UPDATE to my review below: In the week that followed (4/6), I did see a doctor regarding this matter. A back and spine specialist had X-rays conducted and determined two things: the pelvic area would be where the knee ligaments stem from and I didn't have pelvic issues. This conflicts with Dr. Ross' original diagnosis. Secondly, and more importantly, the physical action Dr. Ross conducted triggered an arthritic issue in my back where I am now dealing with this newfound source of pain. I'm now taking 15mg of Meloxicam every day for the next 30 days to cope with the back pain. Hoping to recover from this unnecessary injury. read more

I originally saw Mike Ross about 4 years ago when I was training for a couple half-marathons. I had fairly severe knee pain that was preventing me from training. I had been going to physical therapy for months, dong my exercises, and even got (really expensive) custom inserts for my shoes. Nothing helped. My physical therapist told me to find a new sport. As a fellow runner, Dr. Ross' goal was to allow me to continue to run. I saw him twice (just twice!), and I kid you not, I literally never had knee pain again. I would swear he was a miracle worker. I ran both my half-marathons at my goal pace (thanks also to the training schedule he helped me create), continued running long distances for some time after, and never once had knee pain again. I have found my new chiropractor! Dr. Greenwade is professional, listens to you, and explains what he's doing and why he's doing it. I have problems in my back and right elbow, and he really did a lot of work on both during my first visit. I can't wait for my next appointment! I have received all of their services (chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapy) for different reasons over the last couple of years. Others have said it but I will repeat: Dr. Ross is not the typical chiropractor. He wants to help you fix your issue as quickly as possible. That's right he helps, and you do your part. There is typically homework, exercises to help strengthen the weaknesses that are the root cause of most back and muscle issues. There is no pressure to be a continual patient. If Dr. Ross can't help you in a few visits, he will send you to someone else who can better address your issue. Or, if you're not doing your homework, he might tell you not to come back until you are committed to addressing the root cause of your problem. I tried acupuncture here after my most recent knee surgery (I've had several over the years). I had less swelling and faster healing than ever before and I think the acupuncture made a big difference. No, I can't prove cause and effect on this, but I believe it worked. I've seen Dr. Ross for a few issues that would be fairly typical for a chiropractor (e.g. sore back, pinch in my neck, rib out of place...etc.) That said, I had a bit of an issue crop up over the past few months and it was only recently that I realized I was dealing with Plantar Fasciitis. Worse yet, that was really inflaming my Achilles which has been a trouble spot for years. I wasn't sure what Dr. Ross could do but figured that someone digging into my foot and trying to loosen up the tightness couldn't hurt. I now find myself, two weeks later, without Plantar Fasciitis pain and my Achilles being about 95% of what it was prior. He gave me a number of exercises to work on at home and everything seems to be right on track. I've recommended Dr. Ross to many people personally but, after solving the Plantar Fasciitis mystery, I thought I would take it to Yelp. read more

Dr. Ross fixed me up after I failed to do physical therapy after surgery on my collar bone. My left shoulder and back were pretty locked up after my mobility was neglected and over the course of a number of visits I felt like a normal, mobile human again. I've recommended many friends and people at my gym to Dr. Ross and I go back to get additional release on my shoulders after I get twisted up doing Brazilian Jui Jitsu. I really wanted to try ART after reading about it's success rate for chronic issues. I have been to Mike Ross and his colleagues for a number of functional issues and for a pre and post shoulder surgery treatment plan. I've received great care and practical self-care plans. It's always holistic, much more than just one modality, and it always makes sense to me. I had great success with the chronic issues, and my surgery recovery was easily 3x more rapid with Dr Ross' approach than it had been on my other shoulder. I really like the fact that they've always aimed to get me back to health as quickly as possible. Too many experiences with physical therapists who immediately sign you up for multiple visits spanning months. It's not always one and done, but it's happened I've recommended them to at least a dozen friends. read more

There are the chiropractors that you see and wonder what they are actually doing for your body, and then there's Dr Ross. Mike Ross is extremely talented-every time I see him for maintenance or an injury, I leave feeling better. He is not afraid to use his thumbs to dig into tight muscles and has many techniques to help keep your body functioning at as high of a level as possible. Mike helps me stay functional for the sports I play and most importantly keeps me moving so I can perform the vigorous duties of my job as a Firefighter. I recommend him to my family, friends, athletes, firefighters and anyone looking to actually improve-not just go through the motions. I went to this dr ross 4/16/2015 for first time patient exam due to a tore hip flexor. a first time patient exam is 175.00 i received a letter from health insurance with what he charged them,, he fraudulently charged me close to 300 dollars. when i first received this bill i left a message upon message begging for him to call me back. to dispute services that were not provided. he called me once and left a voicemail saying insurances are a hassle. i have called more than once a week trying to get into contact with him. on top of him charging me unlawfully, he was pushing and pushing for me to go to his friend in ballard to get a xray for my hip, since he would be the only one to know how to position my hip correctly for the xray. after him "adjusting" my leg, i started to have extreme piercing pains going all the way down my leg that have never stopped since seeing him. i have since then found a doctor to help. instead of making my hip manageable, he has completely blew out my left leg, cant even do a full squat anymore. now have constant pain in my leg. they would not send me a bill due to the charge dispute,, and i have now been sent a collection notice for non payment. he will not contact me, and has officially put a notch on my credit. i am taking him to court, the health department will also be contacted due to the dirty conditions he operates out of. was sent a bill on 6/09/2015 and received a collection notice 6/20/2015 read more

Dr Mike Ross is the best acute-injury treatment doc in the Puget Sound. He's heard my complaints and fixed my broken limbs too many times to count. He's the only doc I go to for regular chiro / A.R.T. / Rock Tape / rehab / surgery recovery / strength training. His homework is the real deal.... sometimes it takes more than one visit to fix years of sitting at a desk checking email & the Face Book. Get off your a__ and better yourself! read more

Dr Ross is amazing. He is the type of Chiropractor that wants to heal people not just treat them over and over and over like most chiropractors. I have seen him for many issues over the years and he has always had a solution to my joint/back/shoulder/knee issues.
