This is a fun fusion cuisine taco place that I've been to a couple times. It's not particularly cheap, but it's not crazy expensive either. Usually I'll get three different tacos, and my girlfriend will do the same. I'm on a mission to try everything on the menu that sounds good, and that's going to take easily 3 or 4 more visits, maybe more. I order from here regularly like at least once a month. I have some dietary restrictions and the menu is so accommodating. I usually get the shrimp quesadilla, elote, and chips with salsa and it's great. Very fresh well seasoned and a good size portion as well. I've only ever gotten take out and everything is well packed. I've also had the flan when it's available and the churros that are mostly good but on occasion are a little too chewy like they might be a bit old. Traveled to the area for work and this taco shop was close to where I was staying. I stopped in with my coworkers for some lunch and we all ordered different tacos all of which were super good! The guy who took our order was super friendly and also made it a point to ask people sitting at the tables if everything tasted okay and if they needed anything. I've been to Social Taco a couple times to meet a colleague for work lunch. today I came with the Honeybun after shopping as we were both famished. Today I ordered the shrimp taco, he got the Philly beef and we had the guac and chips. That shrimp taco was delicious. the shrimp were plump and juicy (battered and fried) and the slaw was cool and crunchy. Honestly it was perfect for a hot humid day-very refreshing. he said his Philly Beef tacos were excellent and he would absolutely come back and order them again. The beef is likely the birria meat with a cheese sauce topping along with grilled onions and peppers, just like a Philly beef should be. The guac was nothing to write home about. I love a fresh guac and this was "fresh". To me it tasted like a packaged avocado product vs fresh avocado. (there was a lot of citric acid in it to prevent browning). I personally will try a different side next time or order another taco. So far, I'm really pleased for a quick lunch-- sit down but fast casual service. I can see meeting friends for a casual dinner. I haven't tried their takeout service but I'd imagine it's every bit as good. staff is very friendly and the service is excellent.
