Alison is quite possibly the worst wedding photographer you could ask for. When we met with her,…read moreshe was super friendly and, since she had already shot a Greek wedding we thought she'd be perfect. We were so unbelievably wrong! She asked to be paid in full, up front and suggested that we have 2 photographers because of the size of our wedding. When we asked her to add an hour to our original time, she asked for more money and would not allow us to pay the day of (even though we had paid everything else). After 3 months we received our "finished product". Out of 4000 images only 20 were edited and the rest were just put on the disks, some weren't even oriented in the correct direction. There was no reason to have 2 photographers because they both took the same shots from the same angles. We also noticed that some images that we knew had been taken weren't there. Most importantly, 2514 (more than HALF) of our images were BLURRY or completely out of focus! She didn't even take important shots like my dad walking me down the aisle or the groom walking down with his parents! The standard wedding shots (first dance, first kiss, bouquet/garter toss, etc.) are all blurry. When contacted, she admitted to giving less than professional work (actually using the word "amateur") and blamed everyone (including her assistant) and everything but herself. After weeks of back and forth emailing, she sent a usb with all images including those we knew were missing (even though she claimed she had given us everything before). However, she wouldn't return emails in a timely fashion, cancelled meetings we had scheduled AND didn't refund any of our money!! I am now left with unusable images. She did however include several images of herself having fun eating and dancing at my reception. Not professional at all.I would avoid Alison's services 100%.

It was the first time a lot of our friends and family were getting to see our six-week-old, and so I wanted a photographer there so that we could all enjoy the party and not worry about taking pictures and exchanging them later. Taylor was recommended to me by someone in my moms' group and she was really personable and quick to respond when I was inquiring about her services and firming up the time. I met her for the first time the day of the party and she was fantastic. She got so many pictures, but we almost didn't notice her. She was inconspicuous and down on the floor getting pictures of the children on their level and amazing photos of our friends and family holding our daughter in the most natural setting. She got pictures of everybody in addition to special details of the party decorations. My toddler son just loved her and she got some really fun pictures of him. We got an edited CD of the pictures as well as a password protected gallery a few weeks later and were very pleased. When it came time to take some milestone family photos this summer, I contacted Taylor again. She was able to book me at my requested appointment time within a week and together we chose a location (the Blue Trees on Allen Parkway). I let her know I needed a quick turnaround on the pictures ahead of time and yet again she delivered. The shoot itself was so much fun. She is so relaxed and has so much patience, more so than I'd seen with any other photographer that's done our family's pictures in the past. When my son started to get a little weary about 3/4 the way through, Taylor whipped out some bubbles and all the sudden he got a second wind. It's so nice that not only do I have some beautiful pictures, but some fun memories of the day. It was really important to me to have a variety of pictures and she delivered with a gallery of over 100 photos. I am thrilled with each one and so glad I went with her extra full CD add on to the package. Taylor is both professional AND creative. She's great to work with and delivers more than the standard family photos. They are truly special. Her fine art photography is gorgeous as well and she even manages to be a great event photographer.
