You can access this from an elevator from the hotel, or there is another street entrance where the juice bar is downstairs, and you access this through separate elevator banks where you pass by their shop to make your way towards the lobby. This main floor includes the locker rooms, shop, check-in, and a beautiful lobby area with a long workstation table and some comfortable couches. The fitness floor is in an extended L-shape that spans the perimeter, and allows in a lot of natural light. Up the flight of stairs near the locker rooms is where the studios were (yoga, pilates, group fitness) along with Broken Coconut and of course, the pools, indoors and out. The spa is also accessible from this second level, however there was one entry that didn't permit members which was a little frustrating. I'm not a hardcore workout enthusiast, so I cannot go on about equipment, etc. However, the treadmills and stretching areas were fine, so I won't complain about any of that. Since there was a great shower upstairs, I didn't use the ones in the locker rooms. This location is a Destination one, and that breaks down into whether you are grandfathered in, or if your membership states 'Destination HY' if you've joined after a certain time since Equinox changes the names of the membership tiers ever so slightly (especially the cost difference). If you're already this status, give them a try just to say you worked out at the flagship, but if you're not, the day fee will be worthy for all they have to offer.

Review for Broken Coconut at Equinox Hudson Yards…read more My first interaction as a new Equinox Hudson Yards member was unfortunately at Broken Coconut, and it left a very poor first impression. On my first day, before starting my workout, I wanted to grab something to eat since I hadn't had lunch. I purchased food from a food truck outside, assuming there would be a place inside the club where I could sit and eat. I was told there was seating upstairs, so I went into Broken Coconut and saw members sitting at tables working on their computers. The bar seating was completely empty, so I took a seat. A few minutes later, a blonde girl staff member approached me and informed me that outside food was not allowed. While I understand that businesses have policies, what was disappointing was the way the situation was handled. I explained that it was my first day at the gym and that I genuinely didn't know the rule, especially since Broken Coconut is located inside the club. Not once did anyone apologize or show any understanding. Instead, I was made to feel unwelcome and was essentially told to leave and sit outside. For a club that charges approximately $430 per month, I expected a higher level of customer service and hospitality, particularly toward a brand-new member. The issue wasn't the policy itself it was the lack of courtesy, empathy, and professionalism in how it was communicated at Broken Coconut. I want to clarify that this review if only for that establishment within Equinox. Trevor, who gave me the gym tour was nothing but fantastic and even apologized for the staff behavior at the eatery. What should have been an exciting first day at Equinox became a negative experience because of the staff's approach. Thank you, Broken Coconut staff, for turning what could have been a great first impression into a disappointing one.

Equinox Hudson Yards - It is unacceptable to pay $380 for a monthly gym membership and have equipment broken for more than a week.

I joined this gym in January and its the best investment I've made this year, im a shitty day trader so thats not saying much. The Yoga studios are so peaceful and the instructors are all masters. Notably Jason Morris hot yoga classes are energizing and therapeutic, he is such a Guru Ive learned so much about anatomy and making a mind body connection that it spills over into weight training. Luliias voice is so soothing and her classes are so fun, the Friday class specially feels like everyone is connected Gigis class is super cool on Sundays it should be renamed Juicy Yoga with Gigi lol, shes so funny and connects with everyone, the class feels like cuddles after sex. Spin with Juggy and Melora is elite. Ive gotten so much faster in my road bike after just a few classes. Functional training with Nyerre Mays is un-unreal. He is such a cool dude and such a Pro. The pool is epic, the Jacuzzi forget about it. The entire staff is super friendly and makes everyone feel super welcomed. I truly feel at home whenever I make it to the gym. The MVPs of the gym are the cleaning staff though, everything is so spotless all the time. In a city so chaotic is nice to have this peaceful oasis.

Unfortunately the GM Linda Bookbinder is a disingenuous phony who pretends to listen and care about your issues but forgets everything as soon as she walks away. I was a guest of a member during the 18-inch snow storm, so I wore my $500 dollar suede Danner lights (Made in the USA) to manage the snow. Upon entry, I was informed by the staff that, due to the suede being too light, it looked too much like Timberland boots, which are banned. I was professionally whisked to a backroom, where I was offered to wear black loafers 3 sizes too large if I wanted to make my appointment. I spent the rest of my time skipping through the venue in order to not trip over myself, wearing massively oversized shoes. I would have been okay with this footwear restriction if it was universally enforced, but there were plenty of people in the club wearing duck boots, metal hook leather hiking boots, and even the same type of boots of a slightly darker shade. Apparently, the shoe shade restriction was not something members are aware about (the no sneakers restriction is well known). I have previously been a guest here with positive experiences. However, today I was put in an illogically unsafe experience, forced to wear loaner shoes 3 sizes too large, because $500 lighter suede boots are deemed less classy than duck boots for being too"Timberland like" during a snow storm.

They have contests at the post-game bar meet ups for things like the most team spirit and social media love where you can win credits for future games or more importantly, a bar tab. They update their rain hotline instead of making you come to the field, only to cancel the game. They have a professional photographer that comes to the game to take action shots. Their refs are actually friendly. They hold games at a reasonable hour and not 10:00 at night. They don't allow bunting. Most importantly, their fields are not in the middle of crime ridden areas. ZogSports was fun because I got to play kickball with some great friends, but they run a really poor organization. It's a shame that this is one of the only adult sports leagues in Hoboken.

Probably not, unless you do one of the super-competitive leagues. I did cornhole, so umm, yeah, I still needed to hit the gym afterwards haha. But I had a ton of fun, and I made some great friends that I still talk to outside of the games. There are a variety of options. In the past, I've also done volleyball, but there's kickball, soccer, dodgeball, softball, and more. You want to play it? They probably have it. You can also choose your competitive level, so whether you're a top athlete, or have 0 hand-eye coordination, there is a league for you. There are leagues offered throughout the year, and you can choose based on days (ie: Sunday league, as opposed to a weekday league). If your work schedule isn't flexible, sometimes the times can conflict. It's also a little expensive (BUT part of your contribution goes to donating to the winning team's philanthropic organization). You also get discounted alcohol after the games. Overall, if you have the time and you enjoy being social, do it. I suggest joining with at least one friend in the beginning so you feel at ease, but if you rather go at it solo, you'll still have a blast!
