work and helping keep the area safer and more enjoyable for everyone. I appreciate it. Thank you for what you do.

I filed a written report against Hemron Das, a supervisor, who argued with me about my package that THEY lost! He even went so far as to say "You do not know what you're talking about" about MY address! Another employee heard the discussion, and when I said I wanted to speak to another supervisor to lodge a complaint, the employee BEGGED me not to do so, saying, "Please don't! I do not want to get into trouble." Apparently Mr. Das uses intimidation in terms of his management style. So, I filed a report with Ms. Cindy Mesa, another superviser, and she told me on April 28th that an investigation would occur, and to allow her to speak with other staff involved in Mr. Das's bizzare behavior. Ms. Mesa said it would take a month to conduct an investigation. It's now June 8. 2026, and while I have since written another letter asking her if there were any developments on the investigation, she did not even respond to that. I also sent a letter the postmaster, but have yet to hear from them as well. Overall, this location is abyssmal in terms of how they treat people. Yet, it makes sense because the supervisors quite clearly behave accordingly, so I suppose I should expect nothing less from their subordinates. This place is horrible!

He survived being hit on the freeway, probably Saturday evening or early Sunday morning, and was reunited with its owner Monday, January 20. The owner's name is Angel. The dog's name is Halo. We're getting a lot of credit for doing the rescue but in fact, it was a team effort, which we were able to do safely with the assistance of the CHP.
