"""update....hr block just emailed me and rejected this stating it "didn't meet their conjunct community standards" """""" I have previously been to this same HR Block a few years back and had a good experience. I convinced my finance to go here and we met with our tax advisor via your website, Chip. Chip spent the time to explain everything, maximize our refund and overall was easy to work with. However, he explained to us both that we would have to pay for our fees, then our taxes could be filed on JAN 31ST. We had no issue with this, and the next day my fiance went to the office and paid for both of our fees (a total of $199 for preparation for each return). He signed his documents and was told that on the 31st, both federal and state returns would be filed. Then, I went in and signed my documents, and the woman also explained to me since we are fully paid, H&R will send our taxes to state and federal and file them on JAN 31ST. Jan 31st came and went, and we were attempting to check our status of our returns via the mobile app, online, and through the IRS website AND the IRS phone number. The IRS kept stating they never got our information. This prompted us to contact the office. When I called, I asked to check the status of my return, this was on Feb 3rd at 11am. The woman was VERY rude and asked when I was there. When I stated it was about 2-3 wks prior, she stated "well thats impossible, nobody was here 3 wks ago" I was very upset and explained AGAIN it was approximately 2 or 3 wks ago (I couldn't remember the date I was there. She then put me on hold, and was put out to even help me. She then explained "Well it LOOKS like they were filed, but oh ...I don't know" So I asked her, what does that mean?! She then said "Well look, I can't help you with this only Chip can help you" I asked to speak to someone else there who could help me, she said sorry, Chip doesn't come back to the office for 2 days. Meanwhile, when my fiance called he spoke to a man who said that his taxes weren't filed because we "didn't pay". He explained to the man that we in fact DID pay and the woman said they would be filed on the 31st. I was very upset by nobody being able to help and the rudeness of this woman on the phone (her name was Diane) that I e-mailed Chip. Chip then stated he would email update me and let me know what was going on with my return. I explained to him we are getting married, and need this money to pay off vendors for our wedding and it was important to me to make sure my money came relatively soon. Then, the very next day, the IRS emailed me and told me my return was accepted. I was upset because this shows that nobody filed my taxes on the 31st as they said they would. When you pay over $400 to get your taxes prepared, I expect someone to be able to do their job, and get it done promptly. I had issues logging into the mobile app, the website , and I am upset that each person we spoke to couldn't help us and give us an answer to our questions, which frankly are quite easy to answer. Every representative had a different answer, and I will never return to HR Block after this experience. I think you should have more than the receptionist be able to assist when you call and ask about your return. When I get assigned something at work, I work within the deadline and get it done. I am glad that the people you have employees could care less about what they do for a living. I will never return. F-
