My sons played a few years here and overall had a great experience until our most recent. The schedule was adjusted without telling us, we showed up and then had to adjust accordingly. So five was apologetic and accommodating and I will say, their coaches are lovely and great with kids. If you have a soccer loving kiddo, or one that wants to try, this is a good spot. Love this indoor venue. 4 fields on each side which allows for ample viewing from home base (lounge area)- total of 8. Very clean and comfortable place which is noticed right away upon entering.. This January was our first experience with indoor soccer here and it exceeded my expectations. Being that it's turf you move fast so a wonderful different experience which challenges players. You also get to watch the game or practice later on as they video them. Not only is this a great of you happen to miss a game or practice as an audience member but also because as a player you're able to go back and see where you can improve. When watching from the field area and not the lounge, I suggest bringing an extra layer as it can get chilly. Also take your time to get there the first couple times as location can be tricky to navigate. Sofive is set amongst an industrial neighborhood full of warehouses. I still get confused and I've been there every weekend for the past two months. Every warehouse and street looks the same to me lol. Nice bonus - they serve beer and snacks. read more

Soccer and beer... two of my all-time favorite things. Put them together and you have, well, there's a good chance there's going to be a fight. (Hey - hooligans are a passionate bunch!) But I digress. Only found out about this place recently when my kids signed up for a winter soccer clinic and I'm loving it. Not too far from Rt. 17 and Paterson Plank Road - after a few twists and turns you come upon a pretty basic looking building, venture inside and... it's packed to the rafters with soccer players and parents and fans. 8 (small) indoor fields with a little snack bar lounge area (with 4 beers on tap!) looking down at the fields so you can enjoy a pint while your kid(s) are sweating and busting their humps trying to become the next Beckenbauer, Maradona or David D'Errico (hey - not only was he the captain for the US National Soccer Team back in the day but he had a good run with the NY Arrows when indoor soccer was actually a 'thing' in the early 1980's and won four championships in a row!) Free wifi is iffy and slow at best. Fields are kept in good condition. read more

Sofive Meadowlands is a Awesome, fun Nj Soccer Center we love this place for meeting the needs of our long winters and fun indoor soccer sports. My husband immediately thought of the tournaments at Sofive Meadowlands because of his many years of coaching my daughter's teams in the winters her and now my son's teams. I love to see the years of smiles from my family and memories. We are blessed to know this place and for the parents who just need a place to let there kids have a party or play there is an All Star VIP room to relax and enjoys the view from both sides of the field Why has Soccer not become an American Elite Sport? Soccer is literally the best sport where our kids learn everything in life from working together, taking criticism from coaches, parents and life long skills. read more

This place is an accident waiting to happen. The Youth soccer leagues they run have no rules. Girls on our team had broken fingers, concussions and injured ankles. Our girls were pounded into the boards and the refs don't call anything. This seems to be the common case after speaking to other parents who had their children in other leagues throughout the winter season. The Refs are high school or college kids and not keeping the safety of the kids the most important thing!! Avoid this place. read more

This place is pretty impressive overall. It's great For a fun night out with friends to play soccer, or a birthday party. This year, my boys' indoor team signed up for a league and tournament there. Most games have had decent referees, but some are just awful. We are a big soccer family. We watch soccer and understand that referees don't always get the call right, but when you have referees literally looking away from the game and getting the calls wrong because they weren't paying attention, it's get very frustrating. We pay good money to be playing at this location. We expect the referees to do their best. The kids work so hard and deserve a fair game both ways. The referee for out last game was so bad that he didn't even know what the final score for the game was. Let's hope they improve. read more

I went up to the bar section at 11:30 pm hoping to get a drink , sat there for about five minute and I didn't get served . When someone came knowing that is late I asked " are you guys open?" The guy looked at almost like profiling me and look around and said yeah we closed I was like ok so I went to sit in the sofa while I waited for my friend . First impressions are always the most important part of any encounter in my opinion;whether it be meeting a person, viewing a product or going to a place. My first impression of SoFive was quite shocking, in the best of ways. The creator of this wondrous football (soccer) complex really had the players comfort and enjoyment in mind. The turf is immaculate, the balls are supplied to you, and the goalie gloves as well. No wonder why that even late on a Monday night (Wednesday and Friday they also have $10 pay and play pick up) you can find well over 50 people of all size, age and skill level playing the beautiful game. They also have leagues for people to join and the fields can be rented. Definitely recommend SoFive to anyone; from the D1 player to the guy or gal who just learned how to juggle properly. read more

The fields are fun and it's a different way to play which is great. However, the refs aren't great. One ref targeted a young 9 year old player. Calling fouls that didn't exist. Seriously a video can show what he was doing. Brought the player to tears without ever talking to the player. At a young age these refs have to opportunity to be teachers. How does an adult bully a child on 5e soccer field. Then to top things off we had to walk through a large group of men drinking beers in the parking lot to get to our cars. Not a place I would bring my child back to again. No pride taken by the employees. read more

Awful place. Outside of some staff members who are dedicated, the facility is garbage. The turf on multiple fields is ripped up. One ref is actually good. The others are terrible. Playing off the walls is not real soccer and someone recently tore their ACL when crashing into one. They use technology like a bandaid to cover up bigger problems like staff members getting assaulted or fights during pick up and leagues. They will throw a bunch of fancy events at you in hopes of distracting you from their unclean bar (notice the flies in there) or the floors always being sticky, or their bathrooms being destroyed. Oh have fun walking past all the people drinking in the parking lot in order to get to your car after your child's practice or game. read more

I rarely take the time to write reviews but those guys are really awesome. Great: - easy to park, - the changing room are very clean and modern, - the fields are top notch: on par with centers in Germany or the UK Ok: - Food is good, but could be improved / have more choice - Weekends are starting to be packed. Make sure to call in adavance or book via the app. I've heard good things for the leagues but I haven't been part of yet. Will update my review in the future. read more

Great place to get a rapid pace of play. Competition is good in sofive. It's 7 minutes or two goals and winner stays on for the open play. Open play is for 2 hours and only ten dollars. The facility has eight great fields and the whole facility is modern and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this field to anybody. read more

The facilities are great. They even have a viewing room overlooking all the fields that you can order drinks and food. The only downside is that they do not closely monitor their tournaments so teams can and do switch out players between games and put in older/bigger/elite players just to gain an advantage. read more

Great facility. The walls kept the ball in constant play and made the game more exciting to watch. My girl (u10) loved playing here and the idea of using the walls as another team mate added another dimension to the game that she really enjoyed. read more

Great facility. Good viewing from second level. The men's bathroom was flooded but they cleaned it up quickly. Good snack choices. However, very poor referees. I expected better. They don't control the game. With 5v5 very physical games, they need to control the games better. Won't be back unless that improves. Too much risk of physical injury. read more

in the winter season we sent our son to this facility for red bull soccer training. very comfortable training spot. sometimes it's hard to have a parking space, but we always find some around the region. read more
